So many choices when looking for a vineyard in the King Valley Region. Gracebrook was recommended to me and I'm so glad we decided to stop by.
An amazing horse stable conversion originally built in the 1880s. Stunning views of the surrounding vineyard and countryside are the perfect backdrop while sipping on a glass or two (photos don't do it justice.)
The menu here changes on a daily basis and after a wine tasting our group started with a delicious sharing platter which was huge!!! We also tried the pan fried Gnocchi with mushroom, prosciutto, kale, tomato and asparagus. A tasty meal indeed. My glass of Gracebrook Sangiovese preservative free wine accompanied my meal perfectly.
The stable conversion is amazing, even including a kids play area and seating within the actual stables. The vineyard also comprises many farm animals, a sandpit, bocce court and plenty of space for the kids to run around.
Service was very friendly and efficient and they checked up on us regularly. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the King Valley region.
We loved visiting Gracebrook, what a charming and welcoming place to visit. We spent a leisurely time wine tasting, visiting the animals on the property and then having lunch. The staff where so welcoming and even set up an extra heater at our table as we were drop ins that day - no booking. We loved the menu and the obviously well considered flavours on each plate, along with the knowledge that everything served was paddock to plate. Thank you for a lovely day!

When you can't decide what to have - you must have a Tasting Platter with the lot!. Yes, it's open on Easter Sunday and there was a live musician singing romantic classic hits that cascaded around the chattering dining tables basking in the mild sunshine. They were placed beneath of the boughs of historic shade trees with branch spans the size of a small village and with views across the green lawns, the Autumn vineyard and the farmyard setting. This is a smaller winery and while it was busy it bustled like a larger restaurant, rather than the fair ground style of Pizzini's nearby. The Tasting Platter comes with two parts ($38 - perfect for two, nibbles for three). One is a plate of crusty breads, gruzzini, rice crackers, water crackers and Jatz. The scene stealer - salad, carrots, celery, cucumber, Roma tomatoes, creamy cheese wedges, smoked trout, salami, ham, condiments, olives ... when you see the platters arrive on other tables I'm sure the other menu choices feel very lonely. Taste the wines then make a selection for lunch, then return to the outdoor tasting verandah and go again for your next glass - a charming and practical way to enjoy the tasting experience.
