I cannot say enough wonderful things about this special place. Modern food, seriously amazing staff that always go above and beyond, overall atmosphere, decor, child friendly gardens and sandpit, cocktails, milkshakes and seriously good Coffee. This cafe is a go to for every one of my family members. The staff here make my Monday morning meetings (with toddler in tow) just as good as our family birthday afternoon spent eating and drinking in abundance on the deck! Thank you Lisa, James, Ali, Shari, Bonnie and the rest of the staff for always being so wonderful

Had my mother in laws 91st birthday there yesterday. What a lovely spot to sit and relax with a wine and a lovely meal. Will definitely be back.
Great food and good coffee, service was also pretty decent, food arrived quickly and warm and all staff were polite.
I got the big brekkie ,everything was excellent.
I booked a table for a relaxing pre-birthday lunch. we had a lovely time as did the kids - who roamed free around the grounds for most of the time. Ordering at the counter works really well for groups and adds an extra level of relaxation.
The kids menu was great and imaginative - although most defaulted to fish and chips this came in a special lunch box with a nudie juice and apple.
The cocktail jugs are definite winners as we move into summer. I had many contented friends and I thoroughly enjoyed my lamb Rogan josh roti stack. I think the salmon taco's are next on my hit list.
Dessert was next level - will definitely be back for the pavlova!
Minor complaints - not enough duck in the duck salad, dirty water cups, a little difficult to get through on the phone to book/vary booking details.

Great place with an excellent menu that is reasonably priced and with an awesome atmosphere.
After one visit Hazelhurst is now my go to place for a lazy weekend breakfast in Gymea - it's puts everything else nearby to shame.
An imaginative and varied menu with plenty of gluten free options, good coffee, a funky interior and reasonable prices - you can't go wrong.
Can't wait to visit for lunch & a cheeky weekend arvo sesh! ;)
In the whimsical garden themed atmosphere, beholds Hazelhurst Cafe where I indulged a delicious duck salad filled with an array of fruits and vegetables, plus delicious hazelnuts. Being foreign of the duck flavour, I was both surprised and drawn back. It's was flavoursome but rather dry and a little on the crunch side. My acquaintance ordered the Ploughsman Roll which consisted of an overflow of pickle flavour and a chunky piece of beetroot...just one piece. Nether the less, the rest of the roll can't be critiqued and the service was great!
Love the newly refurbished cafe & menu. Only criticism last week was that the kids' breakfast wasn't as amazing as ours. The sourdough was thick & hard to eat and none of the three kids (10,11,12 years) could eat the scrambled eggs. We would come back and try again through as coffee & avocado smash were wonderful
Great atmosphere and plenty of parking available! Staff is friendly and helpful. We got the breakfast bruschetta and the coconut ricotta pancakes. Both were quite satisfying 👌🏻 and good value. Their lunch menu looks very innovative, can't wait to come back to try it!
Loved the vibe here and was slightly reminiscent of grounds of Alexandria. The space is large and airy, plenty of indoor space as well as outdoor overlooking a large enclosed garden perfect for kids to roam around in whilst still being able to watch over them. The menu has plenty of food and drink options for everybody. Had the duck salad which was a generous portion full of flavor, the tea smoked chicken was an equally good choice with the tea smoked flavor really shining through. Would definitly come back. Perfect for large groups.

This cafe is light & airy and offers something for everyone. From brunch dates amongst friends or couples; also great for kids to roam & have a picnic in the grounds with their takeaway menu; older people lunching & wining leisurely; business people having breakfast meetings or functions. The food is tasty, modern & beautifully presented, fittingly so given that it is by the art gallery. Lunch menu is a fusion of cultures with their version of Vietnamese pork roll being made on wholemeal bread stuffed with delicious pulled pork, pate & crispy veg. Other standouts are their signature duck salad & naked sushi. There are plenty to drink in the way of wines & cocktail jugs & plenty of cakes & scones for morning or afternoon tea. Service is friendly but can be a little slow, but you never seem to be in a rush at this place anyway & can easily linger from lunch to afternoon tea.
For a quick breakfast in an otherwise busy morning, I dropped by Hazelhurst Café, located within the Regional Gallery and Arts Centre on the Kingsway. I remember being very impressed by this café when I came for a family event some ten years ago, so I was very curious to see how I would find it today.
This cafe has a beautiful outdoors area, where you can bask in the sun, whilst enjoying an ice cold beverage, and listen to the birds sing (or kids scream, being school holidays). I ordered the Vietnamese pork bun, and I have to say, I was very reluctant when I saw that it was $16, in comparison to my CBD regular at $4.
The best way to answer this; would I get it again? Yes I would! It was so colourful and so flavoursome. A brilliant summer lunch!
Can I just say that the pink benches are super cute!!! Went on Easter Saturday and they were opened and packed! Food was incredible. Presentation and food was amazing.
The team at Hazelhurst were AMAZING for our fundraising dinner and art auction. We had so much going on - guest numbers changing at the last minute, scrambles with artworks and easels, terrible weather - Lisa and the team were incredibly patient, enthusiastic and helpful. The event was a brilliant success and everyone commented on the amazing food and gorgeous venue. We would absolutely hold an event at Hazelhurst again.
Gourmet food in a relax outdoor settings. Crispy duck salad and their Farmer Baklava (pulled pork) are must to have dishes. Fancy ice tea is also my favourite!

The surroundings of Hazelhurst is beautiful with a little creek and sand pit and beautiful scenery with plants.
There's also a great Cafe with good seating out on a large deck and also inside great food and coffee .
The art gallery is absolutely beautiful with amazing pieces a fantastic afternoon outing for all .
We recently held a party at Hazelhurst. Covid meant it was postponed, but Lisa made the whole process so easy. The venue is perfect for partying and the staff and food are fantastic. What a unique venue to have in our backyard!
We added in paella, which even our Spanish friends said was incredible.
James of Hazelhurst Cafe was present on the night and he was a huge amount of fun and ensured everything ran smoothly.
A VERY big thank you to Hazelhurst Cafe for making our event perfect.
We really enjoyed our lunch. I always have the Duck salad! We couldn't resist the very high calorie Coconut Pavlova for dessert either! Great service and atmosphere as usual.
Always a delight to have lunch in with the Hazelhurst cafe and gardens. The duck salad did not disappoint.
