Best scones I ever had! Even plain bread is so traditional, fluffy and crispy! Friand is also a must try, the pumpkin stuff is also superb, everything they make on site just fantastic: Stayed in Hahndorf three nights and I kept coming back every morning for a cup of niiice latte and a scone, definitely a highlight of my Adelaide Hills escape.
The owners, a lovely Irish family, are helpful and cheerful. The vibe is also awesome! This cafe is definitely a gem in this tourism destination, please visit and you might end up keeping coming back when you are around!
Want a brilliant spot for breakfast? Here you’ll be seduced by the bread - the Irish pancakes are delicious(you better be hungry!!) Great coffee and homemade fare served with a side of inadvertent education of Irish history and wonderful service!!
An Irish delight in Hahndorf.Very welcoming owners who took our order as they unlocked the door for evening service. Delicious Guinness and Irish tunes along with great conversation.
My favourite place to go for lunch! Wonderful staff and even better food and drinks. Definitely has the best iced coffees in Adelaide. If you haven't been there yet, you're missing out!
We had lunch here on Friday 25th March, had the most delicious seafood chowder with soda bread together with a big serve of friendly banter with the owners and staff. We will be back to sample some more of your delicious menu. They also have a selection of bread (Irish style) to purchase and take home, the fruit scone we purchased was the best we have tasted. Stop in and support this place, great food and service.
I am so glad I was introduced to this delightful Irish Venue a couple of years ago. I have returned a number of times and told many about it. Each time has been for Friday night live Irish music.
It takes me right back to visits to Ireland.
The food is authentic and very delicious. The service great and always with a smile and a chat. A good choice of drinks available including of course Guinness for those who love it.
The music is also authentic and adds to the charming atmosphere of this Irish island in a German focussed town ( Hahndorf Adelaide Hills)
Lots of Irish signs, photographs and memorabilia add to the vibe of this delightful venue.

First time visiting “The Plough” and honestly I’ll be again and again!! Had a coffee to start and that was a solid 5 out of 5!! I had the Guinness pie meal and it was the best I have had!!
The atmosphere was spot on, customer service second to none!!

The service was excellent as the staff were friendly and has great customer service. We tried the seafood chowder and the scones which were both exceptional. A must visit in Hahndorf. I will definitely come back and recommend this place. Thank you!
