It's a pretty small restaurant with maybe 10 tables max. We went for the steak night and I must say, the wagyu steak was pretty good. It was a tender and buttery, without being overly oily. Some wagyu steaks can get a bit nauseating when it's too buttery/oily, this was a perfect balance between the meat and the buttery-ness of the steak. The chips were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Needed to add salt to the chips but that's not an issue at all.
Would go again for steak night and maybe try out the other items on the menu.
Easy 3.5, perhaps 4. - The place is a surprise. Its not what I was expecting - in a good way.
I went with a couple of friends (total 3) on a Monday, and was expecting a semi glamorous restaurant - instead it is a small B&B style of place that offered exceptional individual service, where the small menu is not to be understated. The food was WONDERFUL - perhaps not the cheapest, but I think the meat was worth every dollar. Would I go back = definitely yes!
The steaks and ribs were superb! The beef ribs were super tender, juicy and fell off the bone. The 400g rump steak was a solid feed and nicely cooked at medium rare. The bee battered chips were solid potatoes, the real thing!
Every Friday night until end July is steak, chips and salad for $23!!
A real hidden gem!! Go get it.
