Came for lunch and had the $29 8 course special (no dinner tonight, so full)! Food was fresh and tasty, service friendly and very clean.

Shiki offers a laid back environment for catching up with friends and family with a focus on delicious Japanese food designed to share in comfortable surroundings.
To start there is a smorgasbord of Japanese small eats comprising of tempura, gyoza, sushi, sashimi and the like.
To start we indulged in the salmon nigiri which boasted a tenderness exhibited by high quality produce. The prawn tempura that followed was similarly delicious. The tempura batter was ethereally light and crispy. The prawns inside the batter were plump, wonderfully fresh and pleasing.
For mains the wafu steak was perfection - Tender and delicious, with caramel undertones courtesy of being cooked in wafu sauce. The dish was served theatrically on a sizzling hot plate and went exceedingly well with fluffy white rice.
Our dinner ended on a sweet note with daifuku served with green tea ice cream and black sesame ice cream.
Shiki has a band of loyal followers and it is easy to understand why - Japanese food in a welcoming environment and overall pleasant dining experience.
Oh my goodness this amazing Japanese Restaurant found on the main strip in Greensborough is absolutely expectional. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, always making sure we were well looked after. The food... now that is what it’s all about. I couldn’t be anymore impressed. The menu catered for everyone and has a wonderful variety of various Japanese food. We tried the pork gyozas, takoyaki, spicy salmon sushi, teriyaki chicken and a mixed sashimi/sushi platter. All I can say is WOW!!! Every single dish was packed with flavour and the sashimi and sushi were super fresh and delicious and arrived in a boat platter!!! Such an awesome look! We also tried a famous Japanese plum wine, which went so well with the food we ate! If you’re looking for great Japanese food, this is the place to try!!!! I cannot wait to come back and try the rest!
The owner was a real gentleman and very helpful. food was fantastic and great value. highly recommended . we had banquet which had sushi platter ,dumplings , prawn and veg tempura, a hot meal etc etc.

Shiki is a great family run Japanese restaurant located in Greensborough. I was fortunate enough to be invited to attend Shiki’s 17th birthday celebration recently.
We were treated to an abundance of sushi boats which featured a variety of sushi rolls, nigiri and California rolls. My favourites were the unagi (eel) nigiri, tuna nigiri and salmon nigiri. The ingredients were fresh and the unagi was beautifully cooked. In addition I also had the opportunity to try some other Japanese side dishes including takoyaki and gyoza.
Overall it was a great evening with plenty of delicious food. I recommend that you check them out if you’re in the area. Congratulations on 17 years, Shiki!
Great Japanese restaurant with amazingly fresh sushi boats. The owner is super humble and friendly. The nigiris were fresh and rice to protein ratio is ok. Restaurant is quite large with plenty of seating.
I had the pleasure of attending Shiki’s 17th birthday party the other week. Congratulations on the huge achievement!
We were spoiled with sushi boats, finger foods and hot tapas. Of course, I went straight for the sushi and it was delicious! Everything was very fresh, and heaps of variety too. The hot foods were also really nice. The fried dumpling was HUGE, and the fried tofu was so crispy and addictive.
I will definitely have to come back to try their full menu in the future!

I went to shiki to celebrate their 17th birthday on August the 1st. They had an amazing variety of drinks and sushi on a boat. It was honestly so hard to choose from all the options given. Also they served us with udon noodles, dimplings and also some very delicious skewers which were filled with so much flavours, loved it.
For the dessert they had fresh fruits and also dorayaki. It was my first one and i fell in love with it. Loved their hospitality and the owner was just amazing.
My son was super excited to have his fave food. He absolutely loved @shiki.japanese Sushi Boat had such a great variety. So fresh and delish.A variety of seafood, sushi and sashimi.
Fresh and expertly prepared. Excellent flavours and efficient service - a great find in the suburbs.
