Unfortunately the Iron House was shut the day we went there. But The Penny Royal is an amazing place! Set in the natural rock next to the Catract gorge it is breathtaking. When we left there after having had a great time on the activities, we went to the Josef Chromy winery and they told us that Josef had purchased the Penny Royal a few years prior and transformed the place into the attraction it is today!

We enjoyed a birthday lunch here with our brother and sister in law. The tasting paddles of beer were great as was the wine. Food was perfect for leisurely grazing with plenty of variety and options for our kids. Very reasonably priced, and lovely staff. We'll be back!
