The Yacht Club is in a great location. The upstairs area does tasty pub food and classic drinks, although it can be a little on the pricey side. The downstairs area is a great place to get out in the sun and have a drink on the weekend.
Visited on a weekday while travelling on business. The bistro restaurant was in a pretty location overlooking the small harbor there was plenty of outdoor seating available to enjoy the view.Starter of tomato bruschetta was tasty although the bread was very average and not up to bruschetta standard. Entrée of Creamy Garlic Prawns with Basmati Rice was decent and the prawns (5x) were of a good size. This can be a light main choice for some people due to the portion size.Main consisted of a fillet of barramundi, 2x prawns, and 2x halves of Moreton Bay Bugs. All the seafood on the platter tasted nice and fresh. I was disappointed though to find both halves of the Moreton Bay Bug was the top less meaty half.In regards to the price visitors who are members of the club will pay a premium of up to $4-5 depending on the dish and I've never been a fan of such a system. Furthermore, while I did enjoy the simplistic style of the food and the overall freshness, the menu was definitely overpriced for a casual bistro style eatery, in particular the seafood section.
I am in love with this place! The ambience, the food, live music (weekends, ofcourse) and the food! Everything is just awesome! Been here twice.
