Finally a fried chicken shop where their chicken is actually crunchy and crispy! One of the few places I know of that do their chips really well - crispy outside, soft and slightly chewy inside, salted with chicken salt generously. It is quite oily but imo it's not ridiculously oily, however definitely not here for healthy, so if you wanted fresh and healthy there are plenty options nearby.
Service is quick, but food is never soggy. Only sad that they don't offer things like spicy fried chicken - but that's only because their chicken is so good I want more lol.
Classic local chicken shop. Been going here for a couple years now and the experience has always been consistent. Chicken and chips with chicken salt are my go to order.

I love this place! The chicken salt chips are amazing and perfect to bring on a picnic or to share with the family.
It's the takeaway from your childhood. Even when you don't feel like chips, you'll eat one, then go on to finish the packet. There might be better chips somewhere in Canberra, but I haven't found them. Eat them hot and fresh. There's some stools to sit and wait for your order. It's comfortable. Chicken is good, better than Red Rooster, Kingsleys etc.
