Review The Plough Inn Launceston - Launceston

Here in Launceston for work and found this fantastic pub. Peter and the team couldnโ€™t have been anymore welcoming! So much so I ate there 3 days in row ! I donโ€™t usually leave reviews however I felt it was needed on this occasion! I have to say the quality of the food and the atmosphere felt like being home from home ! Keep up the good work! Thanks again guys I really appreciated the hospitality ๐Ÿ˜‰ Regards Tom

Just had the best "Pot and Parmi" special ever, on a lovely, sunny Wednesday night. The food was brilliant, the beer cold, fresh and choice of anything on tap. The pub is opposite Village Cinemas. Saw the locals pouring out after their films and into the pub, so knew it must be good!! My intuition was spot on๐Ÿ™‚.

We had read on numerous caravanning websites how great the duo of scallops were, so we thought we should give them a go. They were definitely right. Friday special $20. Absolutely delicious and the staff were wonderful. We also tried a new craft beer for $5.00. If you are in Launceston on a Friday we would definitely recommend them. Also the mixed grill looks like amazing.

The food was absolutely exquisite ๐Ÿ‘Œ the seafood platter was the best variety of seafood we have ever tasted. The Panko Prawns and Ginger Prawn Dumplings are a must to eat. The prices are amazingly good value. Finish off with a Kahlua Expresso Martini.... yum yum life is good ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ˜‹ In addition we would like to congratulate the owners on their excellent service.

On several occasions have had to wait too long for meals and when they have arrived they are not hot! Example fries/chips only just warm. I wouldn't return if it wasn't a catch with friends ๐Ÿคท

We had two families show up without a booking for dinner and the staff were extremely accommodating and even put us in the corporate area with tv on for the kids. Unfortunately my meal was dreadful. Almost inedible and the veggies just tasted wrong. The couple with us were happy with their meals.

Adequate meal but rather flawed. We ordered a garlic bread to start and I ordered a Stuffed Chicken Breast with vegetables and my wife ordered a chicken schnitzel with chips. The chicken in both meals was overcooked and the "stuffed" aspect consisted of a few sun roasted cherry tomatoes. My wifes chips were only warm when they arrived, however they were nicely seasoned. The garlic bread was nice, however a very small portion for the cost. The staff members were kind but seemed to be run off their feet. It will fill you up but will empty your wallet. 3/5
