Girls night out last night at Kluska Polish Restaurant. What a little gem!
Five of us arrived hungry, and ready for a fun night full of chat and laughter.
We were met by the warm and smiling staff who made us most welcome.
We loved everything about this place. The staff, the ambience and the FOOD, oh the food! We were fortunate to be able to sample many of the wonderful pierogi by sharing, and share we did. We probably could have made a whole meal of these yummy little dumplings, however main course and dessert still beckoned. Somehow we managed to try 3 or 4 main courses between us, and
we are still raving about the schnitzel and the cabbage rolls. Simply delicious.
Determined to try some desserts as well, we ordered the Polish Jam Donuts and the Knadle, both were to die for. We ended the night with coffees of many types and flavours. What a treat.
Basia, the delightful owner, saw us out, but not before we had enjoyed a little chat about her home country, and told her we voted the food the best we had eaten over 30 odd years of nights out together.
We are looking forward to enjoying it all again, sometime in the New Year, when
Kluska has relocated to its shiny new premises in Knox.
All the best for the imminent move Basia and staff, you are awesome!
Upon walking into Kluska I was greeted by two lovely smiling staff members. All I wanted was some simple take-away. Expecting a small choice of day old bain-marie offerings, I was delighted to be told I had the full choice of the restaurant menu and my meal would be prepared fresh.
After a heavy workout at the gym, I could eat just about anything and everything.
The menu offers a lot of choice and variety of Polish cuisine, with many types of Pierogi. I am indecisive, so I was kindly able to order 2 main servings of Pierogi with varying selection of flavours. I was directed to a posh chair and offered a beverage while I waited. In the mean time I was entertained by Polish music and one of the lovely staff members and no sooner was my take-away ready.
A true test to the authenticity of these dumplings would prove to be quite filling. After knocking back 10 I was completely and utterly full. The starving large 6ft 3 giant that walked in was defeated by only 10 of Kluska's delicious pierogi. I may have a small bias towards Polish food but Kluska definitely delivered on quality and was able to make me feel like I was in Poland. I will definitely be back again :)
Had a great meal tonight. The food was so fresh, tasty & vary traditional! Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to try Polish food.
