My wife and I went to this restaurant for lunch. We ordered hot pot. The spicy soup was great! The mushroom soup is quite mild taste but still good. The Tom Yum soup was surprisingly great! Also, the quailty of food was awesome. And about the price for hot pot buffet.....VERY WORTH PAYING! Not too pricy. We will definitely go there again!
Bargain at lunch time and a great variety of food. I come here very often and it has never disappointed. One of the best hot pots in Melbourne.
Visited this lovely hot pot place twice, good value and food are above standard! Also want to give them a shout out for this difficult period of time. A living example of how Chinese could run an excellent business with moral! We stand with you.
The best hot pot in Melbourne. Thanks, 加油!
Good variety, clean, finished items were replenished quickly, great selection of sauces, efficient service from floor staff, spacious, well ventilated. Reasonable prices for weekday lunchtime. Nice to have own pot with choice of 2 soup broths.
This place is value for money with the arrange of buffet food on offer for a hot pot and dining. The soup base is really good and the service is always good even no busy they get. Worth the wait and delicious food
Decent selection of fresh seafood and hotpot items to choose from. Hot food and desserts were both tasty with a variety of options. Plenty of sauce options too. Wish the session was longer than 1.5hrs!
We ate till we couldn't eat anymore. The variety on the dinner buffet is pretty good. I enjoyed all the different dessert options. The meat was frozen but tasted alright 👌🏻 no complaints here. The price is worth it if you're a big eater.
We came to this restaurant for hotpot over the weekend and loved it! There was a wide selection of cooked foods, dessert, sauces and raw food for the hotpot. The service was also excellent. The only downside was that the soups for the hotpot were quite diluted and not very flavourful. Otherwise the food was delicious! Can’t wait to come back!
My friends and I came here for the all-you-can eat dinner buffet. We gorged ourselves and left feeling sick... So clearly House of Delight did something right.
First good thing, they offer up to two soup bases per person - off the top of my head it's spicy and hot, tasty, mushroom, green pepper and tomato. Tasty is apparently just clear soup, but none of us had it so we don't really know what that means.
Pretty great selection of seafood - prawns, mussels, abalone, pipis, squid, octopus, crab, scampi. Good selection of meat as well - beef, sliced lamb, chicken, and even spicy variants of beef and chicken. Lots of veggies and noodle options (if you're into wasting stomach space). Awesome sauce station, with something like 25+ sauces on display, where budding saucemakers can mix sauces and be disquietingly adventurous to their hearts' delight.
In addition to the raw food, they also had a selection of cooked food of Sichuan delights, such as the battered chicken with chili and Sichuan peppers, and other dishes such as marinated jellyfish, egg tarts, takoyaki balls and spicy squid tentacles.
They had a small dessert selection of cakes, some fruit (watermelon, melon, orange slices, plums) and a chocolate fondue. Desserts themselves were alright - cakes weren't of great quality, but I think the focus is on the hotpot, so you get what you expect. So overall, pretty good selection for an all you can eat place.
Ambiance was alright. Atmosphere wasn't super warm or inviting - decor was a little spartan, but I guess it's pretty minor, seeing as the food is the real MVP. Service was good - they were busy but it didn't take long to flag a waiter down, and they gave us new bottles of water without us having to ask. The session booking was for two hours, but that's plenty of time to eat, and we didn't feel rushed.
Would definitely come again.
Great value if you want to have both buffet and hotpot at 1 place. They have great selection for both hotpot section and hot food. Dont miss out on their crawfish or scampi too! Oh, did I forget to mention that they have good selection of dessert too?
I would give it 5star if i didn’t have the tomyum soup. Everything was perfect with their prices. The manager was really nice and friendly which make the whole experience great in overall.
This place has varied of dipping sauces that you can imagine. Good amount of side dishes and stuff that you can put in your pot.
For the hot pot itself, you can choose two flavors of soup to have. I had mushroom and tomyam soup and was recommended by them but it tasted like instant tomyam powder soup that you can find from instant noodles. (No offense)
My friend had a hot and spicy soup and it was really tasty. Would recommend this soup though 👍
Cheap and spacious space. Better grab your fruits from the shelf before the closing time as they won’t refill it for you :)
Great selection of ingredients and a ridiculous amount of sauces. Surprised to see they had a dessert bar as well though no ice cream...
Individual hotpot is nice with two different flavours. Highly recommend this place for catching up with you family and friends. There are frozen seafood and beef, lamb, pork as well as lots of veggies. Also there are cooked hot food as well as dessert with a sauce station. Not so friendly but they fill up the soup when you need it. From the first visit till now it may have reduced the quality but it is still good and nice hot pot feeling.
The customer service was excellent.
Try to come after 8.15pm to avoid traffic either in the restaurant or parking spot.
The foods were amazing, ton of space to sit and to place the plates.
You are able to choose 2 flavour of soups and free water
Drink will be charge on top if you do order.
As the place was crowded, i could only took a few picture but there are more foods and dessert to be served.
The food is being top up frequently and they will clean your plate straight away. You will have many clean warm new plates under the food table.
The place was neat and cleanliness. Definitely will come back.
1-2% charge on card
An eat all you can Hotpot in Glen Waverley. Glad i found this one. Reasonable price, fresh vegies and meat. And heaps of choices. Different kinds of sauces to make. Good service. Staff are very attentive. Car park is not a problem.
My first experience with a hot pot buffet. Great atmosphere and great selection of food. The green pepper soup is awesome. The waiter looking after our table was a lovely gentleman that I believe his name was bang. Will definitely come back and bring friends.
