Thank you so much for your wonderful food and service. You are all so friendly and make dining with you a treat. Your food is beautiful and the flavours are amazing. Can’t recommend this place enough!!
A really wonderful place to go and experience something exceptional. Had the banquets ~ plenty of food, delicious and beautifully presented. The Teppanyaki chefs made it magical and theatrical. Staff friendly and service amazing. Highly recommend this place.
This place is definitely a go to if you want to experience fancy live cooking. The chefs are friendly and open to giving taste and pallets advice. The meat they cook is to perfection! The sesame and the green tea ice cream is nothing short of heaven. Try going for the set menus. Multiple varieties to try from! Definitely for the price they charge..its worth it!
Best teppanyaki in Adelaide, your chef was great fun and the food was amazing
Had a ball and will be back again
Dont look past these guys they are awesome
Sunday lunch, what a great idea. 1st time for my partner & me at their new location. An excellent job by the staff, especially Nick our chef & Jack. We had the lobster banquet which was huge, lots of food, come with a healthy appetite. I like the range of Japanese beers & sakes. Leave room for the Black Sesame Seed Ice-cream & Maple Syrup Dessert. We will definitely be back.
One of my greatest experience with supper welcome friendly staff and delicious food.
Cant wait for your new bigger venue!
Should make a booking! Worth for us to wait even We had booked!
This place is the perfect location on the parade. There are only 20 seats with most of these around the teppanyaki grill. The chef is lovely big personality and friendly. The staff all were welcoming, polite and attentive. Tempura starters with miso soup and salad. Fresh, made to perfection and presented lovely. Lobster set was amazing we started with 3 perfectly grilled pieces of salmon followed by a lobster tail. This was fresh flavoursome and so well presented. Then came the beef which was cooked to our liking with a beautiful pepper corn sauce followed by vegetable fried rice. Very impressed and I will definitely be going to the new restaurant in Hyde Park when they open.
Was taken here by friends so I could try a okonomiyaki which I had never even heard of, let alone eaten. Apparently my friends had had it recently in Japan. Anyway, seated quickly around the standard teppanyaki hot plate, this dish is a type of crepe/pancake with veg, meat and amazing sauce, it was really nice. A great place with pretty good service, not cheap but not overpriced either, well worth a try.
This is a tiny little restaurant that is very personal. Teppanyaki is always fun and it was really enjoyable. The food was excellent worth a visit.
Having been here a number of times, it's time for an updated review.
Dinner time tends to be on the pricey side, but the specials are a pretty good deal as they include miso soup, rice and a small coleslaw salad - plenty of food for lunch.
Dishes which we really enjoy include the tempura, and you can't go wrong with the chicken or calamari teppanyaki, which tend to be very tender. Duck breast is also something we enjoy, though the best time was the first time we ever had the dish.
The takoyaki is also very good! I'm a bit sad that they no longer offer yakitori, as the one time I had it, it was amazing.
Dessert wise - hono nana (flambe banana) is very nice, though the sugar in the dish could be pared back given bananas are already sweet.
My partner tried the Okonomiyaki for the first time recently and thought it was quite decent - though it ended up being heavy in the stomach because it is like a pancake. I tried a little and found that there was a little too much sweet sauce on it at first, but the pizza part was light and fluffy and tasty with ginger notes. It was different, but not my type of dish.
Service is generally good. The dinner menu is more of a special occasion thing due to the higher price, and the portion sizes of each teppanyaki dish isn't big, but it should be more than filling when pared with the vegetables, miso soup and fried rice on top of it (order from the sets rather than the a la carte, as it is a little bit more value). The only thing with this though, is that I personally like to eat my meat *with* rice, and the fried rice only gets cooked nearer to the end of the meal.
All in all - if you like Japanese and are looking for something different to sushi on The Parade - this is the place to go.
An unexpected but delicious and satisfying dinner out in Adelaide which partly satisfied our Japanese cuisine craving! Samurai Teppanyaki House is a tiny establishment with novel decor that serves… you know it, teppanyaki. The menu was small, simple, and tantalizing. But yes, it was also pricey. I would not suggest visiting this restaurant unless you were prepared to spend $50+.
I really enjoyed coming here with my husband. We had purchased a scoopon and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a tasting of 3 sakes. And we had unlimited miso soup and rice. There was lots of varieties that came with our courses. Including squid, lamb backstrap plus more. I am going to come back for sure again
