Kristy (Kids For Dinner)
+4
The original Okami. Great food and fast service. The kids enjoyed trying a little bit of everything. It's also a great way to try new dishes without committing to one main dish.
Absolutely loved our visit here, the food and the service were both impeccable. I think we tried almost everything on the menu and couldn't fault any of it. Just be careful if you come in a big group as the portion of the dishes you order are customised to the size of your table, so don't order something only one person wants because they'll have to eat multiple servings. The sashimi was fresh and by far my favourite dish and I would happily return to eat the same things over again. One of my favourite buffets.
Service/Staff: Friendly enough
Ambiance: Local gem
Day went: Friday Night
Items ordered:
$35 all you can eat
Worth a visit? Yes.
It's worth a visit if you've got some time on your hands. It does get really packed and the service can be slow. Flavours were good and better than expected.
The best dining experience. The food is amazing. When you hear "all you can eat" it often leads that the quality suffers so that there is quantity, but not here. Some of the best japanese cuisine I have had and the staff are all lovely and quick. I tell everyone to go here
the best Okami location 100%. i come here nearly every week and i am never disappointed. the serving sizes are great, the service is fantastic the staff are very friendly. so so so yummy
All you can eat... for less than 35 dollars... and no buffet? All freshly prepared and cooked (or raw). This sounded like it was gonna be a dodgy, sick to ur stomach restaurant that comes with free food poisoning! However it most definitely was not!
The food came out in dribs and drabs and made accordingly to your order. The fish was fresh, the meat was tender, everything was just beautiful. From the sushimi to the ice cream; it was a wonderful epicurean journey through japan. The highlights were: Beef Carpaccio, fried beef udon, chicken katsu and the homemade black sesame ice cream. Lowlights: there wasn’t many; I think the one thing I was disappointed in (very surprisingly) was the chicken teriyaki skewers!
Overall it was a fun night with fantastic food and very affordable drinks. Definitely will return and shortly!

Such a great place and outstanding value. The food is fresh and flavoursome. We keep coming back for more and love introducing it to others. Love that it is BYOW too!
Great all you can eat Japanese food, the sushi is good but the sashimi is limited. Sides and warm dishes were very fresh, even the fried dishes.
I tried the a la Carte menu here and I really enjoyed it.
Everything was really cheap and very tasty. The unagi in my unagi rolls were cooked very nicely however the only downside was that I had to wait quite a while for the food to come out. I want to try the all you can eat next time 🙌🏼
Was taken there for my birthday and we had a wonderful time. Food was quick to table, yummy and delicious....there was lettuce as garnish too!!!
This is one of the many branches in Melbourne metropolitan. We have tried in other locations so it is fair to say we will be back again. Food is served efficiently and freshly prepared. Taste is good for a buffet style dinner. We hardly take any photos lof all the food ordered as we are too busy enjoying the food. Staff are attentive in taking orders and clearing the empty plates. Ice cream variety is great to finish it off a nice meal. The only miss for us is the miso soup, lacking tofu and seaweed. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars!
Update of 2nd visit and more photos :
All the orders came freshly made. Sake goes well with sushi and others.
Called in at 4:55 and got a table for two at 5:00 pm that day. The staff were friendly and attentive (better than the Williamstown one). The food was delicious, although some of them were a bit salty. Miso soup was the best. Finishing up with the matcha ice cream, and I also enjoyed it. Highly recommend it if you are with your friends or family and have no idea where to go.
Great value all you can eat, food is prepared fresh for each order and the quality is great for the price. Customer service is fantastic and plates were cleared quickly. Servers checked on us regularly and provided ample opportunity to order more dishes. Highly recommend as a great way to try a variety of food at a great price!
This place is fantatsic. Not only is the all-you-can-eat great value, the quality of the food and the speed of the service is superb. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive. We felt like we got great value for money and left feeling full but not too full. I can't believe it's taken us so long to go but now we have, we'll be back very soon.
Incredible food and service. It was a busy night and staff were so attentive. Food was fresh, hot and delicious, and there was a great variety to accommodate all different dietary requirements in our group of six.
Very busy place- so maybe not for you if you want a quiet dining experience. Had the all you Can eat for ~ $38. Couldn't fault the food or the service. We were not left wondering when we can order next. Ended up ordering about four serves of the beef carpaccio- 10/10 recommend this!
