A French bistro serving classic dishes. There are limited seats and the ambiance is uncrowded and welcoming. The drinks list is useful if you want just a glass of wine or a beer or a cognac while many customers BYO their own wine. It is well worth taking a special bottle because the food is just so

Deliciously robust flavours. Friendly and attentive but unfussy service. Lovely atmosphere - get the feeling there are a few "regulars" who dine here... and I can't blame them! Will definitely be back.

A cozy non-pretentious restaurant with a well established reputation for great quality and simple elegance. My partner and I have enjoyed dining here for well over a decade. It's our favourite restaurant in Hobart. Be sure to book well ahead, as this place is popular with the locals.
Nice to have a beautiful, long meal with time to chat. A great wine was recommended to us and all three of us had great meals. Duck, salmon and beef mains, with French onion soup and ravioli for entree. The dessert menu looked great but we could not fit any more in.
