This is really wonderful for Izakaya. One of the most authentic places I've visited in Melbourne, in terms of both food and atmosphere. We ordered lots of little plates and everything was delicious. Highly recommend the skewers and the sushi, which is really fresh.
Ordered the banquet as with kids would make it simpler. Besides the sashimi being of an acceptable standard it was one of the worse meals I have ever had. Supposed wagyu beef could not be cut with a knife, more like a supermarket home brand minute steak, udon noodles over cooked and vegetables soggy
Would give no stars if I could. The Tonkatsu was like a thin piece of overcooked jerky. The crumb exterior was dark brown and not the golden color you'd associate with this dish. The unagi squid fried rice took over 30min to arrive and had no Unagi. Service was non existent, didn't even offer to
Having lived in Japan I can say this place was terrible. All Chinese staff that make you write down your order which of course you will get wrong. They don't double check with you. The staff all speak English but rarely serve you. Prices are high and the food is OK but when you weigh up all the fact
The food we received was not very nice. The flavours were not good for Japanese food and one dish we recieved had a lot of raw chicken. They did not put in any effort into the cooking.
Went here one friday night on a whim. turned out to have Niigata and Yebisu Beers listed on menu... Excited was an understatement, Then i tried the D07 Deep Fried Chicken.. Safe to say every friday night you will find me there. looking to do a birthday shindig to share this experiance with all my
Couldn't even walk after I and my husband finished "Sakura set", so full I was. Tasty, beautifully served and very filling! One of my favorite places on Kings Way. Highly recommended.
Think twice before you go, this is THE WORST Japanese restaurant in Melbourne, everything is overpriced, I ordered sukiyaki, it has literally 5 slices of cheap frozen beef, two pieces of tofu, and rest are cabbage, I was totally in shock this is what I paid 18 dollars for, unbelievable
