This is one fine place to be in Homebush.
Mediterranean restaurant which doesnt not disappoints you ever, I am fond of lebanese food and this place is the best I can find near me.
Don’t complaint if its dry as thats how its cooked, tRy with pickles, garlic and chilli sauce and you will feel its complete.
Best charcoal chicken in Sydney and the food is always tasty and fresh. The burgers and wraps are great as well and Good value for money. Always happy to come back.
I love coming to this restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious. My chicken is always succulent and I love that garlic sauce.
The fit out is pretty trendy and plenty of space to eat in. The staff are always friendly too.
This was my first time eating at ANAR and I went during the lunch period so there was around 3-4 people in the line but the wait wasn’t too long. Luckily didn’t have to wait long for the food either.
There are table seating areas both inside and outside and both area are connected via a large open window which made the interior feel open and airy.
❌ it was really hard trying to find parking in this area. So you might have to park on the side streets and walk to the location if you’re visiting during busy hours.

Since it is a Charcoal Chicken restaurant the vegetarian options were obviously limited
Vegetarian Plate
• Overall everything on the plate was nice
• I especially liked the dips and the tabouli
• The plate came with bread as well
• The falafel themselves were okay on its own but you can’t even taste them when you eat it with the tabouli, dip, pickles and bread (like a falafel kebab style).
My first impression was another take on nandos. It definitely was, but tasted so much better as the chicken was charcoal grilled. The staff were very friendly and the prices were all very reasonable. We had ordered the 3/4 chicken, which included a side of lebanese bread wraps and pickled veges. It was nicely complemented with the garlic sauce. All together, they complemented each other quite well. I especially liked the service and flavours.
I usually goto the Croydon Park one.This place has more seating and better ambience,but service is a little slow and when they brought my mixed plate put,they forgot my cutlery and bread. Food wise it's pretty good,though my mixed plate looked smaller than other places but it was still filling. I'm not sure if they close the windows and put on the a/c. Prices are reasonable too. Worth checking out this Lebanese chicken place
You got to love the local businesses run by local families.
Staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. The charcoal chicken and platter options are all easily recognisable across charcoal chicken places across Sydney.
$13 will snag you regular chips and a plate of a quarter chicken accompanied by your usual green and pink pickles, and garlic sauce to dip.
Chicken isn’t dry, and the chips are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
I like this place. The mature lady there is very warm and friendly, as are the other staff. I felt like I've had better pickles elsewhere and I felt the chicken could have been juicier and hotter, but otherwise quality of the food still felt like a bit of a steal for the price. Baklava might be a tiny bit more expensive per pop than kebab shops, but once you try you know why. Big bag of fried bread for $2 also really nice. Would give it 4 stars, but that garlic sauce is some of the most heavenly I've found out and about.
Very solid grilled chicken burgers. The chili is quite mild but you could always ask for extra to spice it up. Garlic dip also a nice addition to dunk your chips into.
Their namesake, the charcoal chicken, was excellent! The lamb wrap however was below par compared to others I've tasted elsewhere.
A great place overall with nice staff.
This place sure is one splendid grilled chicken shop, with a range of tasty burgers. I've never enjoyed Oporto but if I was to imagine what they tasted like back before they were a terrible fast food chain I imagine it would have the same wholesome ingredients and down to earth flavours that Anar has.
Anar love to put chilli sauce on their burgers. I for one do not eat much of the spicy stuff, but this sauce was just hot enough to enjoy without melting my face off.
Chicken was prepared fresh, good on them. Thus it wasn't dried out. The chips had a good crunch and the chicken salt distribution was satisfactory.
Service was nice. You can tell the staff have a good working family vibe about them.
Available for eat in or take away. A good amount of seating both indoors and out. I'd love to eat here during the summer time.
We'll be coming back.

We had Chicken wrap and burger meal. Wrap was full of flavour. The mixture of the wrap was well balanced to get taste of everything.
Chicken burger was also full of flavour and with crispy chips.
Food was served quick with smile. Ladies at the front were busy and engaging customers well. Thank you team!
