We enjoyed the most amazing meal tonight!! We travel a lot both domestically and internationally and have eaten at a lot of different places. Our meal tonight was absolutely beautiful!! We shared the celeriac entree which had truffle shavings which was delicious! My husband had the beef which was so tender and cooked to perfection! I had the pork and I must say it was probably the best pork I have eaten we also ordered the beer battered fries which were to die for!! We shared the pumpkin pie for dessert and it was delicious, light and creamy!! The service was impeccable and I am so glad that we were able to experience and enjoy such an amazing meal!! Next time we are down this way we will most definitely visit again. Thank you so much for such an enjoyable evening!!
While on the way to Gundaroo, seeing the open fields from horizon to horizon, I wasn't sure what to expect. I was imagining a country pub (as fine dining was only available in cities, right?"
I'm happy to say that I was so wrong:
- The food was amazingly crafted and beautiful
- Its the layout is akin to a house or old pub (which it is), meaning that there are several rooms. The room we were in only had about 5 tables - this made for good conversation ambience.
- worth every cent.
Unrelated to my dining experience, I saw some people mention they had their wedding there, so I went for a walk around the gardens out the back (congratulations to Kevin and Jessica for getting married today (4th Mar 2017); awesome name by the way).
Anyway. It's worth the drive from Canberra.
How lucky are we to live so close to this hidden gem, 5 star all the way for service and food, a rare treat for us but so worth it. Make the trip out to gods country folks, you won't be disappointed.
