The macarons are delectable! They are by far my favourite macarons in all of Melbourne. Merci. :-D

The flourless chocolate cake for my friends birthday was gone in a flash. So very yummy. Thanks.

Omg, the pistachio croissant was the bomb!!.  The contrast of the pastachio filling with the cherry jam worked really well. Lemon meringue was lovely too - the lemon curd was nicely sharp.   Coffee was satisfactory, but service was haphazard.  Many items were forgotten with 3 reminders for various items.  That's the only reason for deduct a point.  Otherwise I would highly recommend.

Charlie & Co dined as guests at an event, and we were treated to some lovely creamy slices from La Tropezienne. All so beautiful, the white chocolate passionfruit was light and creamy with that lovely zing of citrus which was a nice contrast. The chocolate slices were nice too. We also had a macaron tower which came in the perfect tower packaging (should mention that we "rearranged" the tower for the picture and that didn't work out). Quite an assortment of flavours from your vanilla/cookies & cream classics to blueberry, bubblegum and one of my favourite - rose! The macaron was perfect in every way.

It is a pity that this place does not attract a younger crowd or has a more vibrant atmosphere because the tartlet I had was not only very fresh, light and flavoursome but it has a wonderful flavoursome crumby but firm pastry base. Excellent. Coffee was OK. The staff were lovely.

Update: Jun-18
At a blogger event today we got to try some delicious slices and macarons from La Tropezienne. My favourites were the lemon meringue and the tiramisu style slice. I also tried the salted caramel and the blueberry macaron which I can totally recommend. They have a us a huge selection of macarons to try in a visually stunning tower and there was a huge variety of flavours including bubble gum, Rose, and cookies and cream... plus all those classics.

La Tropezienne has been on Glenferrie for an absolute age as I can remember getting pastries and coffee here at least 10 years ago. They have a good range of tarts and pastries, pies and breads and we were like kids looking for the perfect treat to take away. I eventually settled on a raspberry pistachio croissants (twist in the almond croissants) while KD opted for flourless chocolate cake and a florentine. All very tasty but the pistachio raspberry croissant was the star purchase. The hot cross buns looked great but we passed as already had a heap of those at home. There are a small number of tables for inside and a breakfast and lunch menus available. Staff were friendly enough.

According to a Middle Ages custom, if you eat a mince pie every day from Christmas day until Twelfth Night (6 January) you will have happiness for the whole year – what a wonderful excuse to indulge in these spiced, fruit-filled pies (quote found on google) hehe. We were invited to try the mince pies at La Tropezienne, the melt in your mouth pastry was crumbly with the right amount of fruit mince. Size wise, large enough to take two bites with your English breakfast tea. Will be back to try the quiche and the croissants.

I was invited to La Tropiezzene today to try the Christmas mince tarts and what a wonderful discovery. Smack bang in the middle of Glenferrie road is a little taste of Paris. All of the cakes, pastries and breads looked absolutely delectable and this will certainly be top of mind next time I need to take some sweet treats to a gathering. Having just come from lunch I opted for takeaway with a serious intention of having to return and sample more of the wares at a later date. I’ve just now eaten a mince pie and I’m not sure I’m going to be able to stop at just one. The tart base is perfectly buttery and the fruity flavoursome filling utterly delicious. A little box of these would be a perfect gift to your host on Christmas Day. And seeings as I’m hosting my family perhaps I’ll have to gift to self

I've previously had their cakes and macarons takeaway at various parties and functions but have never visited the cafe itself. I was very excited when I spotted La Tropezienne while shopping along Glenferrie but left pretty quick after stepping inside. It was sweltering! Didnt fancy the food poisoning risk if the creamy cakes were sitting at 30c. The dark, orange-tiled interior was also doing it no favours. On such a busy shopping strip, I would rather go to another cafe than deal with no air conditioning and not being able to see my food. Spend some money on renovations and it would be so much better.

Had the strawberry danish and creme bun here, both were yummy. The danish was one of the best we have had and was soft with good texture and flavour, the bun had nicely flavoured creme inside. Good spot for a snack or dessert. The service would be more friendly .

Lovely French Patisserie, with friendly staff. Beautiful range of cakes, breads and pastries. Good coffee. Shared the Tiramisu cake with mum. Next time we wouldn't have any trouble having one each. Was so nice and not too sweet.
The breads looked so good so we decided to get the Olive bread and also a lemon curd, marmalade shortbread as takeaway. The bread is lovely toasted 👌 the shortbread served with vanilla ice cream is nice too.

The pastries were really fresh and delicious however the mocha and cappachino was below lukewarm and average. Expected more from a place with great sweets. Clean and friendly place.

Real french bakery with freshly baked macarons and bread. Their chicken & bacon meat pie was delicious.

Some of the best almond croissants I've ever had. It has suffered slightly from changing hands and changing chef, but it has done fairly well to maintain standards of most products. I've heard the coffee isn't as good as it once was, but I'm an iced chocolate kind of guy, so dont know for sure.

Lovely cakes with good prices- slightly higher than market rates . But extremely fresh and some very nice choices- I bought the Lime N Pistachio cake for a birthday yesterday and everyone loved it . Parking available at the front .

Best, most freshest macarons I've ever had in Melbourne. The flavour combinations are delectable.
