This café/restaurant is one of my favourite places to go in the Barossa. Their food is outstanding and their wine list is seriously impressive with wines from local producers you can't get anywhere else. The best part about this place is the people though - the owners are real foodies and their pizza nights are seriously good fun. The best place for lunch in the Barossa by far.
I recently came to El Stanco for my birthday lunch, we were delighted with a long grazing lunch, the food was to die for. The restaurant itself is so cute and well set out and the staff are all so knowledgable and the owner Julian is just wonderful! I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!
50 minute drive from the city and just a hop, skip and jump from the beautiful Barossa, El Estanco is one of my favourite places to eat. I make it a point to go for drive to Greenock whenever they change their menu. Food is exceptional every time!
Make sure you leave room for dessert because the selection in their pastry cabinet makes it difficult to choose.
A great outdoor area for kids to run around as well
I was extremely well looked after last night. I cannot thank you enough for accommodating my dietary requirements and making this delicious dish. We all had an absolute blast! Beautiful food, great service! Great night! Thank you
Let's just start off by saying how good Jen was. Server extraordinare! Actually all service was great. The previous reviews hold true, I couldn't fault the place, maybe the location of the toilets but I'm nit picking.
Service top notch, food amazing and coffee and cake is plentiful. You would be hard-pressed to find a better place in the big smoke. Could not recommend more.
El Estanco…. Wow, Where do I start? We went recently and chose the feed me option which we like to do when going somewhere new as it’s a good way to see what the restaurant does best and we were not disappointed. El Estanco is big on local and seasonal produce and it shows in the dishes. Flavourful and delicious, like a party in your mouth is the best way to describe their food. Absolutely incredible from dish to dish.
Then there is the beautiful feel of the place, everything is meticulously clean and so well presented making being there so enjoyable. I love being able to see into the kitchen, seeing the chefs working away, and the flames flaring up on the asado style grill as meat and vegetables are tossed on to become delicious and charred.
The last thing I want to mention is the staff. Both times we have been there you get the feeling that the staff really enjoy working there. They are happy, enjoy having a chat and a laugh with you and are so attentive to any needs you might have. We love this place, we went on the weekend just gone for a second time and everything was just as good as the first time, maybe even better as the woodfire was cooking up some incredible slow cooked beef brisket.
The coffee is incredible and the sweets cabinet is out of this world. Pastries and cakes of every description fresh baked bread tops off an amazing little space in the heart of Greenock. Would give it 6 stars if I could 👌
Set out very nicely, plenty of room inside or outside seating. Staff very friendly & accomadating. Menu has a variety of options. Serves takeaway pastries & coffee. Alcohol also available
A beautiful and wonderful cafe
Nice place to get together with friends and family for relax and enjoy lovely food.
A fabulous lunch for both of us. He had the slow cooked brisket and hardly put his fork down he was enjoying it so much. I absolutely loved the roasted eggplant dish. Service was great and would highly recommend this restaurant.
A very beautiful interior and wonderfully maintained outside area with room for the kids to run around while you relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
They offer a great selection of gluten free options including house made cakes which are absolutely worth the price tag.
Thank you for the enjoyable experience, we are already planning a return visit.
