Review The Noodies - Hawthorn

S. C
Noodies has always been my favourite rice noodle shop in the whole Melbourne. Been ordering since November 2019 when it used to open for lunch and dinner, all the way through pandemic, and now opens only for dinners plus Friday’s lunch. Just love the heirloom noodle, prawn dumpling and the milktea. Special credits to the pickles!! However, when I received the delivery today, I got that really sad news - Noodies is actually closing down….. While it would be almost impossible to find a substitute, I wish you all the best!! Thanks for your delicious and heart warming noodies!! Cheers, Sunny

4.5 stars ⭐️ I always felt excited but a bit bad when I get restaurant invites. If they expect me to write a glowing review for free food, they are dead wrong. I am normally pretty frank in my reviews, whether it’s free or not. In fact, sometimes I felt I am even stricter when I got invited so I don’t get biased by the fact that I get free food. So to get 4.5 stars from me from a resto invite, The Noodies is really, really good. It was a cold dark night and it was a bit hard to see where we are going. If it wasn’t for the pink board on the street we might have walked past it. Not a lot of people are inside and I was feeling a bit iffy. Is this even good?! The owner Jack warmly introduced himself and we got seated in a cozy corner. The mural of a beautiful girl with long, colourful hair represents the variety of noodles they have. The decor was practical, it’s not really a place to linger, the menu was short and sweet: 5 noodles, 2 entrees and 3 type of drinks. Not a typical Asian noodle house with a million things to choose from. We started off with the two entrees: smooth mover and vego dumplings. The smooth mover, whilst described as Sichuan style mung (green) bean glass noodles, doesn’t have the numbing spicy flavours, yet the sauce and the homemade glass noodles are strangely addictive. Both my friend and I loved the slightly salty, vinegary, spicy sauce, and when the dumplings came, we used this sauce instead of the one given to us because it’s so yummy. The vego dumplings was a bit small and sad looking so I wasn’t entirely sure about it, but when I pop it into my mouth it was juicy and delicious. The sauce that came with it was nice, but we did like it with the glass noodles sauce better. We were both interested in the beef brisket & tendon noodles “The Heirloom”. $13.8 is a really good deal for an amazingly well cooked bowl of noodles. The beef brisket was full of flavour and melt in your mouth, and it was one of the best beef brisket I had in a noodle house. The tendon was equally yummy and you can really tell they took they time slow cooking it to perfection. You can choose your spicy level for this dish, and whilst I ordered “inferno” which is supposed to be super spicy, what I got was (IMO) mild. Thankfully Jack was happy to provide us with lots of chilli oil so we can adjust it to our level of spiciness. Perfect 💯! One thing that’s missing from the menu though is vego option in noodle soup. At the moment vegos only get the choice of vego dumplings and the Ming bean noodles, both entrees. The owner Jack told us that they have put a lot of thought into the menu and decided rather than offering a million and ten dishes, they wanted to keep it simple and offer what they do brilliantly. I think they have succeeded to do just that. We would like to thank you Jack and The Noodies for inviting us to try their food, we have already made plans to come back!

Decided to visit The Noodies for dinner. First things first, the staff is extremely friendly. Always keeping an eye out for you and making sure the food is good to your liking. From the moment you walk in you feel a great vibe. Very cool and interesting choice of name as it sticks by you... "The Noodies". Who could forget that name. So 10/10 for choice of name. Getting to the food now, the menu is very short and simple, not your classic asian restaurant with 50 pages of dishes. It's very straight forward and they stick to what there good at to try build on that and become the best at there dishes to have that cutting edge. The prawn dumplings that we had ordered was delicious, when you bite into it the pastry of the dumpling was steamed at the right temperature and therefore it gave a right amount of texture in the mouth, wasnt undercooked or overcooked, it was just right. Getting to the main dishes, we ordered the famous "heirloom" with beef brisket in a chicken based broth and also the "big spoon" with seared chicken with teriyaki sauce also in a chicken broth. The servings are extremely large and will definitely fill you up if your hungry. Also perfect choice of noodles, they were delicious and tasty. I would reccomend this to all my family and friends. Definitely worth coming down for a visit! Will be back again soon.

Great little place! I’ll be back for sure. I had the Heirloom noodle soup. The brisket was amazing! They offer 5 levels of spiciness, so I chose zero spiciness, because I’m super sensitive. And there was ACTUALLY zero chilli! Very tasty broth, I was happy. The dumplings and milk tea were also amazing. Highly recommended.

Delicious noodles and I appreciate the small menu. Good place when all you want is something noodles. If the portion of the food could increase a little more it would be perfect
Sally B
Excellent little find! Delicious dumplings and noodles. Cheap, good service, good portion sizes. We will absolutely be back.
Emmanuelle Wyatt
Delicious noodles, generous portion and friendly service. The Heirloom was divine: the beef just melted in your mouth. It was so tasty, so full of flavours! We also loved the Big Spoon. Each broth is unique, which makes each dish on the menu a unique culinary experience. We also asked for a warm tea and they were more than happy to accommodate us. Highly recommended!

Delicious noodles, but warning for the very hungry - portions are a little on the smaller side
Lara
So glad I stumbled upon this new place! The noodie and hooked on you are now my go-to comfort food. Love the smooth and springy texture of the noodles!
Ann Marie
A small, homely restaurant with simple but delicious noodle soups.
R Chung
Small joint but service was great and food didn’t disappoint. Kids loved the noodles!

Love this place! come here all the time, I love the homey vibe of the place and music is always on point. the chicken soup is my favourite but have tried everything on the menu. Everything is full of flavour and great prices. The chicken wings are so good as well but not on the menu so be sure to ask! Service is amazing from the lovely girls at the front as well as the owner, they truly care about customer satisfaction.

Love The Noodie - comes with peanut sauce and generous mince on top!

Came here for dinner a couple months ago, saw they were on the Zomato Gold platform, so why not give it a try. <br/><br/>The dumplings were quite nice and full of flavour, we ordered 3 noodles (1 each), king cool, the noodie & big spoon. <br/>Noodles were alright, very light and quite tasty, but the texture of the noodles is not my personal preference to be honest (but take note it's personal preference). <br/><br/>Food: light and tasty, but very limited menu.<br/>Service: the girl that served is was great and energetic. <br/>Price: with Zomato Gold, really can't fault it on price. <br/><br/>Overall: 3.9/5
Melanie (ForeverBrunching)
A great one stop noodle shop in Hawthorn! The menu range is limited, but what they serve is very tasty!<br/><br/>The stand out for me in the interior is the beautiful artwork on the wall. It's so colourful and really makes the space feel brighter.<br/><br/>DRINKS<br/>Oolong Tea: A slightly sweet yet refreshing tea<br/>Milk Tea: Creamy, sweet milk tea which tasted great!<br/><br/>FOOD<br/>The Loot: These vegetarian dumpling were tasty & bite sized. Each one was flavoursome & served with a lovely chilli oil (not overly spicy which I liked)<br/>Smooth Mover (Mild): These glass noodles were soft & the sauce was more on the sour/spicy side<br/>The Noodie (Mild): I really liked the richness that came from the peanut based sauce in this dish. The rice noodles were soft and slurp-worthy! I would recommend ordering this dish with a more sour/lighter dish such as the Smooth Mover or King Cool to cut through the richness.<br/>King Cool (Vegetarian & Mild): A cold noodle dish with tasty mushrooms & tofu. This broth was more on the sour/sweet side, which was a nice contrast to The Noodie.<br/><br/>The service is really friendly & welcoming. The food came out in waves of drinks, entrees & mains which I really liked.

Simple and best. Get to choose spice level. Good place to go if you are in for some spicy good.

Been here way too many times. Noodles is freshly made and my favourite here beside noodles is prawn dumpling, one of the best.  Friendly staffs and nice place to chill. If you have so much time to chill and not in a rush, this is a good place to come. Love it.
Issabelle Breen
The noodles are absolutely delicious. My friend and I ordered the two chicken dishes and both dishes looked mouth watering! <br/><br/>The King Cool (which was a really fresh, chilled noodle dish. I couldn’t get enough of it!) <br/><br/>The Big Spoon (The teriyaki chicken was so succulent and the sauce was tasty.) <br/><br/>The lady who served us was so attentive and polite. Would highly recommend this place to anyone of my friends, we are definitely coming again very soon!

Located near Auburn rd on Burwood rd Hawthorn, great place for quick bite to eat... a regular visit a must.

I always the peanut noodles as a vegan option and it’s consistently so good. Hearty and satisfying and really good value for money. Will definitely keep coming!

The red bean soup are a nice dish for winter

Hands down the best noodle place I’ve come across in Melbourne. Life is not complete until you have tried their unique Noodie and Heirloom noodle dishes.
James B
We tried the beef brisket, salmon and chicken options and they are very tasty and quite different. The milk tea also very nice.

Decent portions for the price of the food. Cute little restaurant where you can tell that each bowl of noodles were made with love and care. <br/><br/>Service: friendly staff that's willing to assist you to your needs. When I went, however, my order did take a long time as there was only one chef and perhaps 8 people waiting on a good amount of food. While I didnt mind waiting, it was a little longer than ideal. However, the staff were apologetic about it, which I did appreciate. <br/><br/>Food: <br/>The Heirloom 3/5 - good bowl of noodles and great value for the price. Overall enjoyable. The soup base wasnt oily and the beef brisket was nicely cooked. Some pieces were tender but others were a little stringy. That being said, the pickled veggies definitely completed the dish and brought the authentic flavours of a good taiwanese bowl of beef brisket noodles. The soup base was definitely on the more 'cleaner' side, as in there wasnt much oil (which was great) but also lacked a little bit of flavour as taiwanese (or asian) cuisine usually is rich in soy sauce salty flavours, so I wouldnt have mind if the soup was slightly more savoury. That being said, the noodles were well cooked with good consistency. <br/><br/>Would love to come back and try their dan dan noodles though! That's actually one of my favourite dish but because they were known for their Heirloom I thought I had to try that first.

My friend and I absolutely loved this place! The service was excellent and the food quality was sensational. The ambiance and interior was warm and inviting and we both loved the wall art! This is sure to be one of our regular dinner destinations! Do yourself a favour and try these guys out!!

Easy street parking is always a bonus. Service was friendly. Only 5 noodle dishes to choose from. Serving size is on the small side. Broth was nice, more toppings would’ve been good.
Emily
We liked the prawn dumplings and heirloom noodles. The Big Spoon chicken noodles were very bland and would not order again.<br/><br/>The low rating is mostly due to the complete lack of service we received. The waitress ignored us to talk to one table, even when our food was placed outside the kitchen for delivery. We ended up collecting it ourselves.
Angela
Lovely pace, I like the heriloom the best, very clean and fresh. But can we have tissue not hand towel please😂? Happy to give 5 stars for the food and friendly staff.

A nice little noodle shop but seems to quiet during Friday lunch hour. Noodles was good with the beef brisket well cooked and tender, but i would love to have more broth. The dry noodle is my favourite, nicely mixed sauce very tasty. We came because of Zomato Gold, otherwise I find it a slightly pricey than what i would normally paid for.
Baby Gee
Noodles tasted good, milk tea was really nice and not too sweet, and service was friendly. The only down side was that I asked for no spring onions and coriander in my soup noodles and it came with them all, then I had to see my yummy bowl of noodles taken away :(
Magdalene Ho
We ordered the Heirloom and the Big Spoon. Between the two, I preferred the Heirloom. The beef briskets were tender and beautifully cooked, while the chicken-based broth was quite tasteful to drink. It is suffice to say it is a fan fav for a reason. <br/><br/>The place is small but cosy for small groups dining. The ambience was good, awesome song playlist too & the service was commendable. Both servers were polite, friendly and assisted to our every needs. <br/><br/>Would def recommend this place to all.
Ninilovesfood
Loveee this place! My favourite is “The noodies” super delicious, absolutely love the peanut-y taste. My second favourite is the “The Heirloom”, delicious tender beef. Amazing service as well by Jack and his wife! Love this place.. kudos to new business 👍🏻
Hungryjacs
Decor and service was lovely. Noodles itself were also quite good, and I especially enjoyed the super tender beef from "the heirloom" but I have had similar noodles for a lower price. If I could rate 3.5 stars I would.
Grace
Extremely friendly staff, great customer service.<br/>Noodle dishes were tasty and delicious and a decent price for the serving! Wasn’t a fan of the milk tea but the chilled teas were good. Would definitely go back. <br/>PS: Love the feature wall mural, fantastic touch to the cosy eatery space.

Came here with a groupon voucher. Food was good but nothing to wow about. There was not enoug toppings.<br/><br/>I would probably not return if i did not have a groupon voucher as I could get similar soupie noddies for a fraction of the price elsewhere

One word - authentic!<br/><br/>The dishes certainly have a "chef's touch".<br/><br/>They look like simple dishes, but I'm told, the preparation needs meticulous care. Anyway they taste fabulous, and are quite different from the noodle dishes elsewhere.<br/><br/>Take for eg. the Dan-dan noodles, these are available aplenty in Box Hill (& elsewhere) restaurants. Yet the chef's "interpretation in The Noodies is unique, this one has a peanut butter based sauce, delicious!<br/><br/>The Heirloom beef brisket noodles is equally good, the meat is tender, the scallions & mustard ("hum choy" in Cantonese) adds variety to the dish.<br/><br/>Our 3rd visit using Groupons.<br/><br/>Oh and the service is really warm, attentive and friendly. The lady boss/chef came out to chat and gave us complimentary red bean soup as dessert, a really nice touch, and it tasted good too!<br/><br/>We'll certainly be back!
Andy Cook
Been there 3 times now & have thoroughly enjoyed each visit (take away).  The service has been exemplary & they're very quick. I'll be back again soon.
Lizzie Eats Melbourne
😱Lizzie’s first impression: a new humble restaurant situated on the busy street in Hawthorn. This place is the place to be if you’re craving abit of soupy noodles. <br/><br/>🍩Lizzie enjoyed: I tried the signature dish of this place called the "Heirloom" - the soup was a chicken based broth and was delicious, it didn’t taste like MSG at all. The Heirloom also had a generous amount of twice cooked beef brisket that was really tender and flavoursome. <br/><br/>We also tried the Dan dan noodles called "The noodie" and this was a dry noodles, with a peanut based sauce and pork mince with a dash of sesame oil. It was yummy and had lots of flavour. The noodles were quite enjoyable to eat as it was al dente. <br/><br/>I loved the ginger and chicken dumplings - it was crispy on the outside and had lots of filling on the inside. That completed my meal perfectly. <br/><br/>🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: The mover which was the sichuan-style mung bean glass noodles was different to what I'm used to but I reckon it needs just a tad bit more chilli to give it that punch. Flavours are well balanced though. <br/><br/>🥇Lizzie rates overall: a great place to have noodles and great for those who are indecisive as they only have minimal dishes on their menu.

I love some good noods and consider myself a noodles fanatic. So when The Noodies reached out to me to sample their wares, "say no more". It's a small shop with a mural taking centre stage on one side of the wall. Their menu is slim which as you know my philosophy, less is more. Despite the naming convention on the restaurant name and dishes, they actually leaned on traditional preparation on most menu items.<br/><br/>We start off with a drink, one of the waitresses suggested I give their warm matcha a go, I can't say no to a recommendation. Made from almond milk, sweet and smooth and the matcha wasn't too abrasive.<br/><br/>We shared a couple of starters, the prawn pan-fried dumplings had a nice crisp edge and a minced filling. They were good and was hard to stop at one (I bet my friends were regretting not getting more). It was however difficult to dip into the soy sauce provided as the opening was very narrow. <br/><br/>We also got their Sichuan-style mung bean glass noodles (served cold), which I found not spicy at all and very savory. The highlight was the translucent noodles, a satisfying smoothness and springiness makes for textural delight. Very fresh and makes for a perfect Summer dish. I think they can expand on their offerings of this and make liangfen with a combination of sesame paste and chilli oil.<br/><br/>Finally I got The Heirloom (mild) which seems to be their signature bowl of noodle soup. The portions are quite adequate and ticks all the boxes. Firstly the noodles, they are surprisingly firm just the way I like it and has a nice bite to it. The brisket was very soft, you did not require teeth. Last but not least the broth was very clean and hearty, the pickled mustard greens really spoke to me and gave it that little bit of sourness which helped cut through the heavy dish. Polished it off easily.<br/><br/>It stacks up right next to some of my favourite noodle joints in Melbourne and as such is rated equally the same. Would definitely visit more often if it were more local. The staff were pretty welcoming, I'm not saying this because I was a guest but they were genuinely like that to everyone. Check out their Instagram for super cute corgi pictures!

I didn’t choose the nood life, the nood life choose me!<br/>.<br/>Deal or Noodle? 🍜<br/>.<br/>It was a sure DEAL for me as soon as I saw that there was an Inferno Chilli Challenge to conquer at @the.noodies !!<br/>.<br/>What a delicious dish! 🍜🥰🤤 I can’t explain how delicious it was, I don’t normally like peanuts in a lot of my food, but the addition of a touch of peanut sauce to accompany the heat of the chilli in the dish was amazing! 🥜<br/>.<br/>A clear 🔟/🔟 from me!<br/>.<br/>"The Noodie” Inferno Challenge - dan-dan style dry rice noodles, peanut-based sauce, pork mince, bok choy, chives, sesame seeds .<br/>.<br/>It won’t be long until I’m back again as the Hooked on You 🎣 “haha clever pun there 😉" dish of pan fired salmon is waiting for me!<br/>.<br/>The owner and his staff members were so humble and friendly, great to have a chat with! Even just chatting to him alone would have me coming back!

I would highly recommended this venue. It's one of those things once you try it you come back again. We order the hooked on you and taste super authentic. I've bookmarked them for my local noodies shop

Tried the glass noodle here a couple of weeks ago. It was cheap even the bowl was a bit small though if it was a bit bigger it would be a much better experience. Overall its a good experience.

Hooorraaayyy!!! We won again the raffle organised by our fellow blogger, @stellyyeats and we got a $50 meal voucher at The Noodies, Hawthorn. We’re thinking to redeem this meal voucher in the next couple weeks on the weekend. We checked their instagram and review on Zomato (good review), we couldn’t resist to try this ASAP and decided to visit The Noodies on that day. LOL!!

Loved their noodle! The noodle was perfectly made to perfection. Very tasty soup combined with the noodle. High recommended for noodle around the neighbourhood.<br/><br/>Definitely coming back

A small little place tucked away in the corner shouldn't be underestimated as they do a really good soup. The broth is strong and robust and full of flavour. A small place offering simply well done food. Keep it up Jack it was a pleasure to meet you.***Disclaimer: although the restaurant has generously invited me to their restaurant this review is still based on my genuine opinion.

Authentic homemade soup broth with chewy and tasty noodles. The chilled milk tea compliment the dishes well. Service was very friendly and attentive!
Some Bunee Loves Food
A new and cute place! The wall art with the colourful hair colours depicting noodles are creative and pretty!<br/><br/>The staff were very friendly and nice. We can see regular guests coming in and having a chat with the owner like great friends. Great local connections!<br/><br/>For the entrees, we ordered the smooth mover which is the sichuan-style mung bean glass noodles. It was like a cold jelly and tasted great with the chilli and vineger sauce taste.<br/><br/>The prawn pan fried dumplings were thin-skinned and crispy on the bottom. We dipped it in the chilli sauce provided for a chilli kick.<br/><br/>For the mains, we ordered the Heirloom which was the twice-cooked beef briskets, tendons, pickles, bok choy, coriander on rice noodles drenched in a chicken-based broth. They used a passed down home recipe and insisted no MSG in their stuff. So it makes it guilt-free and a taste like a family cooked meal.<br/><br/>We also got the Hooked on you - which had a big piece of pan fried salmon on top of the rice noodles, tofu, bok choy, creamy fish-based broth and topped with spring onions. This broth was more flavourful but a more 'fishier' taste. The salmon wasn't salty which I liked.<br/><br/>The noodle bowls were huge! But we still managed to slurp it all down! It was yummy. The dishes reminded me of those from the Lan Zhou cuisine. Especially with the beef briskets being so tender and pickles were added in the soup.<br/><br/>For the drinks, we got the chilled milk tea and I love how they do not put ice in it - I would hate for my drink to be diluted with ice!<br/><br/>They also had a special warm matcha milk tea which was great for the cold weather.<br/><br/>Thank you for the great experience, The Noodies! Continue to send noods to us please!
Jill
I’m normally vegetarian, but I go flexitarian just for the beef noodles (the Heirloom). Absolutely delicious, the soup is hearty with a hint of spice and herbs to prevent it from being too rich and the beef melts in your mouth. Portions are very generous for the price. Will be my go to for the coming winter weather. My friends tried the Dan Dan noodles and really enjoyed them too. Service is prompt and friendly. Highly recommended!

This new little place on Burwood road was quite lovely from the homey space to the super friendly and helpful staff to the great value and delicious noodles. My friend and I got the heirloom beef soup and the noodie dry pork noodles to share - the latter was a little too sweet for my liking but the heirloom was absolutely delicious especially the soup base (they say it’s healthy but I think it’s surely a bit too delicious to be healthy?!) The noodles were great quality, lovely flavour and bouncy texture - value for money is excellent.
Vanessa
We had a nice dining experience here at this newly opened restaurant situated on the quieter end of Hawthorn. The general taste of the food is authentic and the texture of the noodles is great. My fiancé ordered “The heirloom” which has been dubbed a fan favourite on The Noodie’s menu. I found the chicken-based broth to be a little sour for my liking and also thought that the ratio of ingredients could have been more generous - too much noodles compared to the beef brisket. <br/>The “Big Spoon” was better flavour-wise and I couldn’t get enough of the seared chicken with teriyaki sauce. The chicken broth in this one was more subtle but indeed, hearty. <br/><br/>The vegetarian dumplings served with soy and vinegar sauce is as good as any other restaurant. The chilled milk tea, again, standard but not disappointing.<br/><br/>Service is good, the waitress is friendly and the food comes out quickly. The atmosphere is cozy and quiet

We were kindly invited to have dinner at The Noodies by Jack the owner. This restaurant is only a month old and upon arriving we were greeted by Lizzy our friendly waitress and Jack and were given an explanation of the dishes they offer. They have chosen to keep their menu short so they can focus on what they do best. These are family recipes that have been meticulously crafted over the years. <br/>There are 5 different types of noodles on the menu. Their signature is ‘The Heirloom’, which is twice-cooked beef brisket and tendon with rice noodles, pickles and bok choy. I loved this dish as the soup was hearty and the beef was melt-in-the-mouth tender. It was also a little but spicy which I loved. If you want you can customise your order to make it more or less spicy (or they can give you chilli oil on the side). Big plus point for me is that they don’t add MSG in their food. All the soups are made using good quality ingredients. <br/>My partner ordered the ‘Big Spoon’ which is rice noodles with seared chicken with teriyaki sauce and bok choy. The chicken broth was comforting and it felt like I was drinking home-made chicken soup by my mum. The chicken was tender and smokey. <br/>We also tried their prawn dumplings which was juicy on the inside and very tasty. The dumpling wrappers were also very thin and silky. The mung bean glass noodles were a great appetizer - slightly spicy and sour and silky smooth. The chilled milk tea had great balance and was not too sweet. <br/>All in all a great meal - the place was brightly lit, clean and the mural on the wall was gorgeous. <br/>Jack and his staff are really friendly and welcoming and I hope everyone can come and support them!<br/>Thank you again to Jack for the invite!

The Noodies is a new noodle joint located in the heart of Hawthorn. The restaurant is small and homey, but the design is very modern and funky, and the wall art is stunning! The interior is very clean, colourful and brightly lit.<br/><br/>Their menu is comprised of 5 different noodle dishes, a couple of side dishes, and drinks. It’s not a big menu, but they definitely have carefully crafted and perfected each and every single dish. <br/><br/>We started off with the sides - the Smooth Mover (mung bean glass noodles) and The Loot (prawn dumplings). <br/><br/>The dumplings were delicious! The skin was extremely thin and the filling was flavourful, and not at all greasy! <br/><br/>What really blew us away was the homemade mung bean glass noodles - this is definitely a must-try! The texture is so smooth and slippery, and you almost don’t even need to chew it! The sweet and vinegar style sauce is perfectly paired with the glass noodles!<br/> <br/>As the weather is getting colder in Melbourne, we decided to go for their soup noodles - The Heirloom (their signature) and the Hooked On You. <br/><br/>The Heirloom was definitely the highlight for me! The beef brisket was unbelievably tender, and the tendon literally melts in your mouth! The soup base is extremely flavourful without being heavy or oily. I opted for mild spice level which added the perfect amount of kick that really complimented the broth flavours. And the rice noodles themselves were cooked al dente, thick and with a nice bite to it. <br/><br/>The Hooked On You uses a fish-based broth which is very creamy and fulfilling, and the salmon is cooked to perfection! If you love salmon, this is definitely one not to miss! <br/><br/>We also had their homemade Chilled Milk Tea and a Chilled T2 Oolong Tea. Their milk tea is amazing - it’s fragrant, not too sweet, and super refreshing when paired with the noodles. Definitely worth a try!<br/><br/>The staff here are super nice and friendly! The owner is extremely passionate about his cooking and providing something healthy and nutritious without compromising flavour. I really do love the dishes here and I felt so good after my meal!<br/><br/>It’s definitely a place worth checking out and I highly recommend it! <br/><br/>Thank you so much for having us in!

Really amazing vibes and super friendly staff. Their Heirloom noodle soup and their Noodie dry noodles are must tries. Generous serving portions. Yum!!

I love eating noodles and that is one of the reason that I want to tried out the noodles after reading others reviews. I ordered the the noodles and the loot which his the dan dan spicy noodle and the loot is the dumpling both taste super and tender. Love it all and i will be back for dishes

New, cosy and friendly staff. I love the food. Definitely a place where you find food that’s cooked with love. Interesting and yummy food from start to end. Price wise is moderate. Food portion is good. Definitely coming back here 🙂

Amazing all round experience. I had the heirloom. The broth was so full flavoured, the brisket melted in my mouth and the noodles really tasty! Also the perfect amount of spice ensured my palate wasn’t hindered. Accompanied by the chilled milk tea (as recommended by the owner) this was a real delight. I didn’t even feel like noodles coming here but will definitely be back! Please do yourself a favour and check this place out.

Noodies is all about the noodles and they are good noodles indeed, featuring a bouncy texture only found when they are freshly made.<br/> <br/>We had the signature dish, their heirloom, which had tender beef brisket bathed in a yummy spiced broth. We also tried the salmon “hooked on you” dish which had salmon cooked just the way I like it – lightly pan fried, tender in the middle.<br/> <br/>The soup was infused with natural, clean tasting flavours for a well blended dish.<br/> <br/>Prices were good value for money, relative to the portion size.<br/> <br/>Definitely a contender for the best noodles around.<br/><br/>
Sunny Days Melbourne
We were given the opportunity to try some of the dishes at this newly opened restaurant with a truly unique name. Their menu was made up of a small number of signature noodle dishes (which made it really easy to decide what we wanted!). <br/><br/>Essentially, everything we tried was authentic and refreshing - the kind of wholesome food my grandmother (bless her) used to cook. <br/><br/>The Heirloom was impressive. Freshly made noodles swimming in a tasty, MSG-free broth and intertwined with the most tender beef. I was personally blown over by The Noodie. That peanut based sauce was highly addictive! It was a very unique noodle dish and I suspect will be very popular. <br/><br/>And of course, who can go past a nice cool glass of milk tea to wash everything down? <br/><br/>Simple yet unique, healthy yet tasty...rich in flavour and beautifully executed. The Noodies is the definition of a hidden gem in Hawthorn. We had a Noodie-ful experience!
Melbourne Food Spotter
Decided to visit The Noodies for dinner tonight. First things first, the staff is extremely friendly. Always keeping an eye out for you and making sure the food is good to your liking. From the moment you walk in you feel a great vibe.<br/><br/>Very cool and interesting choice of name as it sticks by you... "The Noodies". Who could forget that name. So 10/10 for choice of name. Getting to the food now, the menu is very short and simple, not your classic asian restaurant with 50 pages of dishes. It's very straight forward and they stick to what there good at to try build on that and become the best at there dishes to have that cutting edge.<br/><br/>The prawn dumplings that we had ordered was delicious, when you bite into it the pastry of the dumpling was steamed at the right temperature and therefore it gave a right amount of texture in the mouth, wasnt undercooked or overcooked, it was just right.
Cookielessvee
A casual dining noodle joint with a select variety of noodle dishes. Newly opened for the last 2 weeks, great service and the interior is warm and welcoming. Portions are value for money, big and fresh. Check out the amazing graffiti art on the wall.<br/><br/>Entree: we tried both.<br/><br/>Prawn pan fried dumplings - pan fried, well presented and filling is wellmade.<br/><br/>Glass noodles - thick strips of noodle infused in a vingery yet sweet sauce<br/><br/>Mains:<br/><br/>The heirloom noodles are in a beef base. Tender meats, soft noodles and soup that has a slight spice to it.<br/><br/>Big spoon - Imagine chicken being slow cooked for hours to give the house made chicken soup. The chicken is tender and the garnishes compliment the dish.<br/><br/>Chilled milk tea is aromatic and sweet, a great pair with the noodles.<br/><br/>Tip: If the spice isn't hot enough, ask for more chilli oil !<br/><br/>Overall an amazing experience!<br/><br/>***we were invited to try the place but opinion based on own opinion***<br/><br/>
