Review Thai Fusion - Kirribilli

MN
They have the best satay chicken. The chicken breast meat were freshly grilled , very juicy and tender. The glass noodle dish was not as spicy and zesty as what I am used to. Portions are large and so are the price.

It's bad gastronomic experiences like these that cement my belief that vegans have no place across the bridge..... and this place was barely across the bridge. It was a perfect warm COVIDy day for a picnic below the bridge in Kirribilli looking back at the lovely patch of land that is "not across the bridge". We thought we'd accompany this with some delicious Thai. We got a pad see ewe, a Papaya salad and "dim Sim". We were literally the only ones who ordered take away and these all came out very ordinary. The pad was very gluggy, it was voluminous but just stodgy and flavourless. The papaya salad was ok but nothing special. The dim sum (???) looked cool but was just ordinary. But the one thing they all had in common was that they were terribly sweet. The first few bites were ok, but that terrible sugary after taste kept building and building. Seagull food. Should've stayed where we came from .... Or ordered from the Thai joint that wasn't deserted.

I often eat here as the food is always fresh, never overcooked and the service and price is amazing. If you are a local you need to visit 100%.

Food is really good, unfortunately they dont have the pad thai that time!

The best Thai food I have had in Sydney BY MILES. Incredibly fresh and very flavorful. No wonder why there are always queues outside this place that go round the block. Very very impressed

I don't recommend this place. I ordered a laksa but could not eat it as it was so so sweet it was sickly. The waiter comes to clear our bowls and doesn't even venture to ask how was the food. I said it was too sweet and he just said sorry and left taking a full bowl away. But that's not the worst part. My mum is a senior and I am a nursing student. With a small budget we decided to each use our NSW dine and discovery vouchers and treat ourselves to a rare dinner out. When we came in we asked if they accepted them and they said yes. Then when we went to pay they said only ONE of us could use our dine and discover vouchers. They said it was because they would not allow split bills. There were only 2 of us. Ridiculous do not go, the food bad and they have no care for the customer nor soul. If you are in the area and have dine and discover I suggest the pizzeria up the road as we went there last year and they allowed us to each use our vouchers to pay.

Meals stand out in flavour and is non-greasy. Pad Thai and Pad See Ew noodles were cooked wonderfully and covered in mouth-watering juicy vegetables, tofu and sauce. Portions are great and the food quality is worth the price. Also, loved how the place was quite spacey compared to other restaurants on the street. Can't wait for more deliciously filling meals !

Just moved to Katoomba and a local person recommended trying Thai Fusion. Lovely lady serving, helpful, great attitude and knowledge of menu. Chef was very obliging and welcoming of new local customer. Food was delicious, fresh, tasty & generous. I highly recommend Thai Fusion if visiting Katoomba

The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, the pad see ew & pad kee mao were the best we have both had in a very long time! We ordered the vegan options and were delighted to see that 95% their menu can be made vegan.

Every dish was well thought out, bursting with unbelievable flavours. Love that they use only fresh ingredients and produce. Highly recommended!

It's a small restaurant, with amazing real Thai food. So worth it!

The massamum lamb curry was pretty good,my friends roast pork curry,he said it didn’t have much veges in it. Poh piah is definitely not what I kind of it,I just got something that was a rice paper roll from a Vietnamese place, poh piah from Malaysia/Singapore is more like a lightly cooked spring roll. Very disappointed about this! Also it’s expensive. Haven’t seen prices this high before!

The curry was really flavourful , delicate with fennel leaves and not overpowering fish/ oyster sauce. Will definitely visit again !

Fresh and flavourful. Greatly enjoyable and will certainly come back. We enjoyed in particular the Soft Shell Crab, the Lamb Pancakes and the Pad Thai. Highly recommended.

The food here is just ok, however it is definitely overpriced for what it is, you can get better Thai in the city

The seating however is atrocious, small uncomfortable stools with very little space between tables. This would not be an issue if the pricing was reasonable, however if paying over 20 for pad Thai I expect to be able to eat in comfort.

Also, everyone's entrees and mains were servrd at different times.

In short this place is trying to be something it is not
Simply the best Thai food I have had in Sydney. Have eaten here many times, the staff are always polite and attentive and the food has never disappointed. It is probably the best place to eat in Kirribilli, only two down sides 1. is the beer selection, could be a bit broader with more European choices. 2. It is very popular, and can get busy, but that is a sign of a great restaurant

We ordered pan fried salmon and vegetarian fried rice with eggs and tofu. And asked them to make it spicy.
The food was very flavourful and service was very polite.
The chef is an award winning one! So I am not surprised the food was good. The light soy based gravy that the fish came in was absolutely delicious , albeit a bit sweet. Yumm. A bit over priced but given the location, I don’t think they have much of a choice. Will come again...

They make a lovely thai yellow curry and rice. Piping hot, fresh, authentic, nice vibe to the restaurant. Easily one of the best Milsons Point has to offer.

They have cheaper lunch deals which is a plus. Also very knowledgeable about veganism and a large portion of their menu can be made vegan. I felt the dinner prices were quite high, but then again it is Kirribilli and most restaurants will be at this price point. Food was decent but not out of this world. Wouldn't mind popping back in if in the area.

So happy I walked in here because the food and service are great!
The pad Thai was on point and they didn't fill it with useless veggies like onions where 90% of the dish is made up of this.
In a great location which is walking distance from an awesome view of the harbour bridge.
Prices were good too and the wait was super quick.
Would definitely recommend this place to family and friends and would eat here everyday for lunch if I wasn't going to get fat!

A bit of a disappointment. After a long day at work and feeling like something yummy, Thai Fusion just didn't meet that need! Penang curry beef- beef tough, veggies flavourless- taste like they were frozen and just put in curry at the end- no flavour. I've had a lot better for a lot cheaper. Sadly won't return.

Food is very tasty. Its one of those places which surprise you with the food.

I had Pad Hockeein and it was very tasty. My wife had Red curry which was also delicious.

A little expensive but brilliant food. Priyanka11

The soft shell crab at That Fusion is one of the best Thai dishes around. You'll pay a little bit extra compared to your usual Thai spot but it's worth it. The only place that does Thai food better is Longrain in Melbourne but you'll pay a lot more for it
Marika
We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant's ability to make 95% of their dishes vegan. We were two vegans in a party of four and decided to make the whole order vegan and share. All the dishes were well seasoned and the service was attentive but not bothersome. Overall, I would visit the restaurant again if I'm in the area and craving Thai.
Chris
Nice decor and ambience with open view of Harbour Bridge pedestrian stairs.
Had #24 Stir Fry Vegies with Squid which was faultless although the menu layout for the options is confusing...
Chicken Pad Thai was also decent.
Good sized portions and just enough spice.
Does not accept card payments less than$30 and no split bills

Service was fast (even on a busy Friday night) and accommodating. The portions are huge compared to the other Thai restaurants along the strip.
The menu has some classic stir fries, curries and soups. Food quality was good and not too oily.
The pineapple fried rice was packed with flavour and the pad Thai was good.
Takeaway orders are also made fast and hot.

Went here last night before walking across the bridge. Food came quickly, large portions and I eventually had to admit defeat and to my eternal shame leave some behind. If there weren't another two Thai places in the area, I'd come back here next time I'm in the area. But I'll definitely be back again some time...

I'm not sure what's so fusion about it? It's a little mis-leading as it's basically traditional with a few 'fusion' dishes. However, I shouldn't be so negative the the Tung Tong (one of the fusion dishes) was worth picking.

If I'm ever back in Sydney I would probably come back and visit. Maybe just change the name....not the food. The food is good :)

Lovely Thai food, fresh, tasty & value for money. The wait staff where great and we enjoyed it so much we had dinner there twice. A good blend of old & new Thai flavours. Definitely coming back next time we are in town.

Best Thai in Sydney.
The Massaman Beef is to die for.
The Soft Shell Crab divine.
The vegetarian dumplings were melt in the mouth.
The Duck red curry could not have more delicious......
The staff are sweethearts!
The pictures above do it no justice whatsoever.
Love the place!

We selected Thai Fusion as it looked the most authentic Thai restaurant along the Kirribilli restaurant strip, and it didn't disappoint in most parts
I unfortunately didn't take any pictures, but highly recommended trying vegetation dim sim - unlike any dim sim i've eaten in Sydney. The Salmon Choo Chee was was also a hit. With the Pet Op a major miss, the duck was far too fatty with a combination of flavours that just don't work together.

Average at best. The food is average at best, so don't believe the hype.
Anyone who thinks otherwise does not know much about food (yes seriously)
You need to cross the bridge into Surry Hills if you really need to eat good Thai/

Been here twice in one week because the food was so good. I did walk around to see the others in the area but I find this the most authentic looking in terms of how the dishes are presented, the rest seem to be modernised. Everything ordered taste fantastic and seafood very fresh!

having dinner with friends in a crowded restaurant is fantastic, the energy levels are high & the company is throughly enjoyed. we all chatted the night away & before i knew it, i was back over the bridge & in my pjs within 15 minutes. kirribilli is not as bad as i imagined, thankfully.
Carla
Eaten here many times and enjoyed it. Tonight ordered takeaway, didn't get what I ordered, worms in the broccoli and snow peas were off and to top it off container was half full for $16 vegetables! Terrible

Food was excellent, service was pretty ordinary

Stayed in kirribilli whilst up from Melbourne. Great little suburb dominated by Thai food! Tried out a few of the local eateries (some hits, many misses like some other Thai places and a burger joint that was too cheesy and a real let down) so needed to give props to Thai fusion for a great meal. Fresh , colourful and loads of flavour. Moderately and competitively priced. Thumbs up

Disappointed. Bought a pie on the way home to cheer myself up.

Great little Thai place. Tucked away in the middle of Concrete and Steel jungle literally, next to the ramp of Sydney Harbour Bridge, just a great location.
But we are there for lunch, from the many visits there, food is standard Thai menu, great presentation, always enjoyable and I'm sure next time in Sydney we will visit again.
I can handle spicier Tom Yum Goong Chef.
Perfect when the weather is not too hot.
Alex Troyak
Lunch menu generally lucks any flavour, pretty ordinary for Thai food place. Not in the rush to come back.

Not bad!

Quite a surprise. Was very pleased in our choice of restaurant along this busy strip in Kirribilli, The entree we choose was lamb pancake for two, and slightly expensive option it was delight two pretty pancakes filled with delicious lamb cut into small pieces with taste thai style sauce slightly sweet but chilli sauce. A fusion indeed. Our mains included prawns with chilli and basil and roast duck with tamarind sauce, both beautiful dishes, served with rice. The prawns were plump and large, coated in simple batter which was soaked in the sauce. The roast duck was cut into strips on a bed of sauce and cashews, shallots and iceberg lettuce catching the sauce. The meal was washed down with a bottle of 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Semillon from Lost Lake. Pemberton. food was $70.

Cold beer, fast friendly service and decent Thai food. You won't be dissapointed.
