As soon as we entered Mr Tucci we knew we were in for a good meal. The friendly service really added to the atmosphere and the decor was the cherry on top!
The smashed avo was perfect! Goats cheese was a great addition and the egg was poached to perfection! It would have been nice if there was a bit more avocado - too much avo is never a problem!
If you’re after a hearty meal then look no further than the chicken and waffles! The combination worked perfectly together and I was left extremely full after conquering the meal.
The granola bar was quite sweet, great concept where it’s granola but in a bar form like you would buy in a supermarket. The purple stuff was weird and did not enhance the dish anddd the fruit was fresh and delicious.
The Mac n cheese eggs benny was the perfect combination, mac n cheese was great and was not too sickening or over powering. The eggs were cooked perfectly 🙌🏼

Mr Tucci is a bright, warm and inviting café located at 10-12 High Street in Glen Iris. From the minds of its predecessor café, Son of Tucci, Mr Tucci provides a similar customer experience with friendly staff and delicious coffee and food. We ordered the Warm Wild Rice Salad with house-smoked salmon, Shoestring Fries with aioli and the Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich on toasted sourdough. For drinks we had a beetroot, lemon, apple & ginger Nudie Juice and a smoothie with raspberry, strawberry, pear and banana with sesame quinoa biscuit.
The Warm Wild Rice Salad came with grilled king oyster mushrooms, turtle beans, radicchio, charred corn, edamame, roast pumpkin and mushroom vinaigrette. The mushrooms were well-cooked with a delicate and soft texture and the roast pumpkin was cooked to perfection. The smoked salmon was fresh and accompanied the salad very nicely. The Schnitzel Sandwich was a hearty meal served with delicious Monterey Jack cheese and perfectly ripe avocado. The aioli gave the sandwich an extra kick and overall, the meal was extremely satisfying.
The smoothie was incredible! The flavours of all the berries and fruits in the smoothie, mixed together tasted exceptionally fruity and it was a very refreshing and sweet drink.
The two waitresses who served us were incredibly friendly as they catered to all of our needs. They gave great suggestions and we were very happy with our selections. I can’t wait to come back soon!

Had the tasting plate, and I'm in love with the maple bacon and the waffle.
Bacon was cooked very nicely, and the glaze, combined with the avo was just perfect.
Waffle had the right mix of sweet, sour and savoury, which I really enjoy ❤
What made things even better was how friendly and attentive the staff were!

Their coffee is A grade - awesome almond latte via milk lab - and they offer great little bite size treats on display as well as a nice simple selection of breakfast options which isn’t overwhelming or over the top. Just what u need on the weekend, simple.
Nice ambience also, not too loud to chat.
Great for a weekend morning brekkie catch-up or a drive by takeaway if u got no time to stay a while.
Kids love it too, fair few around on w/ends..

Tasting plate is your trusted go to dish - mix of savoury and sweet altogether. I’ve been to Son of Tucci and Santucci and this cafe has got to be the best one!!!
Mr Tucci is a lovely bright and open spot in Glen Iris.
I ordered their benny, fried chicken burger and waffles. The pork belly on the benny was so tender and the pork belly skin was so crispy! The fried chicken burger was a delicious weekend treat. The waffles were gorgeous and went so well with the roasted peaches, passion fruit curd and raspberry gel!
Their coffee was great as well - you should definitely try their “barista breakfast” which allows you to try their single origin in 3 different ways. Not that many cafes do this, and I think it’s such a great concept.
To finish off, I tried their Italian sponge cake filled with lemon curd. It was honestly so delicious guys and it’s probably because the owners mother makes them! Highly, highly recommend that you order it.
The team there is AMAZING as well - everyone was sore friendly and helpful.

Mr Tucci is a small but beautifully bright and airy cafe tucked away unassumingly on High Street just before the main strip of Ashburton shops. Loved the leafy interior and super high ceilings.
They have a typical Melbourne cafe menu with a smashed avo, a benny, smoothie bowl, granola, burgers and fritters - however each had a “Tucci twist” which made it interesting and memorable.
I had the Tasting Plate ($21) which had a single serve of 3 signature dishes - the smashed avo with maple sriracha bacon, the pea, fennel and feta fritters with pumpkin hummus, baby beets and herbed yoghurt, and their wonderfully unusual sourdough ‘waflova’, a waffle x pavlova hybrid with passionfruit curd, vanilla bean creme and a roasted peach. Standouts were the maple sriracha bacon (best I’ve had!) and waflova.
My partner had the Smoothie Bowl ($17) which was a mango, pear, avocado and banana smoothie topped with pineapple & mint salsa, fresh red grapes & strawberries, cacao nibs and toasted coconut flakes. This was very light and refreshing but quite tart - we couldn’t taste the mango at all.
Overall a lovely local cafe where everyone is bound to find a dish to love!
I was greeted by literally the nicest staff ever! Thank you for making my experience at your cafe incredible. The waffles were my top pic. And once I stopped drooling on the table I was straight onto the eggs Benny. Sweet first tho, always.

I tried the baked egg with sour dough bread. It was just amazing. The customer service was excellent 10/10. We told them that we want the food spicy, they made the food spicy as well as got so many different spicy sauces to match our taste. I highly recommend this place.
Everything the food and the service will be amazing. My favourite breakfast/brunch place in Melbourne.
The Reuben Sandwich is simply delicious. Beef could be sliced a little thinner, but the tastes all work wonderfully well - those zesty pickled flavours with the dreamy,
creamy dressing and melted cheese. Hits the spot every time on a cold afternoon.
What a pleasant surprise… this would be my favourite chilli scramble of all time! 😍
