Ate here for breakfast and dinner while we were in Launceston - great location and good service, dinner and breakfast were delicious but the coffee wasn’t the best!
My family and I were on vacation, staying at the adjoined Penny Royal Inn. We ended up visiting the Kings Bridge 3-times during our short stay. First, we stopped in for breakfast. My wife's eggs Benedict was delicious. I had a crab and brie omelette (a daily special), and it was loaded with crab meat and delicious brie. The next day we ended up there for dinner. It was a Friday night, and the place was booked out. They had a table for 2 free, and were more than accommodating for our party of 2.5 (the 0.5 is our 2 year old son). The staff were prompt, friendly, and happily brought over blank paper and crayons to occupy our son. My steak was cooked perfectly, although could have been seasoned a little better. My wife's pork belly was superb, with crispy crackling, and the fat rendered out perfectly. There was live music on that night in the pub half (which was alright with me, and the best thing EVER for our 2 year old), so we stuck around for a pint after dinner. Surprisingly, for a hotel pub, there seemed to be a fair few locals, which is usually a sign of a good pub. We ended up there for lunch on our last day in Launceston, which, again didn't disappoint. The pulled brisket was smoky, and the Caesar salad was fantastic. If you find yourself in Launceston, want a quality pub meal, with friendly service, and a good beer to wash it down, then stop in for a meal and a drink.
