A taste of home! I will always come back again and again for the nasi lemak as well as the bak kut teh! Authentic Malaysian food at a great price 🥰
It’s a small and simple Malaysian shop if you wish to try simple Malaysian cuisine. I personally love their curry laksa a lot, and sometimes if they do sell Sarawak laksa, that’d be my favourite because only they sell the real Sarawak laksa. It’s also pretty affordable in this store, so it’s a good place to have affordable yet delicious lunch or dinner. Their hainan chicken chop is also amazing, would absolutely recommend it
On a recent weekend visit, the 2 of us tried the Curry Puff while we waited for our order of the Hokkien Mee and the Oyster Omelette. One of the best curry puffs I've had in Melbourne, with a light pastry and generous filling. The Oyster omelette was tasty and not oily. My fussy friend enjoyed the Hokkien Mee so much, she returned a week later! Trust the reviews - this place serves authentic Malaysian comfort food.
We were off to a tasty start with the Nasi Lemak. In true classic Malaysian fashion, it came with chunks of tasty chicken rendang. The juicy cuts of chicken were beautifully marinated with plenty of spices and so full of flavour. Alongside sat the usual condiments including cucumber, boiled eggs, anchovies, peanuts, and of course a spicy sambal to tie it altogether. The spicy, crunchy and flavourful combination made this a very tasty dish indeed.
Great tasty authentic Malaysian food at very affordable prices !
Best roast chicken rice in Melbourne. Don't take my word, try it yourself!
Since we don’t go back to Malaysia often, we are always on the look out for an authentic Malaysian food in Melbourne to satisfy our cravings. Well, the search is over!! Klang & Co definitely didn’t disappoint and made us feel home with their food!! 🥰
🥢 Char Hor Fun - This is one of my fave dishes from home. Very yummy and had the “wok-hei” taste .
🥢 Bak Kut Teh w/ Aromatic Rice - Hearty and tasty. Pork was very tender and the broth was flavourful.
🥢 Or Chien Oyster Omelette - Boy I was excited when I saw this on the menu! I’ve been craving this so much... unfortunately, it didn’t hit the mark for me but it did satisfy my cravings for it.
🥢 Beef Rendang Nasi Lemak - The Sambal combined with the rendang was very delicious! 😋
.
Highly recommend dropping as it’s just located conveniently in the alley access to Glenferrie Station. Well priced, authentic and great quality!! 👌🏼
Literally the best prawn mee I have ever had in Melbourne so far. Tastes exactly like home if not better 😋 A solid 10/10!
Came here to eat the other day but unfortunately lost all my photos. However all the dishes were really good, not too greasy so doesn't feel sickening like a lot of restaurants are now. The boss Sunny and Kean were both really nice too! They gave me a description of the dishes which really helped me to choose from their menu. My favourite was the oyster omelette. Was sooo flavorful and i think i can actually finish 5 plates of those!! Though, restaurant was a bit hard to find. (It's in Don Aracade, turn left at Schnitz).
One of the nicest Malaysian restaurants I’ve been to in Melbourne!
We had:
🍜 Hokkien Noodles
🍲 Beef Rendang with coconut rice and fried chicken
🍲 Ba Kut Teh with Aromatic Rice
🍗 Roasted Chicken
🍠 Yam Cake
My favourite was the Bak Kut Teh. Especially that now it’s still pretty chilly. The broth was full of flavour and the fat of the pork just melts in your mouth. It just goes so well with the aromatic rice!
All the other dishes were really good too! The sambal chili combined with the coconut rice and rendang was so good! My friend especially loved the hokkien noodles and it’s honestly one of the closest things to local Malaysian food. Roasted chicken was crispy and not too dry. The yam cake was super yummy too!
Sunny and the other staff were super friendly and welcoming! Had such an amazing time eating here!
