Review Rocksalt Italian - Jannali

Fantastic experience! My partner and I came here to celebrate 6 months together. Food was served in generous portions with an excellent wine selection. They decorated our table with love heart glitter on the side. Restaurant was cosy and decorated nicely. They have a comfortable lounge wall with cushions. Wait staff were very professional and attentive. We attended on a Saturday night and the place was very lively and noisy. So it's not the best place for a long conversation but at least we were able to cuddle up between meals on the lounge. They went out of their way and even wrote happy anniversary on our dessert plate and complimented us on looking like a cute couple and asking us how many years we were married! Being busy, meals take a little longer to prepare and we found the share bowl garlic prawns was too small for 2 people and they didn't bring out additional bowls to spoon it into anyway. So keep that in mind when ordering. Otherwise main meals were very generous indeed and very tasty. I ordered the duck and it was well done. Just the right portion size. My partner ordered the chicken cacciatore and it was most definitely a large plate of food that we ended up sharing! I'd definitely come back here again!

My partner and I ate here as a first date night since our baby was born and it was absolutely fantastic! Great atmosphere, lovely hosts. The food was exceptional. We both had the steaks & even now its all I am thinking about. The steaks were a great quality cut & cooked to perfection. Hats off to the chefs, best meal in the shire so far!

I had my 50th Birthday at Rocksalt last night. The atmosphere was excellent, the staff could not do enough for us. We were a large party of 30 and the food came out with perfect timing and I must say considering this would have put quite a bit of pressure on the chefs, the food was faultless!! Every one of my friends said the food was cooked to fine dining perfection, and they cant wait to get back there. Thank you Carol and the team at Rocksalt for giving us the most amazing dining experience. We'll be back soon!

We walked in without a reservation, and were lucky to get a table for two, as by 7pm the restaurant was full! The floor staff were young, but attentive. The vibe in the restaurant was wonderful, and the food delicious. We'll be back to try more items off the menu! The specials' board also looked impressive.

Great tasty menu, byo wine, plenty of room to move around, clean and well presented. Friendly staff who serve well portioned meals.

We had a fabulous evening at the Rocksalt on the evening of the 1st March. We were a party of 8 , we arrived at 6pm and and left at 9.45pm the service was faultless the food was fantastic.. Carrol we'll be back, Thank you John.

Disappointed been three times and each time some of our meals were unacceptable, the staff rude when you highlight problems. The service and quality of food much better down road at Union Hotel.

We’ve been here countless times and the food is always amazing! Big serving sizes so beware because it’s so easy to over order. Large selection of dishes to choose from. Friendly staff

Dinner last night with a couple of friends and I've been to this place umpteen times. Had the beef tenderloin with caramelised onion, potato rosti and Gorgonzola cream. Best thing I've eaten in ages. Almost licked my plate. For $28 unbelievable value. Great service too. No wonder this place is packed on a Friday night. For a little suburban joint they do amazingly well. Definitely coming back. Awesome.

My Valentine & I had the most scrumptious meal. Our favourite was the Garlic Prawns � but truly it was all wonderful and the staff were lovely the decor' is so intimate & cosy.

Went for Hubby's birthday. Carpeted floor. Tables not squashed together and tables seated throughout the restaurant not clumped together. Service was attentive and polite. Meals arrived quickly. Good size servings. I had the pork saltimbocca, hubby had the veal marsala and girls had kids steak and calamari. Also had a salad and onion rings. Everything was delicious and I could not fault it. Clean plates all round. The only suggestion that I have is to vary the kids menu and have vegies with less chips on the plate. Overall, thumbs up all round.

We are only ever blown away by the taste, quality and service at Rocksalt Jannali. Best value and fantastic food, and the kids meals are excellent! There’s also the added bonus of those amazing cocktails! Thank you - time and time again �

Always a pleasure to dine here at Rocksalt. Great food and service. We are always made to feel so welcome! The beef cheeks are one of my favourites. This is one of my favourite restaurants.

Visited last Saturday with family friends and found it quite enjoyable. I felt a little restricted with food choices being a vegetarian, however I expect it at most restaurants. I ordered the gnocchi without capers and was delicious! Would definitely come again

The food is always fabulous and the service has been great whenever we have gone. Well worth it.

They went out of their way to fit us in despite being fully booked, and even sent out a birthday plate with candle as I'd mentioned it was my birthday. The food was delicious - and BYO is a great option as we were able to take a long a nice bottle we'd been cellaring for ages. Really enjoyed our visit - will definitely be back.

My family had dinner here tonight for my Mum's birthday. The food was great & The service was excellent. We'll definitely be back!!!

Great food and excellent service from friendly attentive staff.

Upon arrival we were barked out and lectured by head waitress (older woman with blonde hair). Our table was right in front of the entrance and basically in the middle of a thoroughfare of foot traffic and noise. Like anyone typically would, we asked if we could sit by the window where the tables were vacant, we were basically told off for asking and lectured that they were already reserved, our only choice was the one given or the other right on staircase. We booked online about a week prior and there was no choice for table seating. We both didn’t know whether to laugh or snap back at her. We are both professional people and would normally have spent more, we just wanted to get out’ve there. The food was nice, the other staff were friendly, but the venue has terrible table positions and how she spoke to us upon arrival ruined the experience. We won’t be returning.

Really enjoyed the dinning experience here with great service and great food. Yes it was noisy but so is most places today. We had the veal scallopini, seafood hotpot and the barramundi all were excellent. They also had a good gf menu as well. We will return.

Been there a few times because of the nice food. But, when the place gets full, it's too noisy, and we just need to get out asap. Recommend going a lunchtime. Be prepared to shout across your table during busy times....

The meals are very generously portioned and there is many different options available on the menu. We have been here more than once, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The food is also very tasty!

A great venue serving high quality food with friendly staff. We go here reasonably regularly and have never been disappointed. The menu does not change that often, but there are usually some great specials and there is plenty of variety on it. The servings are generous without being over the top. The steps up are a bit of a challenge if you have elderly diners with you, but otherwise - it is fantastic.

Great food, great service. <br/>The restaurant is a bit hidden on the first floor, the atmosphere was cheerful, the service was friendly and prompt, the food was delicious and the cocktails were surprisingly good. We will definitely be back soon.

We'll be back. Solid neighbourhood Italian. Nice upmarket option for Jannali. <br/><br/>We shared haloumi, chorizo, capsicum, tapenade & crostini for entree. Mains were salmon fillet and spaghetti marinara. Tiramisu for dessert. Everything cooked as it should be and quite delicious.<br/><br/>Will be back to try more pasta dishes and their cocktails.

Food here is amazing especially the deserts! I highly recommend the brownie!!
