By far one of the best resurants in perth. The food is to die for, we ordered the mix platter for 2 which gave us most things on the menu and we was amazed by the food and how good it tasted.
The mac and cheese is a must try, also had a great selection of ciders.
I was a cook for 5 years at an American bbq joint in Chicago. Having lived here in OZ for 6 years, I've tried a fair few places that claim to have American style bbq, but side door takes the cake. The food here was nice, but the atmosphere was buzzing. It was very loud, and bustling with people, but that's how it should be!
We sampled a fair few of their serves - I'd recommend their brisket, southern style fried wings, and beef rib (but only if you like fatty meat, you'll know what I mean if you've had beef rib before). The mac and cheese was nice, but it's a heavier sauce so sharing is recommended.
Great experience, friendly staff, and most importantly - pride in their food.
Tried the dallas platter, jalapeno poppers, brisket, jalapeno cheddar sausage, pork rib, corn bread, mac & cheese and coleslaw. My fav pick would definately be the ribs, brisket and mac & cheese. Great service, meat lovers paradise, will definately be back.
I ordered the Southern Fried Thigh Burger and it was so tender and delicate that I ordered another one! I totally recommend the Mac and Cheese as well which was full of delicious richness. The staff was very polite and took our orders super easy and fast. I will definitely be back here soon.

If you’re in the mood for American barbecue then look no further than Sidedoor Bbq. The extensive menu allows you to build your own platter of barbecued meats, sides and salads.
I opted for some hush puppies, pork belly lollipops and a side of Mac and cheese. I liked that I was able to customise the quantity in my order, although it should be taken into account when ordering that portions here are quite generous.
Everything I ordered was tasty and flavoursome. This was my first time trying hush puppies (fried polenta), they were nice and crispy and golden on the outside. The pork belly lollipops were juicy and full of flavour whilst the Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy. Overall I enjoyed everything I ordered.
In addition to my order I also received complimentary popcorn and a sampler of some of their drinks. I was too full for the popcorn however I managed to finish the drinks, which were all very refreshing.
Overall I had a great experience at Sidesdoor BBQ, I enjoyed the tasty food and appreciated the warm and attentive hospitality. I rate it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ our of 5 and recommend that you check them out if you’re in the area.
Hade the platter for 2 with pork ribs, mac n' cheese in addition. Really love them. Pork ribs was delicious, pork belly lollypop is so good, my buddy preferred the pulled pork but I like the brisket. Portion is pretty massive too for the platter, though I thought they could do with a couple more ribs instead of just the 2 that they served. I mean they're big but I think it's a little bit pricey. Still worth trying though! Will definitely come back for more.
This place is a meat lover's paradise! From the ribs to the pulled pork, the servings are huge complimented by a great range of sides. Be sure to go there hungry, as you won't be when you leave!
Great friendly service, great tasting BBQ at very reasonable price. Briskets at $12 per 180gm was flavorful and moist. Sauces were good. Highly recommended place to visit when in a group. Beautiful experience.
We tried this place for the first time the other day. I don’t know why we didn’t discover it earlier. Very generous portions of meat for a party of four! We ordered the SDB Platter for two which had: brisket, pulled pork, BBQ chicken wings, pulled brisket, Hush Puppies, Pork Belly lollypop, and Coleslaw. We added extra Beef short ribs and Pork ribs St. Louis cut, Mac and Cheese, Corn on the cob with lime and chipotle mayo, and parmesan cheese. The beef short ribs wasn’t as soft and tender as we’d liked it to be, the pork ribs were delicious. The mac and cheese was very rich, creamy and cheesy. The corn on the cob was ok, I’ve had better. I also ordered the Bacon Bloody Mary. It was delicious. It was’t spicy enough so I added extra tabasco sauce.
The service here was great. The waiters and waitresses made sure we were happy and kept checking on us. Great place for group gatherings over meat and drinks. Yum.
We came here for the Christmas celebration with a group of friend. We had the share platter for 2 and 4. The platters were huge, a lot bigger serving compare to the angel fall grills.
The meats are quite tasty. Didn’t really like their cornbread, creamed corn and coleslaw, but that could be just personal taste.
Overall, we had a great time here. Service was very friendly and welcoming.
Friendly helpful staff and delicious food. Been here multiple times and have given gift vouchers as presents to friends. Always a great place to eat out.
Fantastic service and even better slow cooked meats, and they certainly know how to do a generous serving! We were even given tasters of their in house mixed drinks (I can’t remember their names) but they were delicious. Definitely going back and going hungry!
