Marina Pizza And Pasta

Seriously good pizzas! Good amount of toppings, flavoursome and delicious perfectly cooked base!!!

2. Pork Ribs with BBQ Sauce - Delicious, very meaty and large serve
3. Family size Supreme Pizza - Nice thin crust, heaps of toppings and just yummy

Affordable, sizey, and tasty. First time trying Marina Pizza and Pasta in Highett. I live in Brighton and the order was delivered with a wonderful, smiling and very pleasant young chap. Phone order was quick, simple, and very easy.
I ordered two pizza's....
One family sized traditional supreme (without anchovies), I added garlic since it offered none, plus I love it. It tasted pleasant, except not much base sauce :-( That was the only true downfall. It could have done with more saltiness, so anchovies suit this recipe, or had they included more salami it would have been perfect without anchovies, but still, definitely needed more sauce!! Mine had barely any salami nor sauce, sniff.
Olives were (halved) tasty kalamates along with fresh tasting ingredients mentioned in the recipe. Cheese is moderately covered on the family size, but I could have done with a touch more (in my opinion).
Cooking wise; I like my pizza's cooked more. I keep in mind I never asked for it, plus it was a family size which is more difficult to cook to my liking.

Second pizza was a large called, Roma (I added pineapple due to the sound of saltiness in this recipe). It was a very nice add, and the saltyness from plenty of salami was there. Barely any sauce at all though, sniff sniff, sniff. The cheese coverage was almost perfect, but cooked perfectly (I keep in mind that smaller pizza's cook way better and can usually hold decent cheese coverage to suit). The salami on this pizza was evident, and so I placed additional slices on the supreme to enjoy that one with more bite & salt, but the lack of sauce was once again a great disappointment.

Both pizza's were delivered hot and on time (I ordered on a Sat night at 9.15pm and told 30-40 mins.. it arrived in 35mins with a phone call upon arrival).

The size of the pizza's and toppings are perfect or even better than perfect really (if you like leftovers)... except the sauce factor and the salami-less supreme.

For the price, plus ingredients, I am sooooo ordering pizza here again and again! I'll tweak it to suit mine and their style.
Prices are amazing considering the size.
Pasta, wings, and ribs are definitely on my next to try list.

Pizza to go. Just picked up my family supreme pizza (no Pineapple) absolutely Yum!! The thin crisp crust had a load of fresh toppings which always surprises me for a local take-away shop tucked in Highett suburbia. The price is unbeatable for the quality and taste, which is why we are semi-regulars. Congrats.
