This is one of my favourite cafes in Hobart. The menu has a good range of dishes and as the cafe is located at the very end of a pier, you get peaceful water views and watch the MONA ferries go by. On this visit we had the grilled focaccia and the fries which were both really good. The coffee is also great here. Lovely atmosphere and service staff were friendly.
Cant beat the view, beautiful spot right on the end of the pier. Watching boats & even saw a cheeky seal playing in the harbour.
Also had lovey decor & plates.
Food was tasty, very well presented. Loved the twist on the peanut butter & jelly on toast - although blackberry was still frozen which was a bit disappointing, hubby had the pork & apple pie he was impressed with that.
Really high quality food in this cafe with nice views of the sea! I particularly liked the black rice sushi bowl with Huon Salmon. The flavours balanced each other well.

AMAZING. Best cafe i’ve been to in Hobart. Wonderful views of the bay while keeping warm and toasty inside the venue OR rugged up outside on the deck (the waitresses even put the heaters on for you!)
Pricing was average but definitely worth it for the quality of the coffee and cake we tried.
For all coffee-lovers, I highly recommend.

Top notch! Litteraly the best thing is the location right on the water, and the food drinks and service don't let the place down at all. A good place to show off Hobart; and definitely a new favorite for me in Hobart.
Nice location to enjoy the harbour from the patio. The morning we went was as cold as a witch’s wassit and the rugs provided were a nice touch.
Food was very good but coffees not so good.
Would definitely go back to enjoy a quiet drink on the patio again.
Simple breakfast done well. A lot of cafes near here are fancy/vegan so being able to get a delicious beef sandwich and bacon and eggs was very welcome. Amazing views over the water, not over priced, definitely worth a visit.
Great location for a fantastic waterfront view. Has indoor and outdoor seating, small but mighty menu filled with lovely goodies. Couldn't go past the cheese and some sardines. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and reasonable prices. Can't go wrong.
We dropped into Brooke Street Larder on the recommendation of staff at our hotel and we weren’t disappointed. Having told Max, our friendly waiter, that we were in a bit of a rush to catch the MONA ferry, he duly took our order and kept an eye on the ferry for us to let us know when boarding was commencing. The food was amazing - we had the charcuterie hash and scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and seeded toast - absolutely delicious! Not to mention the fantastic coffee and water views. Thanks to Max and the guys at Brooke St Larder for a delicious breakfast, see you next time!
