Just discovered a gem in our neighbour hood. Drove past and noticed lots of people so thought I’d give it a go. So glad I did. Delicious coffee, quaint decor, nice music, very clean. Fabulous selection of pastries. Being a baker myself, I find it difficult to get quality pastries in Perth. Most bakeries take shortcuts like lining tart shells in chocolate so they can last more than one day without going soggy, but that is not a true tart. Or they use premixes for cakes, so they don’t taste authentic. Had an almond croissant and hubby had a passion fruit tart. Both were excellent! Service was prompt and friendly. Breakfast menu looks good, as does the lunch menu. Will definitely be coming back to sample other things. So happy I found this place.

Nice and busy little cafe with some yum GF cakes to have with your coffee. I had the GF choc brownie, which was nicely rich and chocolatey. Other half had orange-almond GF friand-type of cake, which, going by the small section I was allowed, was quite moist, soft, and yummy. The music playing in the background is some cool jazz.
Nice place. Would come back.

Visited this place for brekky today after decent reviews on Zomato.
We were welcomed immediately after we opened the door and were seated straight away and menus given.
Ordered Almond croissant, Long Mac & Latte which were served well. Coffees were delicious & so was the croissant. Well done barista!
For main brekky we ordered Huevos Ranchero served with 2 tortilla (would have loved a 3rd one) & Avocado, roast tomato on multigrain toast with scrambled eggs (swapped from poached). Huevos Ranchero was full or flavour with beans and chorizo qas succulent with well poached eggs floating on top of avo smash. The flame grilled chilli garnished on top made it extra special. The roast tomatoes and scrambled eggs were delicious too. Also took away orange & almond cake which was good.
Food: 5/5
Service: 5/5
Ambience: 4/5
Recommendation to management: In the menu, please add "Extras" field with costs for extra bread/eggs/beans/avocado etc.
Overall a great little place to have brekky!
Will return.

It is a really nice and secluded café in the area. It is quite small so it is private. The toasties and their big breakfast is our choice this time but the highlight of our visit has to be the tart! The sour cherry and raspberry tarts are to die for! They are not too sweet but also not too tangy and the custard is perfect with good pastry. This place would be perfect unlike any other crowded brunch places!

Average big breakfast which didn't have the usual mushrooms but had baked beans instead. Bread slices were tiny. A well known place for the tarts & a friend of mine drives a fair distance to get a fresh almond croissant. Nice seats and cool decor. You can even watch your meal being cooked in the back of the store.

Really nice cafe for Kensington locals. Small inside with adequate outdoor seating + water bowls for dogs.
Saturday mornings are breaky central at most places so we decided to get there a bit early today to avoid a crowd. We each ordered the avo, roast tomato + poached eggs on toast (one serve with wholegrain, one with Strange Grains gluten-free toast). Eggs were perfectly soft, avo was perfectly ripe and the tomato was perfectly roasted and not soggy.
Also ordered a takeaway almond croissant which other reviewers raved about. Gigantic and fresh, it was just an ordinary croissant - nothing OTT or different to the multitude of almond croissants I've had in the past and nowhere near the top of my faves list.
Coffees were also not en pointe. The long macchiato was served in a takeaway mug (you can bring your own) and tasted okay according to my breaky pal. My skinny capp looked the part -- a perfect ratio of foam to coffee -- but there was something about the taste that I didn't like. Instead of being a strong, full-flavoured morning brew, it had a weak odd taste that just didn't hit the spot and left me pining for a better cuppa elsewhere.
If they lifted their coffee game, George St could be a real little winner. As it stands, it's alright if there's nothing else available but I wouldn't go racing back.

Um ... Yum. We had a late breaky, early lunch after finishing off the move. The location is really all that lets this place down; roadside in the 'burbs. The service was ok, not overly friendly but not rude. The food though was great. We shared Mexican beans and jamon with potato tortilla. Both were superb. Mr 13 had bacon and eggs while the vegetarian had haloumi and salad. Milkshake and iced chai all round. Because we were full of good food we took some delicious sweet bits and pieces home for later. I had lemon tart, he had apricot, the boy had a brownie and she had strawberry tart. All were to die for. Yum!

Not too far from the Albany Highway restaurant strip lies this hidden away suburban French cafe serving breakfast and lunch. Being a sucker for sweet things, baked goods, and pastries, I was interested in seeing what was on offer from the patisserie section of the display cabinet. A range of tarts greeted me and I was immediately drooling over which ones to pick. In the end I chose the raspberry tart, Paris Brest, and also picked up an almond croissant as part of my takeaway order. The raspberry tart has a lovely thin pastry, firm enough to hold the contents of a delicious light creme patisserie which partners well with the raspberries. The Paris Brest has a lovely light choux pastry encasing a lovely light almond laden cream which is quite rich but tasty. I saved the almond croissant for breakfast the next day and loved the slightly crunchy on the outside croissant, covered in slivered almonds which make the croissant quite rich. A lovely local cafe to drop by for some baked goods or grab a bite in a cosy comforting cafe. There’s seating inside and out with a retractable plastic wall to shield patrons from the elements.

Lovely atmosphere and customer service. Enjoyed the low key aspect, which is very french. Great coffee and had the Eggs Florentine, which was good. Took home some yummy looking patisserie goodies for later.

My regular coffee spot as of late, used to go down to Hoopla but much prefer the coffee here. Good size serving for the price as well. I would of given 5 stars but the Cinnamon scrolls don't have the traditional cream cheese frosting so I had to deduct a single star. If this cafe decide to add the frosting I will amend my review. Keep it up guys Inspector X

Ordered one of the eggs benedict options - advocado and roasted tomato, swapped out the bread for a croissant, really tasty and quick service.

A bustling local cafe with well presented and tasty breakfasts. Staff are a little shy, but the food speaks for itself.

Pretty good over all. Great service. Croissants were pretty average, I wouldn't recommend getting it if you're an enthusiast. Eggs Benedict was pretty good. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and light. Personally I like the sauce to have a bit more lemon/vinegar in it to help offset the saltiness of the ham. I think maybe infusing a bit of dill as well would elevate the meal over all. The bread for it was fantastic. Egg cooked perfectly. Ham was nice and gave a decent amount of it as well. Over all would recommend giving it ago. I think their toasties would be the way to go as the bread I had was really enjoyable and honestly what I will remember of the cafe

Staff that listen with ZERO ATTITUDE!! There are MANY other restaurants in Perth that could use this business for training their own staff. Delicious food and generous portions. Just overall an EXCELLENT cafe.
