Ahh, there nothing quite like Mediterranean food and what a great restaurant to experience it at.
The place was quite airy and welcoming inside. The staff very friendly and made you feel very welcomed.
I started off with Saganaki fir an entree followed up with Gyro Lamb & Chicken with pita bread,

What an amazing little Greek resturant, Mike and his partner where fantastic, attentive, the service was great the food was traditional greek. If you want to enjoy and evening out and are happy to wait for good food this is the greek resturant to go to. Reasonably priced and very enjoyable.
Great restaurant and authentic Greek vibes. These guys were able to give us a table on a Saturday night without a booking and we were so grateful!
One feels sincere warm welcome at Filoxenia. Food is authentic Greek n service is excellent. Highly recommended. Prices are slightly on the high side but one leaves Filoxenia with a full belly.

I was sold as soon as I looked at the menu - same things like you would find in Greece. This place offers some of the most authentic Greek / Cretan dishes (beyond the typical souvlaki) and you have to try something new! Fantastic food and fantastic service. We visited in January and loved it. Came back in December and it was just as good. We ordered a number of smaller dishes to share and the flavour is amazing. It's a must if you are visiting Hobart.
