This unassuming restaurant is good food.
You wouldn't pick it but the home made dim sims are delicious. Satay is good and the food is cheap. If you're after no frills service with good old fashioned Asian food this is the place
I am Chinese Malay and it is near impossible to find good Malaysian food on the Gold Coast. Ipoh town- the sister restaurant to fast wok never fails to impress. The food is fast, fresh, tasty, as close to traditional as you can get and great serving sizes. All the staff are so lovely. Couldn't recommend enough. Setting is not aimed at the dine in clientele but nonetheless the food is amazing!
Excellent food, quick and friendly service. Ordered a number of dishes and they came out super fast and were very fresh and tasty. It's just like being back in Malaysia.
Cheap lunch specials are found! It is a restsurant fushioned with Chinese cuisines as well as dishes from Ipoh. The owner is from Malaysia himself. His brother opened Fast Wok at Q super centre so if you like fast wok, you'll defs like ipoh town. I personally like the food at ipoh town better but i also enjoy the envirpnment at fast wok. Hard decision. But food wise at ipoh town, i love all their lunch specials, my top fav dish would be the fried tofu and hainan chicken rice
Ipoh Town is the sister company of Fast Wok @ Q super centre. The menus are identical and are consistently cooked to perfection. I used to go there for Laksa only but over five years have tried many other dishes on the lunch menu. Faves are Chicken noodle soup or the duck soup and the jellyfish dish is second to none. Everyone i take there isn't game to try it until they see it come out for me. Basically shredded chicken and veg on noodle with little bits of jelly fish for texture and perfect amount of spice with a side of cabbage soup. Salivate just thinking of it. My partner being cantonese tries all the other dishes that i don't and we have never once had a bad meal from either of the shops. Crazy if you don't try it !!
I think i found another little takeaway gem! This is solely a review on takeaway. Not dine in. Shop is more suited to takeaway. We ordered roti canai with kari chicken. Satay chicken and a large rice. All this for about $30. Not bad. Meals were full to the brim in the containes and both meals were very delicious. Theres a very large range of dishes to choose from and this will definately cause an issue for our next order and what to get. But on our first experience, all our food was delicious. On-time and reasonably priced so i scored them well. Will order again soon and have a follow up review. Fat out!
The food is great at this place! We ordered combination Laksa and ipoh keow teow. Both dishes are lovely and tasty. the restaurant is Right next to M1 and its definitely worth stopping by for a nice quick meal. Will definitely come back if we get a chance.

I am a first time customer, I ordered the Chicken and Cashew nut, Honey Chicken and Chicken and sweet corn soup with Chinese fried rice. Start with the Chicken and Cashew nut dish it was full of flavour plenty of veggies and the Chicken was nice and soft as it should be in that type of dish. The Honey Chicken was amazing and was by far the best I have had from any restaurant that serves this dish🤟. The Chinese fried rice was beautiful with good flavour. Chicken and sweet corn soup was perfect and hit the spot. All the food tasted fresh and was cooked perfect, I will be back for sure 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Classic cheap & cheerful style eats. Very authentic Malay dishes that have deep flavours with quality ingredients. The great tastes and happy staff makes you feel like you're in an overseas restaurant
Don't judge a book by its cover. What they lack in aesthetics, they make up for in food quality. I was recommended this place by a Malaysian friend, that's when you know it's going to be good. MY go-to is the satay chicken, AMAZING!
