Visited Bare Grill on spec expecting the ordinary. We ordered the Grilled Barra Chips & Salad. The meal was great, the value good, the service friendly and attentive. The experience surprisingly excellent. A nice Fathers' Day dinner. Thank You.

One of the original founders of Sydney's burger scene, Bare Grill is infamous for it's consistancy, quality and generous servings. Their location in ideallic La Parouse overlooking the magnificent Botany Bay on an almost Spring-like Saturday was how the wife and I wound up here on the last weekend in August.
Took ages to decide what burger I wanted, settled on the 'Cure' and the wife the 'Son of a Cockfighter'. Also got a soda of mac n cheese croquettes, because the wife has this problem where she can't say no to mac and cheese.
The croquettes were good. Crispy crumb which made a nice crunch and the mac n cheese was thick, creamy and good. Personally I felt like a dash of cayenne pepper wou have gone amiss in the cheese sauce.
Burgers were phenomenal. Sitting in the park, soaking up the Ray's whilst eating. Beef is phenomenal - possible the best beef on a burger I've had ever. Thick, juicy, well seasoned flame grilled patties cooked medium rare with a little bit of pink inside. So good to see that. Juicy delicious beef patties that you could eat on their own. The rest of the burger worked really well. Very cheese and the bare sauce was pretty tasty. American cheese held the burger together like food glue so reduced the messiness notch.
The wife loved the cockfighter burger, commenting on how fresh the chicken patties were and flavorful the coleslaw was.
The fries were phenomenal. Hot, crispy fried season in this almost cajun spice. Makes a nice change from plain old chicke salt.
A bit pricy, with the two burger meals and croquettes coming to a tick over $60, but for a once in a while treat/date you don't mind it when the quality is as good as Bare Grills. They're an industry leader for their quality, and their food is sensational and worth the prices. Will be back.
I’ve heard a lot of great things about this place so I wanted to come here and try their milkshakes. I ordered the golden gay time one and was shocked by how big the milkshake was. It was $15 which is definitely expensive for a drink but it was literally the size of a meal... it included a whole golden gaytime ice cream as well.
