Lovely Italian restaurant. Quick and friendly service, good food and reasonably priced. However did not have pizza 😩

Very nice seafood. The calamari was so tender. Very friendly service.

Visited for the first time tonight. From the booking stage through to the paying of the bill, it was a great dining experience. Despite being well patronised on the night, we (4) were welcomed as soon as we walked through the door. The staff were great, the food was fantastic and very well priced. Franco made a appearance to help out. Great night, very Italian, well recommended

Francos was excellent. The decor and atmosphere were great. It's right in the middle of Launceston CBD and walking distance from just about anywhere in the CBD (the CBD isn't particularly large). The menu is quite extensive and everything is made fresh. There was a good wine list too with both Tasmanian and Italian options. It's also BYO for wine only.

Here on holidays during Easter long weekend not many restaurants we’re opened for dinner. Went there last night and the food was amazing. My son liked his small pizza and I loved the carbonara and tiramisu. Best Tiramisu I’ve had for a long time. Grew up with Italian’s as my neighbours and know what good Italian food is And this restaurant ticks that box.👍

Beautiful restaurant with great food. Great pricing. The bruschetta was soggy due to using wrong type of bread. Bruschetta doesn't have cheese

Good food, reasonable prices. Seems like small family style business so service, although friendly, was a bit hit and miss.

Somewhat Lacking
The seating arrangement was far to collective, too many people in a small portion of the venue, quite a Covid risk.
The gluten-free options were limited to Pena, mains only, we were not told this at the time of ordering.
One had to stand to read the specials board and the waitress was no help, there was no pricing.
We had to ask for Parmesan cheese which is a standard offering in a true Italian restaurant as to are bread and olive oil in small portions.
The food was nothing special.
The extra charge for gluten options, as little as they are, is quite outdated and somewhat offensive.
As a true Italian restaurant Frankos is not up to the mark. Resting on your lorrels can become quite risky.

First had Franco's Spaghetti Puttanesca when I was fourteen and ten years later I still think nothing comes close to its perfection. I am also quite the fan of the Pescatora.Franco's has a great atmosphere with lovely staff and all the family working there. Always great to talk to Frank when he is there. Coming back to Launceston for the first time in a few years I can say it is one of my favorite places. Tastes just as good as I remember!

Went here for dinner, probably won't be going back. Vegetarian meals are not labelled well. Too expensive for pretty much stock standard pasta entree sizes.

TassieTourist. Found francos after a bit of googling, no reviews so we thought we'd give it a go. Atmosphere was pleasant, service was great, but the food was really not up to scratch, especially with mains around $30. That kind of, from a can type meal. Admittedly, only tried the chicken and scallops.
