La Tropezienne - Hawthorn - Photo album

Real french bakery with freshly baked macarons and bread. Their chicken & bacon meat pie was delicious.
Wife bought my birthday cake from this store today and upon cutting it we found it was full of mould. Disgusting. See photo below. Imagine if my children had eaten that.
Tried their chicken schnitzel roll. Unfortunately it tasted pretty bland and below average for a bakery roll. All I could taste was the rocket and sauce, of which there was waaay too much. One half of the roll had barely any chicken, which itself was pretty tasteless and a bit dry. Bread was alright
The customer service is really great at this little cafe. However, I went for a lunch with two of my friends and when I got my sausage roll it tasted a bit like dishwashing liquid. I think it's because they had cleaned their plates but clearly not well enough. Besides that, it was a good experience.
Limited vegan and breakfast options. The menu listed on the EatClub App had a number of vegan options but none were available when we got there so I settled for fruit toast. The macaroons were a hit with my vegetarian daughter but her poached eggs arrived overcooked. Staff did offer to cook them aga
Some of the best almond croissants I've ever had. It has suffered slightly from changing hands and changing chef, but it has done fairly well to maintain standards of most products. I've heard the coffee isn't as good as it once was, but I'm an iced chocolate kind of guy, so dont know for sure.
Lovely cakes with good prices- slightly higher than market rates . But extremely fresh and some very nice choices- I bought the Lime N Pistachio cake for a birthday yesterday and everyone loved it . Parking available at the front .
Best, most freshest macarons I've ever had in Melbourne. The flavour combinations are delectable.
