Review Goulburn Seafood Restaurant - Goulburn

Not eating at this place again, the food was sub par. The lady in the kitchen had no hair net and was gagging half the time while cooking, audible from the dining area. Their mayonnaise was revolting, clumps of dried up sauce in the ramekin...worst seafood restaurant in Goulbourn

Mixed reviews for this restaurant. I found the Deco to be a bit on the dingy side. The prices were a bit high for the atmosphere provided. I ordered takeaway late afternoon. Ordered fish and chips (flathead) with a drink and paid about $30. The fish and chips were advertised as $24. The meal was a bit on the small side, but was as expected. I would have to say though that I had the same meal the day before at a pub which was a larger serve and cheaper. The gentleman that served me was friendly and courteous though.

Positive: Friendly staffs Great Environment Neat and clean Halal options Order review: Ordered meat platter and it was too much oily. Not recommended this meat if you are health conscious. We also order chef’s seafood platter. Awesome taste, though expecting a full crab. Only got half crab. Though we were expecting watermelon salad with the dish but we were served regular salad. The friendly waiter forgot to inform us but they gave me a discount later when I have asked. Overall happy with the shop. Could have been a bit reasonable with the price.

One star is generous. Home delivery and probably the worst meal we’ve ever had with most of it going in the bin. We both had crumbed seafood and one bite of the ‘fish’ was more than enough. Never again

We ordered paella for two and a pumpkin salad. Its appearance was OK. The rice was plentiful but there was a very disappointing amount of seafood hidden in it. The woman who was the waitress was OK. The woman who took our payment (a NSW Dining Voucher) was unfriendly - perhaps a language problem there so I'll give her a benefit of the doubt. For a similar price we have had far better value for money at restaurants in Sydney and Goulburn. We were there at lunchtime. Only one other customer came in.The sound of the TV could be far better replaced with some pleasant background music I they feel the need for any "entertainment". We won't be going there again and don't recommend it.I don't like making negative comments about local businesses and I hope they lift their game because of the negative comment. In response to the reply from the restauran belowt: our request was for distance from patrons in case there were man (which there weren't). We had no problem with the waitress and obviously one can't expect distance from a waitress with whom one talks and who takes the order and brings meals to the table.. The low star rating is mainly due to the disappointing meal.

Wasn't delivered what was paid for. Cheap thin sausage rather than chorizo, which is the name of the dish, when I called to query I was told they can change anything without telling the customer. It's ashame because 85 percent is Good tasty food . I won't go back

My opinion is divided on this one. Our friends had previously had a good meal here. But our meal had issues. Being vegetarian we ordered the two pasta dishes; penne and ravioli at $18 each. We were expecting a pretty good type of chef-cooked pasta for this price. However both pastas were straight out of a packet from Woolies. The penne dish had nice veges and sauce but it was obvious these were also out of a packet. The Napolitano sauce on the ravioli was unpleasantly strong and chunky, straight out of a bottle. We felt these meals were certainly not worth the inflated price of $18 each, and that we could have produced comparable, fresher pasta dishes at home. The bowl of chips for $8 was cooked and spiced well. I don't like criticising a local business during troubling financial times but these dishes were not up to scratch. The food was hot and served reasonably quickly but the quality for the price wasn't there.
