One of the best restaurants in indooroopilly, suprised it's not packed every night.
I had the Kangaroo. Firstly, it was cooked absolutley perfectly. Tender in the middle, with the sauce complimenting its strong flavour just beautifully. I've had roo a few times in my life, only ordering it when at finer restaurants as I know it's a difficult meat to cook properly without having an over-powering meaty taste, and this is by far the best i've had. Blown away.
The butterbut pumpkin had such a nice warm flavour, the mushrooms had a great pop and were still firm yet flavour soaked, the carrot was cooked just the right amount and the beetroot was really something special. I've never tasted such an intruiging sweet flavour. Surley they were marinated beforehand because they were seriously amazing.
To top it off, after every few bites, a hint of asian flavour came through with the meal, it wasn't present through the whole thing, but every now and then it surprised you and was of high calibre.
I'mgunna go ahead and say it... not just a meal, an experience.
Get around it.
You won't find better food in indooroopilly. I don't care if you're mum's quter italian, french, japanese, lebanese.
These guys should be charging more.
If your a visitor to Australia like I am and looking to try some kangaroo or crocodile, than this is the restaraunt you are looking for. The food is awsome and the staff is friendly.
The only place I could find around Brisbane that serves kangaroo, and gosh was it fantastic. The woman I assume to be the owner who also takes the roles of hostess and waitress was an absolute sweetheart, the food was all wonderful and the environment very cute and relaxing. 100% will come back here any time I'm in Brisbane.
