Review Gotham Grill And Rooftop Bar - Gold Coast

Our first time and it was an absolute delight from the greeting at the front door to the fabulous service from the moment we arrived at our table. The wine list was amazing and the food was absolutely sensational as we took our daughter and son there and they love food and our daughter is an amazing cook, my husband said the oysters are the best he has ever eaten. Well done to the Owners and the staff we had an amazing night and can’t wait to try the bar and the more relaxed atmosphere upstairs but we will be back as it was an amazing evening with wonderful fresh and flavour some food.

My partner and I had been really looking forward to experiencing Gotham for a diner. Intriguing exterior that entices you to want to see what is inside. As you enter the building the foyer continues to intrigue with not much but 2 red phones that are for level.1 'the Grill'and level.2 the rooftop bar (we picked up the rooftop bar phone but after awhile I hung up because gotham must have bad reception.) We strolled upstairs and was greated by a smiling happy wait staff who explained the optins of grill restaurant or rooftop bar and dining. We elected for the rooftop. We ordered a few drinks and a meal to share; Gotham city pizza $22 and the popcorn chicken $18. We also ordered the grilled prawns but after 10min our waitress came back out to let us know they ran out of prawns the night before and she had forgot. The meals and drinks all came out in a timely manner. The pizza: Exactly what you expect from a good quality pizzeria, we both felt the pizza was delicious and great value for money, very cheese and a bit oily because of the cheese but none the less very good taste. The popcorn chicken: If you take away the sauce the taste is similar to kfc as in if I went back and ordered it again and they swapped it for kfc pocorn chicken and added their sauce then I wouldn't even know the different and that is the problem: $18 for a small (for want of a better word) basic popcorn chicken that the colonel makes almost better unfortunatly isn't worth $18 even when consumed with a good view from the rooftop. Mentions. Parking is under the building but only limited availabilities. Plenty of street parking within short walking distance. Disability access is available in form of a lift and designed parking area. Don't be fooled the paper menu and ipad are both the same you cannot order from the ipad. Not sure why they give you both. Online booking is available. My opinions of GOTHAM ROOFTOP The venue: 4/5 star The staff: 4/5 star The food: 3/5 star The location: 3/5 The outlook: 3/5 Value for money 3/5 Overall: 3/5 I would recommend trying the roofto to judge for yourself. Lovely friendly staff nd a good clean modern casual dining and rooftop bar. perfect for a sunday session or even a caual business meeting lunch or dinner. I am looking forward to coming back to experience the Gotham Grill I have heard great things.

First place I've found top grade Wagyu steak. Food was excellent. Loved the decor. And our server Emylee was fantastic.

Had a delightful dinner. Service was excellent and enjoyed the setting. Our table ordered a combination of main meals and 1 steak. While steak was delicious (5/5) they don’t really come with anything so paying $30-45 for a piece of meat is a little pricey when you have to order 2 sides for one person if you want potato and a veg (it’s a $60 main). The rooftop is lovely and I would definitely go back again to hang out there.

Very nice atmosphere at the Rooftop Bar, friendly staff, everyone smiling ☺ and everyone was very welcoming. Waiter was fast and professional with the charming smile and waitress was nice too. Drinks was really good quality and tasty. Design of the place is very unique and we liked it a lot. Music was also very nice and make us feel very comfortable and relaxed. We didn't order any food, because it was our first visit just to have couple of drinks and to check the place, but definitely will be back for dinner soon. I would recommend this place to my friends and everyone else who would like relaxing atmosphere with an ocean view.

The food here was absolutely amazing. It is on the expensive side, but felt very worth it. The salmon was delicious, the steak actually melted in my mouth, and the lobster tail was excellent. My partner and I were way too full to try desserts, but it is on the list for next time. The service was nice, we went on a weeknight and it was very quiet. I must note - I have only been to the restaurant dining part, not the rooftop bar. However, there were still many drinks on offer in this part. We had a great experience and can’t wait to go back.

One of the best meals I've had on the coast to date! Amazing food, ambiance and staff. Made for a beautiful evening, and I will definitely be a regular back here (& might stop missing Melbourne's gastronomic delights)!

We enjoyed a lovely dinner at Gotham Grill and Rooftop Bar tonight, dining in the restaurant. Mum enjoyed the Lamb special which was deliciously tender and accompanied by a beautiful potato salad. My porterhouse steak was cooked perfectly, I ordered the potato gratin as a side which was a great choice. My daughter loved her tasty fish and chips. Ambiance was lovely with lighting dimmed around 6:30pm, the Gotham theming tasteful and fun. The attention to detail throughout the design was really great. Service was attentive and friendly, both team members looking after our table were excellent. Overall we really enjoyed our evening and when back up from Melbourne next time we will make a point of returning. Highly recommended.

We had our wedding anniversary here but found it to be quite average & we love the Little Truffle restaurant. I would suggest some shared entrees & a chicken main as some new additions to the menu. A set menu option would also be nice as the menu is pricey, steaks are anywhere from $32 - $120, a dozen oysters $40. Overall we were disappointed.

Spent the afternoon at The Rooftop Bar . Food was top notch ! We had the cheese platters . Both great with a large selection of goodies . Ended up staying for dinner and having the burgers . Everyone loved them ! Even the shoestring fries were delicious with spicy aioli. Going back soon to enjoy the Sunday afternoon music and great views !

We went with for our wedding anniversary table for four great service given by a lovely young lady, on her first night. All of us enjoyed every dish presented and the complimentary dessert was “yummy” Thank to Shane and all his staff your great for the top end of the coast . �cheers

Had our wedding anniversary and my wifes birthday there...i felt it missed the mark with the food...the menu stated it had gluten free options my wife ordered spaghetti and meatballs but the balls were gluten free but the pasta wasnt... had the 20$ burger and friez...if im being honest ive had better at MacDonalds...just not what i expected of something of that calibre of restaurant...very pleasant staff and nice surroundings etc...dont think well be going back any time soon so guys it missed the mark with us

Great venue finally on the Northern GC. Thank you very much for making our Anniversary dinner so relaxed and enjoyable. Cale & Renee provided 5 star service which topped off our night along with the 5 star quality food. My wife is Gluten Free and there were plenty of options and they were very happy to assist where they could to ensure she didn’t miss out. Lobster Mayonnaise was amazing, fresh tiger prawns and my wife’s Scallops were cooked perfectly and very tasty. And the bacon that went with them. Wow. Both our mains were cooked to perfection. I had the 300g Porterhouse and my wife had the Duck. This was our 1st time at Gotham Grill & rooftop and we will be back for sure. Great atmosphere in both the Grill & on the Rooftop for dessert and one of their newly created Mulled Wines. The mulled wine was a hit with my wife. The best she has have ever had according to her! Thanks again for a great night Cale, Renee & Gotham Team. Looking forward to trying the rooftop menu and a Sunday session as you also have my favourite Bourbon Woodford Reserve!!

Gourmet food, great service and nice atmosphere. We have been here a few times already and it’s consistently good. They are children friendly in the restaurant area especially during weekdays, great value kids meals. This is the restaurant we have been waiting on the north end of the coast! Highly recommend it !

Could not fault it! Venue including the theme and view was amazing. Service as well as the food and drinks were on point. We will definitely be back! Loved it!

We had a great night - Excellent attentive service, delicous mains ( pork , 450g rib eye on bone , scotch fillet and duck ) ....stayed for a sweet treat and coffee . Will definatley go back .

Was excited to try this new spot- myself and my partner tried the rooftop bar. Drink prices seem to be fair entree meat board was good- bread was not toasted and crunchy which was disappointing. Mains we ordered eye fillet medium and pork ribs/ Steak was well cooked but had no flavour and the sauce was flat and boring. Pork ribs where dry and not really hot which was disappointing I could not even eat them, Salad for both mains was extremely boring and tasteless and had no substance. Chips overly salty! Come on guys you want to charge the money come up with the goods! I have had better feeds at a pub

I organised my partners surprise 30th birthday at Gotham on Friday night. We had a blast ! The staff were so accommodating and helped us with the surprise by letting us use the lift. Great venue, great atmosphere and friendly staff. I was pretty nervous after reading some reviews from my friends, but Gotham must have picked up their game because our experience was excellent. Thanks for a great night guys !

Went last night for dinner and drinks in the grill and on the rooftop bar. Could not fault the venue at all. Service was nothing short of amazing, food was beautiful, price was great, upstairs bar just topped the night off. Hidden gem on the Gold Coast, I will most certainly be back!
