We dined one evening (if you can call 5.30pm the evening!) for an early dinner. Staff were accommodating to our needs for a table with a highchair and place to park our pram. We were served quickly, although I did note that the table next to us received a lot more information about the menu and specials from their waitress than we did from ours. Not a big deal in the big scheme of things.
We ordered a vegetarian pizza and the seafood pizza. My husband really enjoyed his seafood pizza, a good amount and good variety of seafood – although a bit odd you have to pay extra for cheese. My vegetarian pizza was also very tasty.
Not the best woodfired pizza we’ve ever had but still very tasty and worth a visit.
BEST PIZZA IN HERVEY BAY. Amazing value for money and great customer service, would highly reccomend this restaurant if you're visiting Hervey Bay for a holiday, would not hesitate to say that this is one of the best restaurants in this town :) I've eaten here over 30 times
Food- The topping size was rather small, and the 'bacon' I asked for could not be seen. I was told they were bacon bits, but couldn't be see a among the cheap ham.
Staff/Service- Very mixed. Some were amazing; polite and attentive, whereas a couple really struggled with simple communication which made ordering difficult.
Atmosphere- The restaurant felt very authentic and I loved the use of a real wood fire pizza oven.
Price - We felt that it was a bit too costly for the quality.
Value for money- We ordered the make your own pizza, and it really felt like they skimped on the toppings.
Not a terrible experience, but probably not good enough for us to want to come back next time we visit the area.
Authentic Italian Pizza. We ate here on New Year's eve and were back the very next night for more.
They seriously have the best, lightest, most authentic pizzas you will ever eat. My favourite was the 4 cheese - droolworthy - as well as their spinach & cheese calzone. Their prosecco was also reasonably priced ($27/bottle) and very cold.
Cannot recommend highly enough. 10/10. Wish we had our very own Paolo's in Brisbane.
Faultless. Lovely staff with great service. Pizza is authentic, and I would argue it's better than what I've tasted in Italy, because it's a touch less oily. If dominos is your thing, you aren't going to like this place. Crusts are beautiful, light, crispy yet fluffy. Pizzas aren't overcrowded with too many flavours, just great combos to enhance the tasting sensation. We've been to Paulo's twice, and ordered different pizzas each time. Couldn't pick a favourite - THAT'S how good they are. Five star, we'll be back :)
Driven past this place many of times... Will be stopping here way more often when I visit Hervey Bay.
Food was fantastic, cooked to perfection, great wine and great service in a nice cosy warm friendly atmosphere (it was a cold night out - we found the perfect spot to chillax).
Hope next time is as good as our first experience.

My restaurant of choice in Hervey Bay. Host Paulo makes the best authentic Italian pizzas and the gnocchi is just to die for. Hostess Lianne makes you feel line part of the family. Great value!!!
Very good wood oven Pizza, normal price and good size and amount of ingredients. One thing I noticed is some of the vegetable toppings may not be as warm as the rest of the Pizza itself, probably the oven is too hot that it will cook the dough and cheese before the vegetables or the vegetables are stored in a cold container. However, they taste fine. I personally felt that the special Paolos sauce has anchovies in it which I wasn't expecting 😅
Service was very friendly and accommodating. Place was very clean and order takes about 15 mins or so to be ready.
Sitting and enjoying a drink at this lovely restaurant. The smells from the pizza oven are very enticing and gauging by the constant stream of people coming to pick up orders the taste must match the smell!
Lovely and authentic Italian experience! We had the pasta and the pizza with seafood, both delicious, with perfectly cooked fresh seafood and a lot of flavour! Really recommend this place, service was quick and extremely friendly, thank you Paolo for a great dinner in a beautiful setting.
My partner and I went to Paolo's for dinner last night after work and omg! The best decision ever! Obviously we over ordered as usual... Haha but we had the charcuterie board as entree , Frutti di mare (seafood pasta) and prosciutto pizza as mains. We also ordered couple cocktails.. capriosca and caprinha . Best ones I've ever had. Will be back ❤️
Best vegan pizza we’ve had, and we’ve had a lot of vegan pizzas! Unexpected gold gem in this sleepy little seaside town and vegan options to rival new towns best. So lovely to be offered in such a caring and thought out dish. The Vegana pizza was outstanding and the biscoff panacotta was delicious.
Really cozy atmosphere, the staff are so friendly and helpful, really prompt service too.
The food was so good. We had a garlic pizza to start with and it was good, pasta was amazing.
The only minor negative is that they don't take bookings, only walk ins, we had to wait a short while for a table.
Definitely recommend, can't wait to go back to Hervey Bay to eat here again.
Leigh was an amazing waiter friendly and knowledgeable. Has made the evening…the food was incredible. Definitely get the scallops they are divine….So happy we choose to come here! Highly recommend, please don’t miss this Hervey Bay eatery! Bellissimo ❤️
