So many years ago, I went in and got takeaway. More than a decade ago. From then on, I vowed never to return, never.
But time has healed and given the prospect of having yum cha on a workday lunch proved to be too strong
Off I go and tried them out. Sceptical as there were no carts being pushed around. However, everything came out really piping hot and freshly made.
So it turns out they make the yum cha to order, sure there’s a longer wait, but it is worthwhile.
The ingredients are fresh and after the meal there isn’t the normal need to guzzle down a gazillion litres of water due to the salt or msg overdose.
The 4 star rating is because of the variety and probably the lack of yum cha atmosphere
I had a great experience at China View in Kenmore and I have ate here multiple times since. The food was tasty and good value. Service was efficient. I think they changed owners since the previous reviews. The owner and the staff were very friendly and accomodating. Would recommend the food here whether dining in or getting takeaway.
New manager, great food and quite friendly staff. I had been to china view previously when the manager was a middle aged moody woman and the experience had been average, with average service, but there is this lovely young woman who is the manager now and she came over to our table throughout the night to make sure everything was okay and to taste, and answered any questions we had regarding food. They were more than happy to make adaptions to meals for our kids (and us). Some new dishes were on the menu and tasted more authentic. Looks like new management has done them really well! been back twice since. Highly recommend it.
