Bought the vegan sushi platter for Christmas and it was one of the nicest platters I’ve ever bought! The sushi was super fresh and the different sushi’s were amazing 💖👌🏻💖 will be back to dine in sometime highly recommend for vegans
Sushi is made fresh in front of you, placed on a sushi "train" and travels around the kitchen reaching all tables ready to be picked. The sushi chefs are efficient, multiple dishes are made at once, there are always options to choose from. You can also order directly off a menu if the sushi you desire is not on the train. The price is rather good and take away options are available.
The only thing I would suggest is to either lable the dishes or have a book with photos of the sushi, so people know what they are selecting off the train (especially for those with allergies or dietary requirements).

The Aburi Salmon is excellent, they give you a good serving size and for $3 for two, the price cannot be beaten. The chef went off menu and was creative and made some tempura prawn with aburi salmon which was excellent too. Most items at $3 a plate are excellent value, apart from the aburi scallop, where you only get one, (Genki is cheaper at $5.20 for two) Every Sunday they do a lucky dip, where you can get 10-100% off your meal...we loved this little promo. It's sad, that there were no vibe, Sunday dinner was dead.
I was a little hesitant to visit Sushi Q due to its lack of patronage but was lured by the promise of $3 plates. Good variety and surprisingly fresh! with both hot and cold offerings on the train. Better to visit at lunch time because at dinner it can often be a fair wait due to busy takeaway customers
We have been here too eat now for about 5 times already. Sushi is consistently very good - great service and nice people. The prices are so good too $3 plates - we will definitely be back again!
Went for lunch by myself on Friday. There was only one other diner. Really fresh, interesting sushi @ $3 a plate. Great value. Will come back for sure.
My family of 4 went to Sushi Q last night for dinner. We usually go to the Sushi Train at the Metro (previously the ones on Gouger St and Grenfell St) which was our closest and best sushi. We thought we'd try Sushi Q because it's a short walk from our house, although we were worried that the sushi may not be as fresh as the one at the Metro shopping centre simply because of the smaller turn-over. We need not have worries as we were very happy with the sushi and with the staff. We were able to request sushi that wasn't already on the train - the staff also asked if we'd like anything in particular. We were particularly impressed about things like: washable sushi covers and hand-made cloth drinks coasters. These kinds of environmental touches stood out for us. Also, every plate was $3!!

Lots of variety .... Steak, Avocado & Cucumber, Tuna, Crab, Chicken Teriyaki, Salmon plus Egg. We ended up with 42 pieces ... Bonus.
Everything was really fresh and tasted beautiful. Best sushi I've ever had in fact.
It was my Mum's first taste and she loved it too.

Sushi Q was awesome! I was hesitant to try because it always seems quiet, but i was pleasantly suprised! Super cute and really good sushi! Will definately become a regular
Someone who likes Sushi and Udon. You should come and try those one ;) Tempura Veg Udon or Prawn Udon are amazing!
The food is ok. The price is definitely on the cheaper side for what you get. If you are looking for somewhere a bit cheaper to get a bit of sushi then this is the place. The service definitely doesn't do this place justice. Although the staff are not bad or hostile, they seem a bit disengaged with their roles. I think the atmosphere needs to be a bit more vibrant and it would be a much more enjoyable experience. In saying this I would still go back.
Sushi trains are so much fun. The plates keep circling around and around. Each plate costs $3.50 or less. Each plate has a small amount of sushi. So we get to try a lot of different plates. Not cheap sushi but it's yummy and very well prepared.
Sushi here was quite average in my experience.
This is not a bad thing, but it isn't any better or write than your run off the mill sushi stores around Adelaide.
Service was great, and pricing was reasonable.
Friday lunch, the place was quite empty.
There wasn't to much food on the belt as the resturant was quiet at the time we arrived but that wasn't an issue as we could easily order what we wanted that hasn't been made yet. The background music was just that and didn't interfere with our conversations and the place is well kept. Just wish they had a few more fishes in their wall mounted fish tanks I could stare at while I got bored of the conversation at my table.
Definitely my favourite Sushi place! Great food, great prices. Very clean and quite.
Everything is super fresh and if you ask for something which is not on the train, they make it directly. Even though they're sometimes a bit annoyed by asking haha
Fans of popular anime JoJo's Bizarre Adventure are very... perplexed about its name. I mean, Sushi Q is easily turned into Suzie Q, a character from the second part, Battle Tendency. I would like to visit this place now, I'm quite intrigued.
Sushi train restaurant that offers a nice small collection of sushi. The serving size is on small side, but the pricing reflects that which is good. Friendly staff and clean.
