This is the first 100% gluten free cafe we've been too. After two visits; everything we've eaten so far has been exquisite. Ontop of just having gluten free food the shop is a very welcoming environment and every single member of the staff has been a pleasure to deal with.
And to top it off you dont pay the gluten free tax that most other cafe's like to charge.

We're going back for dinner tonight and can't wait.
Did some researching on line & found this cafe, it was absolutely fantastic! So glad we came here for breakfast. It was such a relief to not have to worry about what menu items I could or couldn't eat as everything was gluten free!!! & the food itself was absolutely scrumptious!! We had a bunsky, mushrooms on toast & little breakfast. The food was so great we even took some bunsky for a takeaway lunch
We stumbled across it accidentally and was taken in by the quirkiness, friendliness and welcoming atmospheres. We had bunsky with bacon and scrambled eggs which was superb and far too much too eat it all! My hubby loved the coffee ( he is fussy with that). And the next time we went we tried the waffles! Funny thing we didn’t even realise it was a gluten free menu till leaving. Thoroughly recommend this cafe
My girlfriend and I just had the Eggs Benny this morning and all I can say, that it was f**king delicious and my breakfast made me so happy! If Gordon Ramsey was to ever come here and gave a poor review I would happily fight him in the carpark! By far the best place in town Breakfast & Lunch.
Best gluten free brownie I have ever tasted (even if it was the corner piece )
Customer service is exceptional as is the coffee and I'll be in to taste test more very soon!! So glad I found this place and will recommend to everyone!
I hadn't been before but the rave reviews were right! Great food (AMAZING homemade hash browns), great service and I love the homey feel. Highly recommend the turkish delight hot chocolate!
A random google search led me to this place. Thank you, Google. Without you, I wouldn’t have come across the amazingly welcoming people that run this place. Love the pay-it-forward option. Eggs and avo breakfast a winner! Can’t wait to visit again!
Went in for a chai latte, the latte was one of the best chai lattes I've had, not too sweet nor bitter, highly recommend this cafe
My absolute favourite cafe. Everything this gluten free, eliminating the stress of finding meals. The staff are super sweet an attentive. You can even pay it forward when you pay to buy a coffee for someone less fortunate. Definitely recommend these guys!!
All my years of shopping trips to launy, I had no idea this existed! Hubby & I discovered it just this morning and had the most awesomest ( is that a word? Lol) breakfasts. Freshest food, fantastic service in a stunning little spot. Do yourself a favour and seek this place out. We will definitely be back!
Thank You!
Just wanted to say how amazing and friendly the staff at this cafe is!! Everything is 100% gluten free and so yummy!! They were just simply amazing to me!! First time in Tasmania and they made me feel so welcome!! Definitely will return here before I leave Thankyou!! Xx
My daughter and I were there for breakfast this morning , loved every thing about the place. Wonderful friendly staff, beautiful food and décor awesome. We will return..
Food was so good, that I went back today and had take aways. Awesome food, great service and coffee to die for.
Just wanted to say how amazing was our experience at this café. Everything is 100% gluten free and so yummy!! The staff were awesome! We need more places like this.
Best staff and best service in town without a doubt!! Love calling in for my coffee on the way to work on Wednesdays
Staff go above and beyond for the customers, the whole place is just gorgeous and the food, well, I don’t have many words except that its exceptional
Friendly service in an eclectic atmosphere. Best part.... I had my very celiac friend and we did not have to spend forever checking the menu, it is all gluten free. Top marks!
Our last stop in Launceston before travelling to Hobart had to be Samuel Pepy’s Cafe. At their newly occupied location of 106 George Street, Launceston the eccentric 100% gluten free cafe is a must do. Serving up modern cuisine in an antique homestead convert. From the plush chairs to the spoon collection adorning the walls, the atmosphere is fun and eclectic.
Been here a few times now, food always good and staff friendly, it has however moved from Yorktown Square to 106 George Street, still the same eclectic furnishings even the spoons made the transfer :)
This is a great place. We went there for breakfast and loved it. Eggs cooked how they should be cooked and the coffee was so good. Quirky decor and friendly staff. You need to check out the spoon collection.
Gluten free heaven! More than happy to help with any dietary requirements. Friendly owner who loves a good chat. ‘Pay it forward coffee’ to donate a cuppa to those less fortunate. Massive teaspoon collection. Open Fridays and Saturdays for dinner 6pm-8:30pm. Loved it here and returned a number of times. Will be back next time I’m in Launnie and would highly recommend this place!
Fantastic food for both gluten free eaters and all you wheat eaters.
The Big Breakfast was amazing with homemade hash browns eggs sausages mushrooms spinach bacon and tomatoes.
The Waffles with fresh strawberries, maple syrup and ice cream were delicious...would never have known they were gluten free.
Wish there was a place like this in Indooroopilly in Brisbane.
As a Celiac traveling overseas it's always a bit nerve racking trying to find places to eat. What a wonderful find Samuel Pepy's Cafe was! The staff were friendly, the food was excellent, and because everything they serve is gluten free, there's no worry about cross contamination. I had the battered fish and chips and the salted caramel iced latte – so delicious! I would highly recommend.
Best breaky that we've had in Launceston so far. We started with some incredible coffees followed by the big breakfast and smashed avo. Great flavours and great service. Thanks team!
I came to experience warm and genuine hospitality wherever I go in Launceston and if I were to rate them all, the lovely and sweet people at Samuel Pepy's Cafe most likely will come out top. The whole cafe is decorated with vintage stuff and has a wall dedicated to old teaspoons. Up the old rickety stairs to the upstairs seating area and you are greeted with colouring books for both adults and kids to pass time while you wait for your meal. The heavily buttered salmon and egg bunsky with sour cream was a decadent treat masquerading as a healthy breakfast. The mixed mushroom on toast with spinach was definitely the healthier sibling. Washed it all down with a mug of skinny latte, which was unfortunately a bit weak, and we are all set for an adventure. PS - the peanut butter cookie is absolutely ffffing delicious, it's like eating solidified peanut butter.
Best breakfast we had in Tasmania. Best lunch we had in Tasmania. Excellent service. None better. So good we went back for more. Do yourself a favor and support an excellent establishment.
Diners from Perth WA. Wonderful service, wonderful food, fantastic family run establishment and to top it off the best 100% gluten free produce I have ever had, even if you are not GF you will be amazed at this quaint cafe. We had breakfast here two days in a row, travelling on now otherwise would be back again tomorrow!
Talk about a hearty breakfast! Had a big brekkie and a 'little brekkie', which was made vego with ease. I think garlic-herb mash needs to be a staple in my breakfast forever more; so yum! Great range of tasty teas, decent coffee and a milkshake in a stein the size of the drinker's head!
Lovely atmosphere, laid back and friendly service, and I love the cute touch of the wind up toys as table numbers.
Not a coeliac myself, didn't miss gluten here because the GF bread was good. Can imagine my coeliac friends would love this.
