Excellent atmosphere, attentive and fun staff and fabulous food. We had the chef's menu and chose the oysters with chorizo and the ravioli with lamb. The oyster dish was divine - the salty and warm chorizo and fresh peas really complemented the oyster without over powering it and the ravioli dish was light, delicate and delicious. The other course all fabulous. We decided to add an extra dessert and share half each rather than share one dessert between 2 - we were please with our decision. Not a large menu selection but rather great food done well. The coffee guys does fun and creative crème art - Noel got a koala face in his macchiato!!! Looking forward to our next visit

They were able to fit us in at the last minute (and it truely was full). The food came quickly and it was outstanding. The beef carpaccio was probably one of the best ever. The duck was also a standout dish. The wine selection was appropriate with some lovely local wines. The decor was quirky and fit the style of food to a tee. Would definitely recommend as a place to dine no matter what the occasion. Should not forget the service, it was also perfect, with just the correct amount of attentiveness without being intrusive.

We had a lovely evening on the 14th October at The Black Footed Pig during our weekend away in Hobart. We hadn't really planned - and hadn't booked. It was a busy Saturday night - yet your wonderful accomodating staff were able to find room for the two of us to enjoy a meal. Opting for the Tapas menu (so we could try - and share - a variety of dishes), we ordered the crispy fried sardines, the scallops, pork and beef albondigas, roasted carrots and parsnips, plus the Moorish spiced crispy lamb ribs - washed down with a delicious Spanish Rioja tempranillo. Each of the dishes were carefully prepared, beautifully presented and totally delicious. The meal exceeded expectations. The staff were professional, efficient and welcoming at the same time. Our only downside was perhaps we should have ordered fewer tapas dishes so we had room for dessert - hahaha. Thanks for a wonderful evening in Hobart - it was memorable for all the right reasons! We'll be telling friends of our experience suggest they visit when in town.

Four of us had dinner here last night in this busy buzzy place. We all shared the dishes and all loved it. Outstanding .. one of the best dining experiences in a long time. The ravioli was our favourite. Looking forward to going back!

Found this place as it was opposite the quest apartments. At suggestion of the receptionist we went across and were very glad we did , food and service was excellent can highly recommend any visitors to Tassie to book in and enjoy.

Thoroughly impressed with our first visit ..it wont be our last ! Brilliant tasting menu, amazing way to share so many different dishes. Try everything ! So accommodating with our birthday celebration. Staff even arranged for a birthday cake to be made from the amazing Daci and Daci Bakery. And to top it all off one of the best coffees in town ! Thank you for a memorable night ! Keep up the great work !

My husband I just spent a week in Hobart eating out every night and this restaurant is head and shoulders above the rest. Amazing chef and wonderful staff. Our only disappointment was that we did t find them until the last night or we would have eaten there every night. Do youself a favour and book a table at this restaurant. Colin and Kirsty Ranki

We had a wonderful meal last night, superbly presented food with great flavours. Was a busy night with the noise amplified within the dining room, all adding to the experience. .. Thankyou Chef and his team, well done..

Fortunately for us all the previous restaurants we had tried were booked out. Sometimes you just get lucky and the Universe smiles upon you... What we had the pleasure of experiencing over the following hours turned out to be THE absolute highlight of our Tassie foodie journey. Simple yet complex food, excellent service and attention, great cocktails, awesome location and view of the harbour with an atmosphere that allowed conversation without being sterile. The 'Feed Me' option was an excellent suggestion where each dish was a highlight. Could not recommend The Black Footed Pig more highly!

Great restaurant, amazing service! Went here for my birthday dinner and loved it. I had two people join the reservation late, taking our table from 6-8 and the restaurant was so lovely and made it work, even though they were fully booked. Food was excellent and exceeded my expectations! We decided to not do the set menu, and shared several plates. Each one was great, highlights were the octopus and cocktails!

Complex and simple flavours at the same time, this is a very interesting restaurant and a good visit for foodies in Hobart. Iberico ham and the duck was amazing

The meals were fantastic... the best we've had in Tasmania. We worked our way down their list of G&T (Gin and Tonic) cocktails...and they were all excellent and a little unusual. We ordered from their main menu rather then the tapas menu. Just a little tip...when we tried to book a table there was nothing available, but we rang and were offered a table in the bar section... which was perfect.

The most amazing restaurant we have ever been to! We went for our anniversary and did the banquet, best money we have ever spent. My partner is just a plain simple eater and he ended up licking every plate clean! Service was amazing too. We'll be back for sure!

We really enjoyed our dinner at the Black Footed Pig. It was the perfect setting over the harbour and the restaurant did not disappoint. Perfect mix of local seafood and produce. The staff were lovely and very attentive. We usually like to have dinner a little later in the evening however we’re thrilled we picked an earlier sitting to enjoy the view. We will be making another stop here on our next visit to Hobart.

Last minute booking on a busy Thursday night. They squeezed us in. The most remarkable food experience in a waterfront location. Chose the 'feed me' option. What followed was a Cascade of interesting delicious plates. Left feeling very well fed, relaxed and definitely keen to come back soon. Thanks guys.
