Review Cinnamon - Launceston

Great food, great service, wonderful atmosphere. Great selection of entrees to choose from also main meals. Very reasonably priced. There were 3 of us, and we shared 2 entrees, main course, rice, roti and nan bread. We all left very satisfied. Highly recommend a visit if you like Indian food

Had a table of 9. Fantastic night. I loved the garlic naan bread and butter chicken medium spiced. Had also the coconut rice and try the lemon rice next time. Cannot wait to come back. Great location. Absolutely beautiful dinning atmosphere. It’s also in the entertainment book. ☺️

One of the most dissapointing meals in a while.. would not recommend at all. Entree ordered was onion bhaji which was nice but only consisted of 2 small patties.. and came with a tasteless brown sauce.. then it goes downhill from here. The second entree was paneer which again was ok.. but the raita sauce smelt odd... like it was off oily sauce?? So our main was vegie korma and paneer with their favourite curry.. turns out both sauces are the same with the addition of keens curry powder.. the korma does not resemble or taste like korma.. the vegies were sparce and the 2 pieces of potato reminded us of canned potato... the paneer for the meal had 4 pieces of paneer swimming in a very ordinary sauce. Best part of the meal appears to be the rice..which does not come with the overpriced meal.. and only because it was entirely covered in the sauce. This is a "local" restaurant and I will NOT be back!

This quaint Indian restaurant located off Launceston city centre was a pleasant surprise. The store front is simple and almost uninviting but the inside is charming, bright and modern. I was a bit worried about the quality of service we were going to receive because of the poorly dressed, uninterested waitress that greeted us on entry as she disappeared into the kitchen shouting "Sit at any table you want!" from behind the divider. She could definitely take up a waitressing course or watch a YouTube video to improve her skills. But as soon as the main waitress behind the till, elegantly dressed in a beautiful laced black dress shirt took over, the evening turned into one of our more memorable dining experiences during our stay in Tasmania. She provided excellent table service and was quite sociable. She checked on our condition throughout the meal and did not hesitate to fulfill our needs. The food was just as stellar. We ordered the standard butter chicken, papadums, roti and naan and was not disappointed. Meal was spiced to perfection while the curry sauce was thick and slightly buttery. Absolute heaven to the tongue. We cleaned up our plates proudly. Bread was also cooked extremely well, exhibiting a balanced texture of crunch and softness. It definitely complemented the curry in delectable matrimony. Overall I believe this is a dining experience not to be missed and you will be guaranteed excellent Indian food by checking out Cinnamon Café.

Really nice food and good service, it's my first time to try Indian food, and i will definitely try again. My boyfriend asked for a dish called Golgappa, the lady wrote down everything and told us how to cook by ourselves. Thank you very muchᐕ)⁾⁾

Had the most amazing Malai Kofta. The staff were really flexible in making Mysore chili with paneer. Each curry was cooked with perfect blend of spice and had an authentic taste. Garlic Naan and Cheese and Spinach Naan were really delicious.
