Dined at Colenso for our staff Christmas dinner - was a lovely quaint little place to meet. Quiet atmosphere, friendly and accommodating staff and delicious food made the evening all the more enjoyable. Though the food menu is a little limited, they did cater to vegetarians and gluten free diets. Portion size was good, and taste was exceptional. Especially loved the strawberry sorbet! Although they didn't serve Sprite, I ♥️♥️♥️'d their home-made lemonade 😉. Well be back again with the family.
Another lovely place to eat in Kynton! As a small restaurant you are guaranteed personalised service. A limited menu (the wine list is significantly larger than meal list) but everything that was ordered was excellent.
Very friendly, welcoming. Loved the retro style furniture complete with old oil heaters.

Excellent experience from the time you are greeted at the door until you leave. Highly recommend if you are looking for great food, great wine and great service. A very special evening out.
We called in to Colenso after a big day away from home. I was planning to order a side salad and steamed vegetables because I was on a very restrictive food plan (thanks to my health practitioner). But the chef came out and asked about my needs and made something from scratch. I felt very nurtured and grateful. We visited for mothers day lunch too and it was wonderful, leaving our whole family raving. We continue to call in whenever we can. It's fantastic.
Best steak I’ve had in a long time, amazing chocolate mousse. Gluten free options, and they knew how to cater for Coeliacs. Nice wine too!
Had the filet steak, partner had the salmon.
They were both fabulous so we opted in for dessert, strawberry gelato and the apple tart.
Well it was the best dinner experience we had both had in a long time.
Fantastic food!
So lovely. A delicious meal, an excellent local wine list. Such pleasing easy hospitality. Very much worth the couple of extra dollars.
