The classic after school milkshake and sandwich joint. Nothing wild or crazy, just good food at a decent price in a nice neighbourhood. Pity one of the local schools closed down though.
Love this place! Local and always hits the spot. The staff are always super friendly and the range of breakfast and lunch options will suit everyone's palate. Pictured is the chicken schnitzel focaccia - it was later in the afternoon and they didn't have any focaccia bread left understandably so I was happy with the multigrain pictured. Fillings were great - rocket, avocado, tasty cheese and mayo.
I've had their vegetable focaccia, also hit the spot.
This place is a regular spot for a reason. Keep up the good work.
Kept waiting, enjoy the locals.. Lovely little out of the way shopping dinning area. Stopped for coffee with time to spare till my next appointment. Coffee and paper available and service timely and non intrusive.
For Something Different.... A positive review! I had breakfast at Cafe 232 and have no complaints whatsoever. The staff went out of their way to be courteous - moving tables together for our group and modifying a menu item for a junior diner. While not haute cuisine (not that I was expecting it for $10 for Eggs Benedict), the food was well-presented and tasted great. The meals were served quickly and the staff paid special attention to the smaller diners on the table, even taking the trouble to follow us out of the cafe with free cookies for the children - a lovely touch. The only slight downside was the coffee, but for the service and value, this could be overlooked. I was more than happy with the cafe and will definitely be back.
I was pleasantly surprised to come across this cafe in a time of need for a family function. Beautiful fresh sandwiches were prepared with a great range of fillings and bread types. The best part was the friendly and reliable service I received.
The dumplings were good as, best dumplings in Melbourne, the owner is a good as bloke. Great prices for the delicious food. Have gotten many other great food from this cafe. Would definitely recommend eating here.

Stopped in for a coffee and a pie on my way through to a job. Service was excellent, coffee was just right, pie was probably the best home made pie i have had and the spring roll was just crunchy and flavoursome!! Stop here if you want the best cafe food in Ivenhoe!!
great place, so convenient to come in and grab something to eat and the owner is great bloke. would recommend the dumplings, very good prices for very good food.
