It’s a busy place but not crowded or too noisy. Wide range to choose from, from sashimi to noodles, definitely something for everyone, even gluten free or vego.
The sashimi is fresh enough, and the udon is generously portioned.

Dont be fooled by the unassuming appearance, Yume serves up some great Japanese food at very reasonable price. Consistent, unpretentious and delicious. Yume is a family favorite of ours. If you are visiting for lunch you cant go past the bento boxes.
The sashmi is always fresh and well cut, staff is super friendly . Its great for a quick mid week meal.
One of my local favourites! Good value for money in terms of portion size and flavour is certainly there.
We always get a Don Buri (rice bowl) - love the Oyako Don (marinated juicy chicken thigh pieces, egg, vegetables and rice), and the Wagyu Beef Don. We are yet to find another Don Buri in Sydney that we enjoy as much as Yume Gladesville’s (we’ve tried looking!).
Crab net spring rolls and Karaage Udon bowl are also some of my favourites.

My Wagyu Beef Don meal was wholly satisfying; tender strips of wagyu is served with egg and a generous portion of vegetables and rice.
The menu is on the pricier side, and this is hardly a fancy restaurant, but the food is delicious, and not just your standard Japanese fare.
Yume Sushi has three restaurants, one in North Strathfield, one in Drummoyne and another in Gladesville. My wife and I drop into the Gladesville restaurant every now and again when we need a sushi and sashimi fix. The fish is always fresh and the rice is nicely seasoned. Also on the menu are salads, sushi rolls, noodles, donburis and all the other tasty deep fried stuff such as tempura and karaage. Food is consistently good, portions are very generous and the service has always been welcoming. Yummy.
Yume Sushi is a fairly new restaurant located on Victoria Road, Gladesville. I happened to be in the area one night looking for something new so I decided to give it a try. Given the look of the outside and the inside decor I wasn’t expecting much however, I was pleasantly surprised. We were greeted immediately when we entered and were seated. The service was friendly and somewhat efficient however we did have to ask for soy sauce to be brought to the table. (Not a big deal, but something small to improve). We decided to eat in a tapas style fashion as the menu offered quite a few of the dishes per piece. I personally love this as you can get a wide variety of the menu. I highly recommend trying the Soft Shell Crab Fritter entree to start . This is one of the best soft shell crab dishes I have ever had & I’m a big fan. It takes a brave restaurateur to be the fourth Japanese restaurant to try the same site. Yet after the departures of Momo , Ueno Aji and Moon’s Sushi , that’s just what Hyun Cha has done. He’s not without experience: since being ousted for the Westfield Sydney refurbishment, he’s opened three spots in Drummoyne, North Strathfield and now Gladesville. Amidst a kawaii garage sale chic collection of mismatched chairs and repurposed wood, you’ll dine upon many of the usual suspects, presented in a Western-friendly pictorial menu. There’s sushi... ...sashimi... ... Spicy Edamame ($5.90) , Tempura ($9.90/5 pieces) prawns and seasonal vegetables, and... ...a half eggplant Nasu Age Den Kaku ($8.90) that might have benefitted from a shade more cooking. Came here for a casual lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. I ordered the teriyaki chicken bento and it was plenty of food. It was fresh and very tasty. The tempura udon also looked good. You get a 20% discount for paying with cash at lunch time, which makes the price very reasonable. Overall, it is a nice local Japanese restaurant.
Really nice and cozy place. great for a relaxing place to eat. Food was super delicious, ordered some Udon and both Haru Maki and rice net spring rolls.
Best spring rolls I've had in so long but they were really small spring rolls for $8 which felt a bit dear, Wish there was more than 4 mini spring rolls for that price or that they were bigger ones. but still.. VERY YUMMY!
It made up with the biggest bowl AND BEST bowl of Udon we've had and that was priced perfectly. Don't know why it took me so long to come here but looking forward to eating there again! Thank you!

Most amazing experience. The food was way above average absolutely the best tasting and is a great restaurant that you can eat at even if you are by yourself like me! Please come and try it. This will become one of my favourite restaurants! The staff were also very welcoming and kind :)
Great experience. Dropped by for lunch over the weekend. Got a seat immediately, service was friendly and food came out within 10 minutes. Great touch having kid friendly cultery and bowls. Was a hit with our toddler. Shashimi was fresh and Bento box good value with the lunch special.
Excellent Japanese food here, the brown rice rolls are freshly handmade and delicious. We also had the value-for-money lunchbox which included rice, salad, miso, vegetables with your choice of chicken or salmon. The cafe itself is clean and tidy, the tables really funky and decor impeccable. Well done!
