Can’t work out why this place is always empty as I had a pleasant enough experience. Perhaps it’s because it’s closed on Sunday when the many other cafes in the area are bursting at the seams. Lovely atmosphere, engaging menu, attentive staff and tasty food. No issues with taking your time, even if you’re not eating. Don’t recall it having outdoor seating for diners with pets.
This cafe has been my go to brunch spot since it opened. They do simple really well. I always order eggs on toast and add-ons to see what a cafe really has to offer and they totally pass the TING test. Perfectly scrambled eggs, delicious bacon, crazy good hash browns and tasty braised beans to cut through the richness. They always have great service accompanied by fantastic food. I'm marking them down 1 star as the hash is not seasoned on the inside which would make them perfect!
A simple menu done well.
And yet another cafe opens up in this area. Happily sitting at the quiet end of highett, this cafe is warm and inviting.
I do get a little sick of the same old breakfast items on cafe menus but when my dish came out, it looked beautiful, as to did to did the food around me on other tables.
I had the salmon fillet and it was delicious. Beautifully presented and cooked nicely.
Good coffee to top it all off to.
Thanks for breakfast guys :)
It’s not always that nature compliments your decor , but at this cornerside discovery it was just a perfect brew of a windy afternoon mixed with some sunshine and ever clear streets with the world just passing by in SLO-mo.
The spread was a rather interesting one and limited , just as I like , no overcrowding of the menu .
The staff was so very excited to see each new customer, am sure it may be a great work environment for them .
The portion size is sufficient for one person , but the presentation makes you greedy for more , a classic case where the mind wants more and Body wants none .
My take on this one , well if you want a moment to reflect on something or just want to spend time with someone with memories to take back you’ve just found the sweet spot .
We were greeted at AM PM by very friendly staff, and had a coffee within 3 minutes of sitting down. Exactly what we needed! The menu had some unique items as well as the usual favourites. The mushroom breakfast (forgot its actual name) was an absolute winner! Didn’t leave me feeling too full up which was great. All the produce tastes so fresh and the food was super quick, hats off to the kitchen.
well that was a surprise. In a strip of shops opposite the supermarket I ordered a crispy salmon with hollandaise and spinach. What I received was a crispy salmon as promised. Possibly on the edge of being over cooked and a bit too salty. But I'm not a salt fan and I'm being very picky.
So I'm unsure why there are not more people who come by this place? If I were a local I know I would come by more often.
Always get excited to explore a new spot and this time, we found a place to settle our Saturday breakfast before little Zonni’s ballet class: AM PM Cafe in Highett. AM PM, a nice spacious café situated at the corner of major street and Highett Road, right underneath a block of apartments with nice sittings outside as well as inside. AM PM’s open kitchen gives you a welcoming feeling once you walk in. It’s like walking into a home where you can see how your food is cooked, at least little zonni got occupied for a bit while we had a few minutes to read the menu.
Really like coming here for breakfast. The staff are always so friendly and the food is prepared with such care and quality ingredients. I miss the goats cheese/hummus avo dish, which was replaced on the menu. Was really unique and would love to see a come back! I can get a traditional smashed avo anywhere. Good work though guys :)
Came across this place totally by chance while looking for another cafe in Highett, and decided to give it a go...Ordered wagyu burger with bacon for myself and quinoa salad with lamb for my wife. Service was friendly and efficient, food arrived reasonably fast. Taste, flavour and quality were very good. Ambiance - above average. Quite busy at Sat brunch time....Prices - decent. Overall - recommended.
Great local cafe with a super cool fit out. The coffee is excellent, food is great and the menu had lots of options. I drop in here regularly for brekky and coffee and its consistently good.
The cafe is very well presented, very clean and comfortable. Food is simple and tasty, presented attractively, consistent in quality. Service is very good. Music is not too loud, making conversation easy.
Ray the Manager has very unfortunately left and his warm and caring presence is greatly missed. The place is not the same without him. He used to greet guests, have a chat with returning guests and made the place special.
Amazing service + great quality coffee! Nice atmosphere, and decor. Really enjoy going to this place! The only issue I have is that the menu seems a little sparse/expensive. I. E. Rich-people "tapas". Other than that, I can honestly say I love coming to this place, so I'm giving it a five star review anyway.
Exceptional brunch spot. This trendy modern café has a bright open dining space with lots of communal tables and an outside courtyard dining area. In this part of Melbourne where brunch has become an institution, AM/PM are a shining light. The prices are reasonable, the service friendly and efficient and the coffee is great! The menu was interesting and varied. Food presentation, quality of ingredients and taste was exceptional!
My friend and I had a good experience. This is a nice cafe/restaurant in a good location with a clean and neat look. The coffee was pretty good, and they were happy to accommodate a somewhat picky coffee order. We would recommend and the next time I visit my friend we will be coming here. There was an expansive menu that I am excited to try.
Staff have always been fantastic here. The food is well presented and tastes great. Have breakfast here on a weekly bases. It's clean and the layout is nice. Outside tables may need a bit of stabilising and the chairs need some cushions. 👍
A nice new cafe. Coffee is great. Food is great too. Keep in mind that they won’t allow you to book a table however which makes it hard with a family of small kids having to wait around.
