Family treat (whole chicken, Greek salad, family chips) and family dinner (whole chicken, coleslaw replacing 8 potatoes, peas and gravy).
The chicken was succulent, skin was to die for and the stuffing is about 200% better than that of supermarket roast chicken.
Chips are seasoned perfectly, not the crispiest but still good.
Salads were standard - Greek had a decent amount of feta, tomato and olives. The coleslaw was lighter in flavour than other joints, but it did make me feel as though it was less sugar and mayo-filled than a typical fast food joint. This was a plus given the fatty and juicy chicken which needed a bit of contrast from lighter salads.
The lady running this joint is incredibly genial and accommodating to modifying orders, service speed at 7:15PM was not slow or fast, just reasonable, but I will say that prices are great for the serving sizes! The family chip sizing is huge, and they really fill large salad containers to the brim, with the plastic lid almost bursting open.
Fresh hot chips always and quality of food is always great.
Very good value meal deals and friendly owners. Recommend parking opposite close to Dan Murphy and walking over.
Came by here to grab some take away chips to go, this place has been situated here for many years. The chips were quite crunchy and very indulging.
Lovely people!! Always had good service and food. They serve really quick too, I got my rice in 5 minutes and it’s a huge portion, yet made to order. Lovely lovely lovely. Nothing but good words and thumbs up for them!!
Special fried rice is my personal fav and it’s probs the best in the neighborhood! My second fav would be the kway teow 😊
Wow! After a tired day of work, i decided to go to this charcoal chicken. The chicken was tender and juicy and seasoned to perfection. The chips were salted to my standards. This is the best charcoal chicken i know, i drive pass many charcoal chickens just to come to this one.

I love the chips here! Super golden and crunchy, and well seasoned. I've only ever had one experience where they add toouch salt. Every other time, it's been perfect. I think the best thing about them is that you get a lot for what you pay for - other restaurants can't compare to its prices and quality.
I've also had their burgers, again a great decent amount for what you pay for. The schnitzel in their burgers are huge!
best chips in Glen Waverley. Super crunchy has just the right amount of seasoning, not too oily and big portioned for its price . The lady that works there is very friendly.
Have to agree with MBA Food that the place went down hill after George left, but the chicken and chips are still reasonable.
Good chicken. The chicken here is good. Crispy skin, flavourful and tender. Reasonable price and very quick service. This place sells one of the better roast chickens I have tried and I have tried many.
Delicious!. Went there to grab dinner tonight and it was super busy! The service was quite speedy and very polite. The chicken was moist and chips nicely salted. Will definitely be going back there, loved it!
