Compare to other yum cha places i think sunny harbour’s dim sums are bigger. Price is reasonable and food is hot. The service, like any yum cha places, is minimal.
I really like the siu mai, it was very meaty. The spinach dumpling has prawns and chives, but nonetheless very delicious.
Mango pancake can use a bit more mango, but was nice.
Would love to come back.
Brought take away yum cha. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. The flavours of the har gow, prawn rice rolls and the chives dumplings were good. The chicken feet were delicious. The pork ribs were mediocre. The mango pudding was nice. It was on the pricier side, but the dumplings were larger than at other yum cha places, and the flavours of the food were pretty good.
Busy as most yum cha plsces. But the stuff are always all smiles and patient. My newest favourite is their crumbed white bait fish. The chicken feet are plump. You pay 20% less with cash on weekends. Try to score a table on the first floor as that's where all the freshest dim sum are rolled out.
Best Dim Sum in town. Traditional Hong Kong Style Dim Sum found in Sydney. A variety of choices for the dim sum with reasonable price. The staff are so friendly.
Their quality of dim sum can be inconsistent, had some bad food before but the last 2 visits were excellent. Big portions as usual and the taste was great. I hope they can keep it up. 😌 Weekdays Yum cha they offer 20% discount when you by pay cash. I recommend to visit on a weekday since their dim sum price is slightly higher than other places. 😬
As for dinner, food quality has always been good. Big portions and full of wok hei. They also offer discounted prices on seafood.... and of course, when pay by cash. 😏
Quite possibly one of the best yc places in Sydney. This place serves only the traditional dimsum delicacies. Worth a visit when in hurstville.
Classy multi-storeyed Chinese restaurant serving up authentic and elegant Chinese dishes. My all-time favourites are the XO Pippies and Mud Crab. The service is usually pretty decent but the food came out a bit slow the last time I was here. Their steamed barramundi is also done very well. Also serves Yum Cha during the day which is definitely worth coming back for.
First time here. Great range of food. Quality was hit and miss on some dishes. We came on the long weekend and service was still good. The dumplings were the highlight and they were made fresh, which is pretty rare. It wasn't especially amazing, but it certainly delivered on its services.
Oh the delight of Yum-Cha goodies, makes my mouth water just thinking about them. For some reason this place is my kids' favourite Yum-Cha spot.
Set over three levels means you don't have to wait long for to be seated, even though it's peak hours. The dishes are tasty. You'll find most if not all your Yum-Cha favourites here. From the classic BBQ Pork Bun, Prawn Dumpling, Chicken Feet, Steamed Gai Lan, and more. To the adventurous Braised Offal. Finish off with Asian dessert favourites Mango Pancake, Egg/Custard Tart, and my new favourite Chinese Sugar Donuts. You have to try their Sugar Donuts!
The only downside is the frequency of the cart is scarce, especially if you're seated on the third floor, so you might need to order some dishes instead of waiting forever for them to come.
If you ask me, it was very reasonable especially when the portions were huge.
