My wife and I went to this restaurant for lunch. We ordered hot pot. The spicy soup was great! The mushroom soup is quite mild taste but still good. The Tom Yum soup was surprisingly great! Also, the quailty of food was awesome. And about the price for hot pot buffet.....VERY WORTH PAYING! Not too pricy. We will definitely go there again!
Bargain at lunch time and a great variety of food. I come here very often and it has never disappointed. One of the best hot pots in Melbourne.
Visited this lovely hot pot place twice, good value and food are above standard! Also want to give them a shout out for this difficult period of time. A living example of how Chinese could run an excellent business with moral! We stand with you.
The best hot pot in Melbourne. Thanks, 加油!
Good variety, clean, finished items were replenished quickly, great selection of sauces, efficient service from floor staff, spacious, well ventilated. Reasonable prices for weekday lunchtime. Nice to have own pot with choice of 2 soup broths.
This place is value for money with the arrange of buffet food on offer for a hot pot and dining. The soup base is really good and the service is always good even no busy they get. Worth the wait and delicious food
Decent selection of fresh seafood and hotpot items to choose from. Hot food and desserts were both tasty with a variety of options. Plenty of sauce options too. Wish the session was longer than 1.5hrs!
We ate till we couldn't eat anymore. The variety on the dinner buffet is pretty good. I enjoyed all the different dessert options. The meat was frozen but tasted alright 👌🏻 no complaints here. The price is worth it if you're a big eater.
We came to this restaurant for hotpot over the weekend and loved it! There was a wide selection of cooked foods, dessert, sauces and raw food for the hotpot. The service was also excellent. The only downside was that the soups for the hotpot were quite diluted and not very flavourful. Otherwise the food was delicious! Can’t wait to come back!
My friends and I came here for the all-you-can eat dinner buffet. We gorged ourselves and left feeling sick... So clearly House of Delight did something right.
First good thing, they offer up to two soup bases per person - off the top of my head it's spicy and hot, tasty, mushroom, green pepper and tomato. Tasty is apparently just clear soup, but none of us had it so we don't really know what that means.
Pretty great selection of seafood - prawns, mussels, abalone, pipis, squid, octopus, crab, scampi. Good selection of meat as well - beef, sliced lamb, chicken, and even spicy variants of beef and chicken. Lots of veggies and noodle options (if you're into wasting stomach space). Awesome sauce station, with something like 25+ sauces on display, where budding saucemakers can mix sauces and be disquietingly adventurous to their hearts' delight.
In addition to the raw food, they also had a selection of cooked food of Sichuan delights, such as the battered chicken with chili and Sichuan peppers, and other dishes such as marinated jellyfish, egg tarts, takoyaki balls and spicy squid tentacles.
They had a small dessert selection of cakes, some fruit (watermelon, melon, orange slices, plums) and a chocolate fondue. Desserts themselves were alright - cakes weren't of great quality, but I think the focus is on the hotpot, so you get what you expect. So overall, pretty good selection for an all you can eat place.
Ambiance was alright. Atmosphere wasn't super warm or inviting - decor was a little spartan, but I guess it's pretty minor, seeing as the food is the real MVP. Service was good - they were busy but it didn't take long to flag a waiter down, and they gave us new bottles of water without us having to ask. The session booking was for two hours, but that's plenty of time to eat, and we didn't feel rushed.
Would definitely come again.
Friendy staff,delicious food,perfect!
I’ve now been to three hot pot places and this is, by far, the best of them. God, the desserts, the walk-up and self-serve, the variety of ingredients. It’s all wonderful. Great place. Go here.
Have been to this place multiple times and can't say I've ever been disappointed. Price you pay for is whats expected for all you can eat and if you eat tons of seafood. Otherwise its a lot cheaper to go during lunch hours. Waiters always clearing extra plates off everyones table and refilling up individual hot pots. Fresh food variety is great, so is the cooked food which actually taste good too. Get the fresh Egg tarts quick, cause they go as soon as they bring them out.
Very glad this restaurant enforces the no wasting food policy. If you waste food, it will cost you.
Forgot to take pictures of the Hot Pot food. Too busy stuffing my face.
Pros
-Friendly staff
-Good food
-No food wasting policy
Cons
-Music played in the background is a bit strange and so loud its hard to have conversations.
Recommend the tomato soup base!
We've now been back to House of Delight for the second time, first just 2 of us and then with a party of 8 for a birthday. This restaurant probably has the best selection of Hot Pot ingredients going around at the moment, particularly seafood as you can see in the photos.
They also have a good selection of other buffet dishes, so if you like that textural change from boiling your own ingredients, you can also have a choice of things which have actually been cooked in an oven or a wok.
No expense spared on the Marble decor etc, this place does its best to let you know you are eating out at a fancy joint.
Service is efficient if not as friendly as it could be, but on both occasions the restaurant was fully booked and busy busy busy.
For me it's 4.5 stars. My only gripe being that the toilets are too small and busy for such a large restaurant and they have to try harder in keeping them clean.
Apart from that, House of Delight is my current fave Hot Pot place.
It was my first time trying hot pot. We opted for the buffet which I felt could have had more choices. We loved the hot and spicy soup base out of the 3 that we tried and the lamb was exceptional. I had 3 helpings of their matcha and chocolate mousse dessert. I am usually not a matcha person, but this dessert was the best thing I ever had with matcha in it. Service was exceptionally good as there were plenty of waiters checking on us, adding more boiled water into the soup when it ran out, etc. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and will return for more.
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my experience here at House of Delight. The service was very attentive, helpful and friendly. They did so well always clearing plates, pouring drinks and replenishing food throughout the evening. It was a packed out full house too.
From the hot food to the hot pot items, everything I had was fresh and tasty. The little 1 person pot and easy to use hot plate made the experience so much more fun and hygienic!
Standouts for me here were the seafood variety and that epic sauce station! The desserts were also delicious with my favourite of all time, the custard egg tart. Dessert sizes were nice and small so you could try a larger variety. Drink jugs were also reasonable at $15 for a jug of refreshing lemon lime and bitters.
For $43pp it was definitely worth it and will happily be back for more.....real soon!
Although on the other side of town for us, this hot pot joint is great value for money. All you can eat hot pot and a huge selection of ingredients, hot food and desserts. You get your own pot and you can go around picking your ingredients buffet style. I love this as other all you can eat styles either ordering or train can give you a large portion when you really only want one or two pieces.
Been here for both lunch and dinner. Dinner has a better range of food, like crab and baked scallops. Lunch is very cheap (25.8) and will definitely fill you up but the food range is really nothing special. Highlight was the roti with condensed milk on top. Mushroom soup base is terrible, has sliced white button mushrooms on top. Spicy and hot soup base is good.
Lots of variety and was very nice to have a room to ourselves. Very busy restaurant. Tomato soup was my favourite. Staff was polite and helpful
The food here was honestly amazing! I was mind blown at the quality of the foods, especially the dessert! Definitely one of the best hotpot buffets I’ve ever been too! However, I removed a star because some of the foods were not refilled as fast or were not refilled at all when we dined here for an hour and a bit. Luckily being a major sweet tooth, I took desserts first as they tend to be the dishes that were not refilled.
Such good value for money! Staff were very attentive even though the restaurant was very busy. Not only do you get the hot pot selection but also an array of cooked food. The selection of condiments were also great. It is imperative that bookings are made a day or two in advance.

Thanks for the many meals!
Had the buffet hotpot.
This is my go to hotpot place and my favourite in Melbourne currently. I always order the spicy soup and the tomato soup. As I go here quite often I will share my plan of attack which justifies the 5 star rating (if you don't do it this way it could be the reason why there are ratings 4 and under)
1. Gather your sauces. My go to is their sesame sauce which I top with spring onions and cilantro. I also make a soy sauce and vinegar mixture 1:2 ratio with a touch of hot oil. My third sauce is a combination of their 15 or so other sauces. Usually I pick 3 to 4 random ones to use for the day.
2. Gather your vegetables. Cabbage, mushrooms and whatever looks green.
3. Gather your raw food. My rule of thumb is always, I mean always have a crab going in both your soups at all time.
4. Gather some of the cooked food. This part always changes but generally the selection is your typical buffet fare. My favourite are the wagyu stew which they have going sometimes.
5. Start eating! Remember crab in both soups at all times! From here on out enjoy the delicious roller-coaster. Of note sometimes the chilli soup has quite alot of oil in it. What I do is scoop the top layer off and use the top layer as an extra fourth sauce i.e the chilli oil.
6. If you are eating the evening shift (starting from 8pm) then remember at approximately 9pm you should be grabbing your anticipated desserts. They often run out of the best ones especially the crispy delicous and hot egg tarts. Leave them on the side as you continue to feast on crab, prawns, shellfish beef, pork, eggs, veges etc etc.
7. Just when you are about 90 percent full taste your glorious soup. By now if you have done this correctly you should have gone through at least 5 whole crabs (more if you are a larger person of course). The soup will be a super complex seafood and meat flavour. My partner has tried exclusively putting crab into the soup which makes a very clean seafood taste (generally reserve this for advanced eaters here though cause you want to try everything)
8. Add instant noodles to said soup. During this phase I often start to mix my chilli and tomato soups together. Their instant noodles take quite a while to cook for some reason but dain. Dainnnnn. Best instant noodles you will ever have. So much flavour and deliciousness. You will think about this daily if you have done the above steps correctly.
9. Have some fruits to freshen the palate
10. Go home with a full stomach. Remember do not eat too much or else you could vomit. I have seen it first hand.
Also sorry no photo. I am normally in too much of a rush to enjoy and forget to take it. Will try and rememeber next time and update review
Nice plan for both hotpot and normally dishes. I been there for friend’s baby birthday and many times for hotpot buffet. Really nice staffs and friendly changed the plates, clean tables. Fresh sea food and meat. Not bad!
Pricing for lunch is great for a buffet-style hot pot. The soup bases are well-flavoured, and they have a wide selection of meats. Desserts are also varied. Service is acceptable - probably the only downside being that requests take a while to be fulfilled (asked for water and it took near 10 minutes), and waiters weren't exactly cheerful. Would definitely come back many times for the value (especially for the mutton).
When it comes to hot pot, my go to place is Dainty Sichuan in the city. But after seeing some impressive photos and hearing some good reviews of this place, we decided to give it a shot.
We came here for dinner on a weekday and made a booking as was recommended. For all you can eat hot pot on a weekday, it's around $42 per person. Despite what some others have said, we were quite happy with the price consideri g we would usually spend a similar amount at Dainty aways.
After being shown to our seats we were asked to select which 2 soup we wanted straight away.
I opt for the spicy one and the mushroom and my companion, the mushroom and the 'special' (I think that's the right name..). Unfortunately, my companion said the two soups were indistinguishable in flavor. I quite liked the spicy as it wasnt as hot as ones that I have had in the past but I agreed with my companion that the other soups were nothing special.
The buffet are was smaller than I expected and quite small in comparison to the seating areas of resturant. I can imagine getting your ingredients could end up being a battle on busy days.
I don't usually order seafood options at othe hot pot places and was excited to try the seafood options here. They had a pretty okay mix of fish pieces and a few shell fish. It's not a lot but it's enough for the amount you pay. In terms of the seafood, we were most impressed with the crab halves as it had a lot more meat than we expected and the taste was great too.
Meats on offer lamb, chicken, pork and beef with marinated and non marinated options. The lamb and beef were great but we found the pork a little tough. We also found that that are down point to providing bot non marinated and marinated meats, is that it is difficult to prevent the thongs being mixed up. Unfortunately, all the thongs were covered in marinade which sucks for people like us who prefer the non marinated meats. This also applies to vegetables as other customers have used the same thongs to grab meats and vegetables.
Something to consider if you are one to be disturbed by this before deciding to come here.
Having said this though, the place has a great selection of sauce options and other non hot pot food options available that are included in the buffet price. This includes some fruit and miniature sized cakes and tarts for dessert. Their meat, seafood, vegetable and other hot pot items are adequate and I was curious to see what is on offer on a busier day such as the weekend.
Trying to get the waiters attention can be a bit of a struggle as they arent that many on. This also means that your soup won't be refilled that often and you end up having to call them over for it which we never (ever..) have had to do at Dainty Sichuan.
But we did leave completely stuffed and agreed that on days that you are wanting to binge on hot pot, this would be a good option but if you are looking for quality and taste, then other places maybe more suited to you.
Came here for my wife’s birthday as XJ is closed around this time of year.
A little bit pricier than what we usually pay but there is a lot more variety.
They are always refilling and preparing food which is nice, lots of sauce varieties, seafoods, meats and some deserts.
Would come back.
Hands down my favourite place for all you can eat hot pot. While it is a bit pricey, it delivers a good range and quality choices.
Let's start with the basics. They'll ask you to choose your own mini hot pot soup. I always choose two soups, and my favourite being the mushroom and chilli soups.
For dipping sauce you're offered a huge table of sauces and added ingredients including mushroom sauce, chilli sauce, peanuts, sesame etc. The possibilities are endless.
Then there's the hot pot ingredients. There's plenty of meats, veggies, noodles and fish balls to go around. A let down is the lack of variety in fish all, but the range in general makes up for it.
I am a huge fan of starting a sichuan meal with some cold dishes and House of Delight offer dishes such as smashed cucumber and chilli chicken. If you're a fan of hot dishes too, they offer that as well as dessert and fruit for your sweet tooth.
Lunch is a bit cheaper than Dinner but essentially they offer the same thing. For around $30 pp, lunch is pretty worthwhile. If you insist on dinner, it's about 50.
Still, it's definitely one of my favorite hotpot places and would be going back for sure.
This was my first hot pot experience. I loved it! Buffet style with wide selection of meats including beef, lamb, chicken and seafood (prawns, squid, mussels etc. Mushrooms, vegetables, instant noodles and regular dried noodles.
Cooking your raw ingredients in 1 of your 2 selected broths was a tasty and fun experience.
Once finished make sure you drink the broth which has the combined flavors of everything you cooked.
There was some cooked dishes but these were cold as they arnt as popular.
Variety of foods from left to right,
Seafood, meat, desserts and sauces in sight,
Happy customers indulge upon each bite,
Friendly staff working from day to night,
A modern ambiance and hotpots set alight,
It's a cosy buffet at the House of Delight.
nice staff and very nice food. Came here on a weekday and it was not crowded. Food was fresh and delicious. I would recommend this for very good value.
Currently my favourite Hot Pot restaurant in Melbourne. I try to visit House of Delight once a month to stuff my face in delicious hot pot meats 😍
👍🏼 The sauce bar has everything you can ask for, enjoy your hotpot with your own customisable sauce. There is a wide range of seafood, sliced meats, vegetables and even readily cooked hot food.
👎🏼 My only criticism is that there is a lack of fish balls. Paying $43.80 for dinner, i would hope that they can add a larger range of assorted fish balls that i can enjoy at cheaper hot pot restaurants.
Overall, my favourite hot pot restaurant and would definitely recommend to people.
It has been a while since we had hotpot, so we made the best out of Melbourne’s erratic weather and turned it into an excuse to come here that chilly day.
Greeted and promptly ushered to our seats, our eyes were immediately drawn to the array of buffet selections as we walked to our table. Once seated, we selected our individual soup bases then proceeded to help ourselves to the unlimited buffet stand.
Apart from the hotpot selections, there were also ready cooked options available such as pan fried dumplings, stir fried vegetables, cumin pork ribs, Sichuan chilli prawns, etc as well as desserts.
At $25.80 per head for the hotpot lunch buffet, there was a decent selection of meat, vegetables and seafood with soup bases that were sufficiently tasty. The ready cooked options also averaged out well and we appreciate the copious variety of dipping sauces available.
In-house made or not, the desserts caught my eye from the moment I walked in. Perhaps it was the presentation or the dainty sizes that attracted me, but they all tasted good, and neither were overly sweet nor heavy.
The service here was one of the better all-you-can-eat buffet style hotpot places we have been to. It was polite and attentive. Our soup levels were constantly checked on and topped up as needed whilst any empty plates were cleared off pretty much as soon as they surfaced.
By the end of lunch, we were so full that we practically waddled our way out.
Been here six times already, good place with fresh food. Always have a long queue, better pre-book. Good service under such a fast paced pressure. Will return again.
What a delight indeed--this is my favourite hotpot place. Ticks all the right boxes for me:
- Big restaurant
- individual pots
- good variety of soup bases (choice of two per person)
- condiment station
- all-you-can-eat buffet
- Excellent variety of hotpot food and non-hotpot food
- quality of food is great for what you'd expect from this sort of place
- Price is good for what it is considering seafood is included in the buffet
- attentive waitstaff
All my experiences here have been great, and everyone who i know who has been here has been an instant convert--including those who weren't hotpotters beforehand. I must give special mention to the durian puffs here. Durian lovers will be pleasantly surprised at how good they are, assuming you catch them when they come out fresh.
The food is good but too less choice and also the price is a little bit expensive. Btw The service is really good. Good to be here. Will be back again
Authentic hotpot!! One of the best hotpot place in Melbourne. Various choices not only for food but also sauces! Service is good. The buffet worths the money you pay. I would recommend the dinner one if you'd like more choices for seafood. But I just think seafood is not the best match for hotpot... I've been here twice and will come again when I feel like it's time for a hotpot!!
The price is cheap for buffet at lunch around Melbourne. I was surprised they offer lots of food outside the hot pot ingredients. Such as snack, desert, and appetizers. Even with soups and dumplings.
This place was recommended to me by my cousin who absolutely loves it so I took the family here for lunch. I was quite surprised at the price difference between lunch and dinner. $42.80 for dinner and $24.80 for lunch. What a difference. No wonder it gets busy during lunch.
But my cousin mentioned that there's a bit more variety during dinner hours compared to lunch, so that's probably why there's such a big gap in price.
The layout is like a buffet style where you go get your food, bring it back to your table and then cook/eat it. Quite like this concept because you can decide on how much of each dish you want. The soup options were pretty good. They had a large section of hot/cooked foods. The hot pot section was limited but that didn't stop me from stuffing my face. They had a large sauce condiments section. Really tidy place. It does get crowded since everyone moves back and forth for food. Service is good and prompt. Definetly book before you come though!! I'd be happy to come again during lunch time because it's pretty good for an all you can eat place for $25!
Clean and organized. They have so many choices of the soup and that is what I really like. Food is fresh and the deserts are also nice. Better book before you come.
After hearing many positive reviews of this new joint in Glen Waverley, my fiance and I decided to give this place a go by booking my fiance's dad's birthday dinner here. So, I called House of Delight via Zomato and they took my reservation which was about 7 days in advanced.
Then, we all rocked up for our reservation booking - To our dismay, the lady in charge of bookings couldn't find my name or mobile no on her booking list. This is the most confusing part: I showed her my call log of calling them to make a booking and their business number listed on Zomato but she said it was the WRONG NUMBER. Then, why on earth did that number took my booking?! It really was the strangest thing. Anyway, she could tell I was visibly quite upset and since it was a birthday dinner, she was kind enough to accommodate us and gave us a table to fit 6 people.
Each adult was charged about $42.80 for an unlimited buffet! The concept is each person is provided with their individual mini hotpot to cook any items of their liking. There is a wide diversity of hot food and chilled side dishes (think chicken feet and marinated meat); of course the widest range is the hotpot food range - think all types of meat (lamb, beef, chicken), seafood (prawns, crabs, museels, razor clams etc), carbohydrates (noodles) and vegetables (lotus roots, chrysanthemum leaves, coriander etc). For $42.80, everyone is given the choice to choose their own soup base or a mix of both - tomato soup, tasty soup (original flavour), mushroom soup, green pepper soup and sichuan soup. I had both the tasty soup and sichuan soup, they were topped up regularly and packed a strong punch; I like it!
Once we finished all savoury dishes, we proceeded to the dessert section which included warm asian desserts (purple porridge and white fungus longan soup) and a couple of petite fours. We all enjoyed ourselves and can see ourselves coming back very soon again, highly recommended!
Been here with friends a couple of times. Usually quite busy so you need to make booking otherwise waiting can be up to 40 mins. If you are looking for a fine dining quiet place to talk then this is not a place to go as it can get noisy and crowded at times. However, if you want wide variety of meats, vegie, cold and hot dishes and deserts and good service definitely give this place a try.
This place never let u disappointed.we have been there many and many times.but recently too busy, never can get a seat without booking.same time cutting down the verity of sauce like mushroom sauce, even no corridor.plz keep the standard like before.
Came here with a big group of colleagues. There’re quite a variety of food available and we were able to choose what we wanted to eat, without having to consider others’ preference (since everyone has their own little pot). The food and drinks were lovely, desserts were amazing too! (They are all in small bite size, so I get to try many different kinds of dessert). Will definitely be back:)
Great place with wonderful service! The food was fresh and tasty, restaurant is pretty and quiet, perfect for dates and gathering. The waitress is sooo sweet and brings lots of desserts after we can't find any of them left cause it's close to close time. And those desserts are extremely delicious and I will definitely go back here with more friends.
We had a work dinner and had a booking for 11 people. Two people couldn't make it on the night so we ended with 9 people. They originally had us on two separate tables of 6, but were happy to move us on to a big round table.
Quite a variety of foods were available - from all sorts of greens to the usual beef and lamb, and also crabs and razor clams. I find their menu of foods changes slightly between visits. There wasnt crab the first time i went, but there were liver (my fav), but liver wasn't there this visit.
If new to Sichuan food, i recommend not getting the spicy hot pot soup base. It may not be what you think it is. Instead, mix in some chilli into your dipping sauce from the sauce table. Otherwise, mushroom and tomato soup bases are good.
Kitchen closes at 9:45pm, so they dont allow you to get more food after that. Make sure you get the desserts before 9:30 or earlier as they wont refill if after this. The cakes are pretty good for buffet standards.
They have such a good selection of meats and seafood. The original hot pot p is lovely and the mushroom soup is something to talk about. Def make a booking as they are quite busy.
Went with the intention of ordering a la carte but got roped into buffet (not meant in a good or bad way). I had the chilli oil and tomato soup bases which were aight, but preferred the "tasty" soup and congee bases. Hot pot selection and cooked food/dessert selections were pretty good. Seafood selection was also pretty good for the $42ish. Would go again 9/10
Buffet styled hotpot. Make sure you book as this place gets packed. I can see why though. It’s not the cheapest around but the quality makes it different. Plenty of options available and friendly & fast service.
The variety in this place is good. Well balanced with pre-cooked food and raw food for the hot pot. Service was also excellent with many wait staffs and being attentive. They were quick with our request and clean up instantly when some food fell to the floor or food serving area.
If you need a mix of spicy or savoury food with lots of choices, this place suits most dietary requirements.
Overall, its a good place for buffet and a person with a huge appetite. Price is reasonable with the quality of food they have on display. I give this place a Happy Tomato.
Quite pleased with the variety of meat, fish and seafood options at this restaurant. Hits the spot when you need to warm the soul with heaps of food !
For an all you can eat hotpot this place is pretty good. It is buffet style which I love and the selection of food is quite extensive . They have a selection of also hot foods such as wings, dim sum, desserts etc too. The soup base was tasty but had alot of MSG that I felt extremely thirsty afterwards.
Came here on a Sunday night without a booking and were lucky to get a table. I was surprised at how busy the restaurant was. For $43, you can choose up to two soup bases in an individual pot. I chose the tomato and spicy. The tomato is really nice but begins to lack flavour after the second top up (they top up with the plain broth and not flavoured). I rate the variety of cooked entrees and desserts available, however I felt like there could've been a better variety of food. Service was pretty good, didn't encounter any rude staff although they could've been abit more attentive to the table. Overall a good experience and would return.
We ordered our hot pot stocks after being seated. Most opted for green pepper and spicy. I opted for tasty and mushroom. (Note: I was the only one enjoying my broth and not dying from chilli burn). Overall consensus was that the broth was pretty ordinary. Fortunately there was an array of sauces and ingredients that could be added to enhance the flavour to your liking.
Some hot pot items included: mussels, prawns, chicken, beef, lamb, potatoes, boy choy, fish balls, crab sticks, fried tofu, tofu skins, enoki mushrooms, shitake mushrooms. For the price I think that's a sufficient assortment of hot pot items. Can't ask for an extensive range unless you're willing to pay top dollar.
Some hot food included: mapo tofu, fried fish, mee goreng, wood ear mushroom stirfry, spring rolls, fried chicken, spinach pork pancakes, fried prawns. Most of the dishes were pretty salty. There was no standout dish.
Some desserts included: carrot cake, cupcakes, sponge, cookies, scones, watermelon, rockmelon, oranges, a couple of hot Chinese dessert soups.
The waiters were attentive and easily accessible. We got frequent top ups of stock without needing to ask.
For the lunch price I would definitely come back. Highly recommended booking. Surcharge of 1% for card payments. Family and pram friendly.
Went to house of delight a few weeks back. Didn’t book so unsure if we would be seated. Lucky for us seated quickly. Staff very fri madly food was plentiful and tasty and lots of sweet options
Another hotpot opening in the area! This is buffet style - collect your own food - also cooked foods available (cold starters, steamed buns, cooked meats etc.) to break it up. Good variety of sauces/condiments as expected with any hotpot place nowadays. Smaller selection of raw foods than Shuang Chong Xi Qing downstairs (price difference of course). Friendly service. Good fun.
Went here with relatives for my Dad's birthday. They have some variety of food to choose from, however more labels would be great as we would know what is inside them. As it was my first time, there was spicy chicken and it wasn't labelled and I was about to feed our one year old son but luckily my Dad who have been there before told me it was spicy and not to give to our son. Other than that, the hotpot was easy to use, food was good but nothing outstanding to rave about.
This has to be one of my favourite places hands down.
The price is very reasonable, the customer service is impeccable and the food is fresh.
A must try.
Came here for lunch and paid $25 dollars, there wasn’t a wide selection of foods, but it was worth the amount paid. The tasty broth was my favorite. The vegetables, meat and seafood was quite fresh. The service was nice and quick. I tried the carrot cake and it was still frozen.
Eat, drink and eat some more. This all you can eat hot pot, and desserts, will leave you needing help to be carried out. Nice setting and decent choices of ingredients to throw in your very own pot. It’s safe for kids as it’s not running off a naked flame and pricing isn’t too bad either.
Haven't been to a Chinese hotpot buffet with such good customer service and spacious sitting area in Melbourne for long time.
Other than the raw food for hot pot, their cooked side dishes are delicious and fresh!!! The sweet potato ball is a must try dish.
Very friendly and bright staff, will definitely go again!
Expect a comprehensive meal. Hotpot buffet was around $40 each and we got a free jug of plum juice. To begin, snack on some ready-made items like egg tarts, steam buns, bean curd noodles, scampi prawns in XO sauce and mussels. Once that’s done, go up and get your sauce/seasonings. They are key to this experience. For the broth, they give you a good base, but it if isn’t to your liking, try to add things like chilli sauce for heat, garlic for flavour and depth, salt or MSG (yes, they have it up there) for taste. Then you make your dipping sauces. Personally, I like my sauce chunky and full of texture. So lots of spring onion, coriander and that wonderful mushroom paste for me. I was told the sesame sauce was very tasty so I might give that a go next time. There is plenty of protein to choose from such as sliced beef, lamb, pork and chicken. You might even try pig’s blood or tripe. Seafood is also abundant, but a word of warning: don’t waste your time with crab and mantis shrimp as there’s no meat in them. Then there are other side ingredients to complete your meal like mushrooms, tofu, lotus root and Chinese cabbage. The desserts are quite tasty so make sure you leave enough room for them as well. Overall, a positive experience.
Quite nice and new Decos inside, love their dinnerset. Happens to be the same crews running it a the one next To Glen plaza, only down side was there was not a lot meal selections at lunch time .
Went for the first time last night. I liked how everyone got their own individual hot pot and you could easily adjust the temperature settings. The manager was super friendly and the staff were very attentive. Loved the assortment of seafood. The mini desserts were super cute too. I’ll be back!
Had lunch with a bunch of friends for $25 pp and it was a pretty good experience! It had a nice variety of foods to choose from and the soup was consistently topped up. I had half tasty and half spicy soup base. The tasty soup base was lacking in flavour just a bit but the spicy was perfect for me. The star food item for me was the steamed egg custard buns tho. I just love steamed buns lol. I'll be coming back!
Been here twice thus far and quite like it.
Not bad a place for hot pot. Friendly and polite service despite being super busy all the time.
A choice of a variety of soup bases to choose from (up to two per pot). Hot food and uncooked food available. Servings are relatively clean for a Chinese hot pot place.
My favourite soup base is tomato (sweet). Mushroom and the spicy soup base are also not bad.
Hot food is suitable for kids if you bring them along. Plenty of seafood to choose from ranging from fish, prawns, crab and variety of shell fish.
Drinks selection is also good, ranging from beer to sour plum drink.
Two seatings available so booking is almost essential. Extremely busy on weekends. Weekdays food variety is just as good!
Many options for hotpot, including sauces. The hot food was really good too. Desserts were also good quality. Customer service 🖒. Would recommend.
One of our family favourite for hot pot buffet. Unlike many typical hot pot places where you have to order off a menu, a wide selection of both cooked and raw ingredients is ready at the bar. This means no struggling to get the waiters attention and no wait time.
Weekday prices are $25 which is great value. The hot food alone is worth this price.
Restaurant is clean, well staffed and the managers are accommodating. Very baby/kids friendly and spacious.
Its a hot pot buffet and only 38.8 pp, plus a free jar of drink, so It's really worthy this price, a lot of choice to choose and it's fresh, so it's best for both friends meeting or dinner with families
We decided to visit this place on an especially cold afternoon. On arrival, we were given several choices of soup bases. This included chicken, tomato, mushroom, sichuan spicy and green peppers. I opted for mushroom and sichuan spicy. The things I value most about hot pot restaurants are hygiene and individual pots. This restaurant definitely ticked the boxes. As with most buffet places, there was a wide range of meats and seafoods. There were also cooked meals such as springrolls and stirfrys. Service was friendly and efficient. There was constant topping up for soup stock. As a note, if you pay with card, there's a 1% surcharge. I would definitely return.
Was expecting a very nice hotpot place but was sadly let down due to lack of flavour in soup base and the meats were very bland. Customer service was only good until you reached your seat and then they never seem to be there when you need your pot refilled with stock. For $38 your better off going to XJ's hotpot around the corner. Won't be coming back anytime soon thats for sure.
Great new place with excellent variety and quality for a hot pot buffet. Really fresh ingredients. Hot food and desserts were also delicious.
Great value if you want to have both buffet and hotpot at 1 place. They have great selection for both hotpot section and hot food. Dont miss out on their crawfish or scampi too! Oh, did I forget to mention that they have good selection of dessert too?
I would give it 5star if i didn’t have the tomyum soup. Everything was perfect with their prices. The manager was really nice and friendly which make the whole experience great in overall.
This place has varied of dipping sauces that you can imagine. Good amount of side dishes and stuff that you can put in your pot.
For the hot pot itself, you can choose two flavors of soup to have. I had mushroom and tomyam soup and was recommended by them but it tasted like instant tomyam powder soup that you can find from instant noodles. (No offense)
My friend had a hot and spicy soup and it was really tasty. Would recommend this soup though 👍
Cheap and spacious space. Better grab your fruits from the shelf before the closing time as they won’t refill it for you :)
Great selection of ingredients and a ridiculous amount of sauces. Surprised to see they had a dessert bar as well though no ice cream...
Individual hotpot is nice with two different flavours. Highly recommend this place for catching up with you family and friends. There are frozen seafood and beef, lamb, pork as well as lots of veggies. Also there are cooked hot food as well as dessert with a sauce station. Not so friendly but they fill up the soup when you need it. From the first visit till now it may have reduced the quality but it is still good and nice hot pot feeling.
The customer service was excellent.
Try to come after 8.15pm to avoid traffic either in the restaurant or parking spot.
The foods were amazing, ton of space to sit and to place the plates.
You are able to choose 2 flavour of soups and free water
Drink will be charge on top if you do order.
As the place was crowded, i could only took a few picture but there are more foods and dessert to be served.
The food is being top up frequently and they will clean your plate straight away. You will have many clean warm new plates under the food table.
The place was neat and cleanliness. Definitely will come back.
1-2% charge on card
An eat all you can Hotpot in Glen Waverley. Glad i found this one. Reasonable price, fresh vegies and meat. And heaps of choices. Different kinds of sauces to make. Good service. Staff are very attentive. Car park is not a problem.
My first experience with a hot pot buffet. Great atmosphere and great selection of food. The green pepper soup is awesome. The waiter looking after our table was a lovely gentleman that I believe his name was bang. Will definitely come back and bring friends.
